I think someone awhile back beat him with malerias cursed arm bangle. good icon coverage since he has a wide spread. he's easier if you blast some of his crap ( the death rolls right? I don't pay attention/remember)

Yes if you can blast one or both of his Death Rolls that stops him from spam healing. Freezing him often helps as well. His array of icons makes it hard to really defend but not impossible.

Shinwas: Got a booster Jobs: Nothing Gravebrat: Nothing BQs: Capped out at level 21, 2 skips of surge and a third surge. Seriously BQs wanted me to fight Surge at lvl 21 pretty bad.

I have had that happen to me a few times. Usually near the end when it wanted me to battle the island and just would not take no for an answer.

It is annoying as all hell, it is one thing between 20-25 to use both skips, but to use both on lvl 21, and then have to quit because all three were the same challenger. But I had a chunk of XP before I started BQs, so my daily planned stat gain didn't suffer.

Mal just asked for a dark water potion -- now selling for over 20K each. Since she's the weekend quest, she paid 4K and gave me an arid chai beanbag (339 sP), so does someone want to tell me again why they decided to stop stocking the AA, except for elixirs?

I understand the need for sP sinks, but why does it always feel like it is at our expense?

On the plus side, Shinny gave me a goblet! So glad to see she still has boosters. :)

They broke most all the shops in their attempt to 'fix' how they stock and as far as I can tell can't be pissed to get around to fixing it. I have seen shops go 20+ minutes without a restock, which is friggin pointless.

I know it's rediculous how long you have to sit there and refresh on the off chance you might get a potion let alone a pylonic or booster. I don't think I've seen an actual booster there since they moved the elixirs over to AA.

I stopped RSing there, the time involved versus payoff isn't worth it at this point.

True, I'll go there for a while after I've done all my "daileys". I thought when they had the average "3 minute restock" was perfect. You didn't have to wait long for stuff.

3 minutes might have been to quick of a turn around, but god it was better then 20 minutes.

They could have adjusted to 5 or even 10 minutes and it would have been fine, but 20 is a long time to sit and wait. I've even seen it go as long as 30-40 minutes. And I just realized I mispelled "ridiculous", where is my spell check???? Haven't had enough coffee yet.

Yeah a random variable of 3-12 minutes would have been perfect, but gah some of these times are insane. I have moved to RSing in a shop with lesser profits, but with less people actively RSing there.

Edit: After reading over MrCool's blog about surge 4-5 more times I gave him another shot and beat him, and so now I can advance in BQs for today, and don't have to skip him in the future.

Edit 2: made it all the way to level 29, the farthest I have made it to date.

The real problem with potions and pylonics is more likely the fact that people cant just sit at the mystery box on AA day and buy thousands while hoping for some random boosters. After the change I imagine some people bought out the shop search since there was thousands at low prices still, expecting a price increase, which they made sure to happen themselves. In amy case, I think it's rather better to have potions and pylonics not just be an easy extra damage block or other bonus every turn for the small amount of effort it takes to equip them. It's nice they have some real value and it makes them more of a last resort like they ought to be.
