That should be good to use. I just know I probably won't use it since I don't do Item Hunt often enough to justify the payoff (and don't desire a second swashbuckle).

Thank you. It truly does feel so great to finally be done with item hunt for once! It was a bit ironic when I did BQ's, Chase decided to show up for me 3x, as if the evil little rabbit needed get revenge.

I was in the same boat -- luckily saved me with the un-buyable item. Without her generosity, I never would have made it! I guess IH is becoming more of a team effort!

Anyway, to unlock Chase you have to refuse a quest anytime after level 75 I think it is. And the IH shield won't activate a curse against him. At least not for me. So much for using his weapons against him. LOL

I hate the fact that unlocking him as a challenger means that I need to work my way all the way up to level 76 again. Not that I couldn't do it all over again, I just hate how it takes forever. But at least I got the real challenge out the way now.

I'm really glad subeta has such a nice community of people willing to help each other out on beating Chase.

You can always use the [item2=gilded item tome] mentioned to start at level 50 or even the [item2=Ornamental Item Catalogue] to skip 10 levels… For right now I'm gonna sit at level 101 and take a breather for a little bit while my finances recover from that last go 'round. :)

So I have to get to 100 first for the sword and then pass 76 to unlock him. OMG. What a pain. LOL Aw, that sucks, but at least you got your mecha before they got stingy with you. Congrats on getting to your mini goal of 4500 in HP!
