Hahha, I see many will choose Treecko... since he was my choice in the original Sapphire, I will take him again. This time, in shiny ;P.... I've bred myself a 5 IV (missing speed) one a few months back, when I started completing my whole old Sapphire team but in shiny/5-6 IV, to see what it's like to start with a kickass team! (all are level 1, though.. xD) I hope we'll soon know when we will be able to trade Pokes over from YX... if only after the Elite four, then i will die :I

wow, my compliments on getting such a nice shiny. Also I don't think that we will only be able that late. After all Pokebank is an Internet based system. I think we might be able to trade them over after the first town. The games are still one gen so I don't think they'll make it overly complicated.

I know! I constantly stalk the Pokemon Reddit, and apparently a guy got the game early and is posting pictures on twitter, I think. I'm torn between the hype of wanting to see everything that is being leaked, but I also want to enjoy the game and be surprised by it when I play.

I've actually never chosen a Grass starter, so I'm excited to pick Treecko for the first time. :)

Took me quite a while to get him, in fact I had already given up for a few days (8 June-14 June XD), and after I returned and hatched my leftover eggs in the box, there he was XD My other 2 shinies, Trapinch and Poochyena also took way too long x.x and Elektrike I traded for one of my other shinies. Bagon i like more in non-shiny, and Milotic I already had as shiny in Y, so will stick to normal version in ORAS. But ... still have to find names for some of them oh dear True, I hope it will work via PokeBank and not only local trade, since I only have one 3DS (don't know if they work on normal DS...?)

I know ;A; When I heard there was a (low) chance to get it in Pearl too, I spent forever fishing for one. Then I fished half a box and gave lots away to friends/online friends (subeta too) XD later I traded them over to Black/bw2 to breed for shiny, but 40+boxes full and nothing. Later in Y i started IV breeding, but before I even really started, a shiny hatched. He doesn't have the best stats, but is still a beast in Duel towers/maison. So, for ORAS; I chose a normal but 6 IV female Milotic :3 with egg moves, I guess And thank you ;A; trying to sell some commishes before BF, but seems no luck, everyone else is saving too x.x

Aww, that's great :D Is it true that Flygon/Milotic will get a Mega, though? I keep stalking fb pokemon groups, and they said something about "Hidden megas" .. but I can't figure out if it's real or fake there... Shiny Mega Flygon drools!

someone traded me a shiny Feebas on Pokemon X. I have no clue about IVs and EVs though. I mainly just collect Pokemon. Maybe I should change that and get some really good pokemon as it seems that's the only way to be really good at that duel mansion thing.

I've been following the news closely, and from what has been found it looks like there will be no more new megas in the game. Someone hacked into the Pokebank update that was released last night and found all the data for all the megas in the game, which no new ones were found. So people are saying that means no new megas. Which I find unbelievable that Game Freak / Nintendo would announce ALL the megas in the game before it's released. That completely ruins the surprise aspect.

Also, there was an official interview done with a producer/director and he said that they won't be announcing all the megas in the game, that players will actually have to PLAY the game for themselves to discover all the megs. So either the guy just flat out lied, or the Pokebank update wasn't complete and they will be sending out a patch when the game is actually released to the public with updated megas and hopefully Battle Frontier.

wow, grats, that's lucky w I once got a shiny Eevee from wonder trade... and a shiny Wobuffet hahaha I never really cared abotu IVs and EVs before, until in FireRed, one day I noticed that my 3 legendary birds were getting weird stats on levelup. I kept fighting the same 2 trainers on an island, and their Pokemon all gave Attack-EVs. So when I leveled, I suddenly got 12 stats in attack.. that's when I started looking into it. (but not really doing them xD) I didn't start resetting legendaries for IVs until B/BW2 I think.... and in Y, anyway. Now I even have a word file, lol IV: 31 is best in every stat. my Y Zapdos for example: 31/31/31/24-25/30/30 Means HP ATK DEF are max. Sp. Attack only 24-25 of 31 (there are IV calculators) and SDef Spd 30. And yes, in battle maison/the other thing you really need high IVs or you won't get far.. i'm assuming the enemies got high IV too, EVs anyway. EV training is really easy now with super training..

sounds like a good mix of types to me! I don't really remember all gym leaders, but I think you should be fine. I myself am just using my 2003 team pretty much: Sceptile, Mightyena, Salamence, Milotic, Manetric and Flygon.

Awww :/ That is the saddest thing. I really wanted those two as Megas.... POKEMON Y U MAKE ME SAD. And them annoucing all already x.x I really hope for the second case. I really want more Megas, and I could imagine them doing it with an update, since they probably know about hackers, lol. Would be a smart move, if that's really what they did.

Yeah, I gave up breeding Eevees... I ended up finding one in friend safari, he is still in my bank because the nature wouldn't fit an Umbreon... later on I managed to win a shiny Sylveon in a giveaway on facebook x3 lol, you just reminded me that I still had a shiny Rayquaza on GTS that a guy traded for our scatterbugs (he had 2 boxes full) I know, i'm really lazy to do supertraining too :I But yyu can also do mass encounters for easy EV leveling, just keep using sweet scent in a grass /cave and use a move that hits all enemies. I found 3 shiny Elektrikes that way (all horrible stats.........) but took some weeks too, to find them...
