455 over here. Lots more waffling on my end then I was happy with, but I left myself starting a blank section instead of picking up a half full page so eh, at least I've got a start now.

I left off mid-thought (finished the sentence, though). This is proving to be a really rough scene for me. It's one of those difficult-for-the-characters stilted scenes and involves 6 different characters all at once. I can't even describe this scene (I just tried to summarize it 3 different ways and they all sucked) other than painful to write.

- sounds icky. I remember having that problem with my other story, having 5 MCs plus supporting characters always is hard!

It's my MC, plus my two additional MCs (the Love Interest and the LI's half-sister), main MC's father and maternal aunt, and main MC's best friend. At the final evening meal before main MC leaves on a long trip. AND he and the LI just essentially got engaged. Which is totally cool in the minds of everyone except Auntie who takes it rather personally but she can't outright SAY that, so there is a subtle snap and bigoted asshattery in every line of her dialogue. It's just... ouch. I heavily dislike writing it and I'm REALLY looking forward to being past it! (thank you for the encouragement XD)

- I got 269 words that time. A bit more, but still not great. But better than nothing! Turtling my way along. over 4k total now :) Slowly making up for lost days. I hope to be ahead by tomorrow because I work thursday and that's gonna dampen my progress.

- I write faster than I think sometimes haha! Oh well. I keep telling myself not to look at what I write... I need to not be an editor while doing my rough draft or it'll never get done. That's been my downfall every other year.

- it's definitely a hard habbit to get out of! I remember my first year of nano when I could just sit for an hour and punch out 2000 words. I've gotten progressively slower every year! haha. It's been harder in every other year too since I've got a continuing story, and I keep having to go back and look up facts, and names etc.
