- Not even close. Barely made the daily minimum! I've got about two hours before work now, hoping to get a bunch done in that time.

Just signed up on the NaNoWriMo site and entered my word count for the day... (Which will function as my baseline mostly.) Now to get to work on my elaborations, revisions, and additions. I am excited to begin revisiting these ideas.

It's AeonFree. (Trying to figure out that little word count banner thing currently.) Feel free to add me but... Just FYI... I am not very good at being a steady source of support, entertainment, or anything useful really. Mostly I just trundle along focusing on my stuff, looking around occasionally when I get bored/frustrated. LOL

- I see you figured out the widgets :) Just added you as a writing buddy. I don't really interact with my buddies much on the actual nano site, mainly just here, and on skype.

So I brought my laptop to work today (since we're not going back north to home and then south to Portland - that would be silly) and I've managed to get about 650 words over the course of the day. Not bad considering it's been with multiple distractions even when on my 15 minute breaks! :)

I'll be typing on it in the car partway too, I think... depends on how long the battery lasts and how much it distracts my gf while she's driving XD

- I brought mine too, there is no inconspicuous place to put it here though, but I'm using my work computer, and I brought a USB memory stick if I get a chance to write. I only got about 1000 words written this morning before leaving for work :( Still need about 4.5k more to catch up!

You're doing so well! Even if you chip away a little each day, I'm amazed at how well you do at cranking the power up and catching up on the word count.

I need to customize my profile more, but right now I'm gonna settle into some writing. Hopefully... Had some chocolate earlier and now I just feel jittery.

- w00! Buddied up! The only badge I don't have is the donation badge, but I donate in person at the official events, so no badge for me. I'm sure I'll be able to catch up. I've been worse off before. Last year I didn't even have 15k for the halfway party, still managed to pull through. GL to you too! I'm sure you can catch up too.

lol it's not my commute home - that would take about 45 minutes. I'm going down to Portland for the weekend :)

- w00! Cheering section! Halfway party is pretty much what it sounds like, a party, halfway through nanowrimo/the month of november, the 15th (aka tomorrow). We get together and party that we're halfway done, and then we have a write-in afterwards! It's good times, and in all my years going to the events, I have not actually had 25k words at the halfway party, I was hoping this year would be the first. (my first year doing nano, I was at 25k at the halfway point, but I didn't know about the community events at that point)

- cheers Better than nothing! I have a friend who wrote negative 12 words yesterday, so it could be worse! You could be travelling backwards!

-takes a break- My eyelids are trying to close on me, even though I shouldn't be sleepy right now. Gonna try moving around and watching TV to see if that will wake me up.

Anyway, I don't know my words-per-hour but I've now gone up another 837 words. Before I go to bed I'm gonna try to remember to update my NaNoWriMo word count... I am hoping to have increased my count by 2000 words or more by then.

XD I guess so. I did get to 20k today.

-sighs- My in-file word count says I have 6,802 right now (which is awesome!) but I need to do some editing... I'll probably lose a few hundred words when I go back and make sure my notes make sense. I'll probably gain them back and then some as I track down info and continue to elaborate, so it should work out okay.

So as not to undermine myself and go too far backward: If I am noticing a decided change in plot from what I've started with, I'll probably just make it a completely different "text block" and leave the first "block" alone.
