There were some security holes when the site changed serves and some users found out about this and abused the issue. There's an item called Super Attack Pea that was recently worth about a billion Neopoints and was extremely rare. Now they're all over the auctions, trades, etc. And that's just the one item, not to mention everything else that was duped (morphing potions, draik eggs, battle weapons, even more piddly things like paint brushes and codestones). Basically people are afraid to buy and sell now since The Neopets Team has been known to be so trigger happy with banning accounts. They're afraid if they accidentally have duped items or dirty Neopoints on their account they will be frozen, so everything has stalled over there. As far as HOW people are duping and taking advantage of the glitch, I have no idea. And I don't want to know, either, haha.

Neopets seems to have a higher proportion of people who are happy to cheat if they get the chance than other petsites. Perhaps it's just the people are more vocal about being able to cheat Neopets because of the general disdain people harbor for the site, but I just don't feel at all surprised that some people are actively doing that. It sucks that it's weighing on other people's minds, though.

I don't even care anymore. A lot of people I know don't even care any more. I especially don't care since I found that I really and truly enjoy playing on this site.

I came here from neopets as well, I got tired of beeing warned/silenced for talking about normal everyday stuff on the boards and when a friend told me about this site I made an account and I've been hooked since =D I still have my account on neo, but I don't play anymore unless there's an event cause I still want the trophies, lol xD Wow, I had no idea what was going on, I just took a look at the TP and there are dozens of SUAPs, it's unbelievable O__O I used to love neo so much, I still care about it but they completely ruined it =( They don't care about cheaters, the site is full of people who use programs to autobuy from shops and auctions, UCs get sold for real money outside neo and the same happens with paintbrushes , morphing potions and neocash items. They don't do anything about cookie grabbers, yet regular players get frozen for the most ridiculous reasons and there's no way to get your account back shrugs There are so many things here that work a lot better, but the one that shocked me coming from neopets is that tickets get answered almost instantly and the staff is so incredibly nice and helpful, you won't believe it!!! haha yeaah, unfortunately that is a pretty accurate description. I have just been doing my dailies on there since the transition, because like others said, everyone is afraid of getting frozen due to duped items. I heard that there was a glitch when sending another user an item. Instead of getting just one item, you would get lots of that item.

Oh Lord, they duped SUAPs and Draik eggs? Nothing surprises me over there. They've never done anything about the cookie grabbers, the auto buyers, the people that obviously cheat at games, so it would be amazing if they did something to catch the actual bad guys. Nope, innocent people get frozen for no reason.

Then there's the fact that you have to be so careful of what you post. I even used to get that stupid Meerca of Doom just for posting something with an apostrophe. You can't talk about real world stuff and you damn well better not mention any other sites.

Being sold again is probably not going to change a thing.

I'm sure there's bunch of cheaters duping NPs right now as well. Typically once an exploit on items is found, duping NPs aren't far behind. x.x I still play on there, but just for dailies and the labray. Otherwise I could careless about that place.

On your top navigation bar, hover your mouse over Interact, then hover over Forums in the dropdown list, and you should see 'Forum Groups'. Hm. How long do y'all reckon it's been like that? Seems like the sort of thing they should be trying to fix ASAP. Neopets never was good at keeping players in the loop about what's going on behind the scenes, though, so I'm not particularly surprised that they've said next to nothing about it.

Ugh, I know right? It's almost impossible to do anything on Neopets with out getting banned. And the NP generation by playing the games is almost non existent. I mean you had users there who mysteriously got the coolest paintbrushes but you try to get one on your own let alone any doubloons and BAM! a warning and suspension from the suckist boards ever.

Viacom really messed it up beyond redemption in my eyes.

The apostrophe bullcrap is because putting an apostrophe on some of the old fashioned pages with ancient coding would literally break if you used an apostrophe. It's sad and pathetic. Being sold won't make any difference unless they fire everyone who works on the website and hire an all new staff, and I don't see that happening.

I was huge on battling at Neopets (well, I was enjoying the battling and was working my way up to elite status... so a step below elite status? I was doing well!) but I'm not in too much of a hurry to start battling here... yet. I'm jaded feeling like I will have to essentially start all over again with training and obtaining weapons and ugh. I'm not in a hurry to begin but I'm sure I won't be able to quell my desire for battling for too long.

About two weeks. They finally mentioned "a serious item issue" in today's editorial, but were vague and still has no resolution. What a crapshow.

I feel redemption is impossible as well. It's gone too far downhill.

Mm. Neopets never has been as open as some other sites are, so it doesn't surprise me that they're being vague about it. At least they're aware of the problem.

I am pretty sure it is a new issue since the transition happened two weeks ago. They also got rid of Habitarium during the transition which was my main source of Neopoints. I made 100-150k through that a day and now poof, income gone. I am stubborn and bitter, so I haven't gave in to learning how to earn NP through stocks yet. :p Eventually, eventually... haha

I know, it's stupid that they have so many problems that go way back and nothing is ever done.

Ahah, no problem, it happens sometime xD I feel your pain about the battling part, I have a maxed out pet on neopets and starting all over again here wasn't easy, I'm still kinda of a newbie when it comes to battles on Subeta but I keep training my pet and eventually I know I'll get there and so will you ^_^

Pretty much everything has been duped, I don't know the system but apparently it's so easy that once you get it you can dupe every item you own so people are putting thousands of illecit codestones and other small stuff on the market, basically you can't buy anything if you wanna play on the safe side =_= Yeah, I don't think things are gonna change unless they hire different people to run the site, clearly the staff they have now can't do their job shrugs

The stocks are super boring. I've poked at them before but I never considered them a valid source of game income, personally. I don't know how people do it.

Not surprised at all. Not the first time Neo has gone through this and since they never learn their lesson it will happen over and over.

I made it so no one but NF can send me items and I filled my inventory; but damn, it's so stupid. TNT won't talk about it, they won't tell anyone anything and worse they won't do anything.

There's nothing really to know about making money buying stocks on Neo. Buy when they're selling at 15np a share, buy 1000 shares. Buy daily, but only buy if they're 15np/share. (If you have to skip a day because they're not selling at 15, skip a day.) Then only sell if it's in the green- you only loose money if you choose to sell when it's in the red. Most people wait til stocks are selling at 60np/share but I always sold at 30np/share because that's 100% profit and I'm not too greedy. Hope this helps.

Stocks are great in the long time , you just need to do them as a daily, buy 1000 stocks of anything that's at 15 and sell them when they reach 40/60, but it takes time and you can go on months without seeing any income.I suggest trying battling , if you have a decent pet battle the koi warrior everyday and sell the codestones (unless you need them for training); also, I'd tell you to try the food club but I think it's broken right now =_= I follow THIS PERSON'S BETS and I made over 6 millions over the years, you just have to remember to play everyday , and even if you lose don't worry cause eventually you'll make a profit!! pokes results Bets Placed Bet Total Win Total Difference 1990 7640040 NP 14387700 NP 6747660 Except you can't right now cause he's not updating the page because of all the bugs, lol..
