All this subeta talk about birthdays and cake made me crave pastries which I'm trying to reduce my intake of (trying being the main word here), but I couldn't help myself and they had brownies at the checkout. I didn't even wait until after dinner I just opened it now and indulged. Why does un-healthy have to be so delicious (and vice versa)?

- Me too! On the redhead, fairskin perpetually burned part. I like spring and summer from my window and once in a while outside, because I do love being outside in the sun but there is a limit to how hot I can handle it. I'm not a fan of winter, but fall is my favorite season, it's orange which is my favorite color. The past few years I've been trying to "freckle" which is redhead version of tan, but I can't spend more than 20 minutes in direct sunlight or I'll be as red as ketchup. I love the snow but not the cold, and I've gotten winter sun-burned before. D:

Apples to apples is a game where one player puts down an adjective or descriptor word like "funny" and then all the other players put in a noun that would be able in some way to be described by that descriptor. So for funny you might play Dog, Comedy, Hugh Laurie, etc.. On Subeta it would be the same thing only you would offer in an item that has a name that might fit the descriptor. So for instance in the other thread the word was "messy" someone could have put in: or or or in my case and you would look through the options and pick your favorite whether it's something that made you laugh or something you felt fit the description very well, it's your decision. And then you would accept the winning bid and that user would get the "prize" item(s) that was in the lot with that description.

Yeah, did that the other day and that Messy/skirt thing was the first thing that came to mind, so it might be more of a Cards Against Humanity giveaway than Apples to Apples, since it's dirtier, but I totally wanna do that sometime.

if you ever get a chance, try and pick up "Apples to Apples" out in the "real" world. The game is amazingly fun. There is a group of 4 of us who play it (and the darker "cards against humanity") a LOT. We've been known to play for endless hours, it is AMAZING fun. There are also expansion packs to have more and more and more cards. SO MUCH FUN. We also allow people to lobby for cards (theirs or others.) We've had some interesting accidental conversations.

As an example we were playing and we're big pigs who love to snack. Tajei said "I hate swiss cheese" and I was right in the middle of getting ready to say I wanted to lobby for a card.... so my reply came out "I'd like to lobby for Richard Nixon, I love swiss cheese." That was one of our first games together a couple years ago and it STILL gets brought up at least once month. For some reason the guys all thought it was hysterically stupid. (I'm the only girl, I get out voted!)

I could really use this lazy days one. Missed the salsa due to some family stuff. A lot of bad news lately and it's wearing me thin. So glad I can come on here and just relax for a little while. Various family members are in poor health and friends of mine are splitting up with their significant others of several years. It's been a whirlwind.
