Agh, it bothers me too. The worst is when vegans bug me and say I'm only going "half-way" and just fooling myself. I'm a vegetarian because I can't digest meat. I totally miss bacon. xD

I'd never bother someone and try to convince them into becoming a vegetarian. It's one of those things right? My body, my choice.

I have to disagree with one thing I've read on this thread though. The fact that a person being a vegetarian won't change anything regarding animal cruelty or the amount of meat that is produced. Don't underestimate the power of one person changing their opinions. What a terrible lesson to teach that you shouldn't do what you feel is ethically right because it won't make a difference!

I didn't make a huge deal, I made a thread to tell my friends and other people who cared so that i didn't have to individually contact them. It turned into a shitfest and that was not my fault.

If you want to be a vegetarian, I still don't support it, but I wouldn't actually tell you that or bring it up ever. What they eat is a stupid thing to judge people on. Please do me the same courtesy. :P

On topic though, I completely agree with the OP. I cannot stand vegetarians and vegans like that. It's the same thing with religion imo; as long as you respect me and my beliefs, I will respect you and yours. yes, exactly. my friend was one of those people who hated religion, and hated when people shoved it up your butt, but then she sent me all these links to like, meat.com trying to convince me that eating animals was terrible and blah blah blah.

she finally got over it, but for about a week there when ever i would mention what i was having for dinner, she'd ask me why i can't try being a vegetarian. i can't be a vegetarian because i doubt i'd get enough protien otherwise and i love love meat so idk.

It was just her idiotic excuse for going on the diet to lose weight. I am a vegetarian, and I am against animal cruelty. However I am not a fan of PETA, I think they're idiots.
