Bic: Jasper Strode into the book Store. Despite the Fact it was party hours, the store was relatively empty. Acctually, it was completely empty, save for Jasper and the Cashier. She wasnt an attractive lady, so he Avoided any uneeded conversation. Slowly he began to scan through the books, looking at ones that lappeared completely boring, to those he had, and finally onto some newer things, that he had no memory of yet. He took a seat in one of their one seater chairs and flipped through one of the older Charles Dickens Novels that he knew, but had yet to add to his collection.
Hostililty was etched into every fiber of her being, Almost covering the Beauty that lied beneath it. She was a site to be Sure. A Small Girl, scaring even the toughest looking men into tripping out of her way. She stomped along the streets, hissing every once and awhile, especially when she saw a family walking along. It seemed that this was mostly how Maria acted lately. At First, she tried.
She Tried to fit in. Tried to keep moving on. Tried to love the fact that she would never die. But this Life had led her to a Life of Loneliness. A Life of Sorrow. One of anger and hatred. Even if Somebody came along that wanted to travel with her, as a companion, they were soon scared away by the agression that was constantly about her.
Long brown hair waved slightly as each step bounced her lightly. Unfortunately for one - or two - of the humans in this town, she was hungry. And usually, her killings were more agressive than she usually was. Yes, She did appear extra nice before she killed, not minding it a male or female victim, but once alone, the Target felt the true rath of her rage.
She walked on without purpose at the moment, just trying to seek out a victim, but not feeling as though this was the right area. Mabye she would wait until the town was more full. She hadnt been in New Orleans Long. Merely just passing by for a week or so, until she deemed it fit to leave.
Ooc: Sorry, I know it doesnt really matter..and we probably dont want this board filled with Ooc chat..But I was Wondering if you two are going to bring yalls characters out with everybody else sometime Soon. x.x Sorry. Im not Trying to Be Mean, I was just wondering.

Caine continued on down Bourbon. The music pouring out of the different clubs and bars mixed on the clubs and in Caine's mind, putting him at ease for a moment, easing his sense of urgency. The air was not quite so thick with the scent of vampire, perhaps Seiren was not in so much danger.
His silver eyes wandered over the wrought iron balconies of the homes, hung with strings of lights and Mardi Gras beads, catching and reflecting the glow of the street lights. He had settled in the right place all those years ago. He couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
He thought of the waterways of Venice and of the beautiful architecture, but it just couldn't compare to the promises of black magic and mystery that New Orleans could offer.
Maria continued on, Also walking along Burbon Street. The Dance Music annoyed her, and she found the lights hanging from everywhere extremely tacky. Italy had been her favorite place. She'd lived there for a Good part of her Life. Both Human and Vampiric. London was extremely beautiful too. At least at those places she felt a sense of...Home. She felt so Close to the family she'd once had. No Recollection of them came to her mind at the moment, frustrating her even more.
She wore small black dress, one usually worn as a summer dress. It was acompanied by small black shoes, more of what a school girl would wear. Heels were suprisingly inconvenient for a vampire, especially on hunting night. Unknowingly she brushed past Caine, well aware that he was a vampire, but thanks to her nature, she didnt care to speak to anybody, Human and Vampire alike.
A young vampire girl brushed past Caine and he did a double take. He recognized her scent under the scent of death. Maria. He turned. "Maria!" he called after her. His little sister, in New Orleans! How could that be? She was dead!
She looked just the same as he remembered her, over two hundred years ago: long, dark curls, much like his own, a beautiful, doll-like face. She was still so small. His heart ached. He missed her so much. But when had she been turned? Who had turned her? Who had been so heartless as to attack his darling little sister?
"Maria" a Voice Behind Her Called. Her First thought was to turn around and acknowledge whoever it was. But Instead, she decided to run. Have i done something wrong? She thought as her feet began to take off, carying her at a very unnatural speed. Her short legs slowed her down quite a bit, but it was easier to move around people with such a small Body. Into the next Street she ran, hoping that her scent would be masked by that of the humans. She wasnt very familiar with how the streets worked here, therefore was a little confused upon where to go. It wasnt long before she ducked into a smokey bar, sure that the intense smell of cigarettes and alcohol would disguise the smell of corpses.
She was barely out of breath by the time she sat in the far side of the room, mostly in the shadows. There were Humans everywhere in here, so she was for the most part covered. Although the looks she was getting told her that she was either too welcome, or very unwelcome. Being stuck at the age 15 for the rest of your life did that. When a waitress came by to take her order, she merely ordered a water, rather than trying to have an argument that she was to young to consume alcohol. "Who would know me in a such a rundown town? she wondered half allowed.
Caine followed swiftly, feeling guilty for having startled her. He had more trouble maneuvering through the crowds than she did, though. He was not so small as she. He ended up simply pushing many tottering drunks out of the way, looking half-crazed. He trailed her to Flannhigan's, one of the smokiest bars he knew of. She was trying to cover her scent. Smart girl. Unfortunately, he also knew her human scent.
As he stepped through the door of the bar, he lit up a cigarette, realizing that he hadn't had one since the previous night. He usually had a pack-a-day habit. He took a deep drag and exhaled through his nose. Her scent was strong and easy to catch, he followed it to the shadowed side of the room and took the seat across the table from her. He ashed his cigarette and smiled at her. "Hello, Maria," he murmured. "It's been far too long. To be honest, I thought that you were dead."
Marias eyes came up to meet his. Although she had been half hoping he would have lost her, she was still expecting to see him. A Low Snarl passed through her lips, causing some of the humans near them to switch tables, or merely scoot as far away as possible. She crossed her arms over her chest, contorting her face into a stuborn mask. "You Act as though Im thrilled to see you" She finally spat, not knowing who or what he wanted. She figured he was somebody she owned something to from her early vampire years. Although it was uncommon for a vampire to forget a face, she seemed to do it quite easily and often. Though he did seem Familiar. "So What is it that I owe You, Hmm?"
The waitress reached the table with her water just then causing Maria to suddenly drop the furious mask she usually held in place. She smiled Pleasantly, thanking the women before taking a sip. She Shall be Tonights Meal Maria thought to herself. As soon as she was out of site she formed the god awful face again, brown eyes ablaze.
Caine's smile melted away. Did she not know who he was? Or did she simply have no interest in their reunion? His metallic eyes became dull. "You own me nothing," he replied. "You should know that. In a family, there are no debts." He wished that she would stop making that face. He took another drag off of his cigarette and held the smoke. "Do you really not remember me? Your own brother?"
The waitress came by and he ordered a shot of whiskey. As he waited for it, he finished his cigarette and stared at his sister in silence. When his drink came, he quickly downed it and sighed. This was not the reunion that he was expexting.
Maria's face changed into a smug smile. "Brother you say? Impossible. I was Born a Vampire. And Therefore have No Family." What she said didnt exactly make sense. But it was the only explanation. She'd Been Alone he Whole life and although vampires were unable to conceive or have children of their own, there were always exceptions. Right? She Doubted even herself for a moment and almost broke down into what a vampire would concider "tears" but she remained strong, not wanting to break her carefully formed shell that shed had all these years.
Caine chuckled. "You do see the flaw in your logic, right?" he asked. "Vampires cannot procreate. You can't be born a vampire." He smirked as he always had in the past when proving his sister wrong. "You were born to Lucan and Tazia Lovell, as was I, in Venice, Italy. They were not vampires."
He lit another cigarette, staring at his little sister, waiting for her to react violently to his contradiction as she often did. Inhale. Exhale. He raised an eyebrow, almost challenging her.
Maria saw the challenge on his face. It was Disgusting. The way he though that he could just, waltz into her life, Tell her who she was, and expect her to believe it. The Names did Ring a Bell though. She nodded slightly before muttering, "Your a Fool to Think that I would believe you, after Centuries have passed of my wondering alone." Calmly She stood, alough she was rigid with anger, and turned away from him. She walked slowly away knowing that too much more of this could ruin her hunting mood and also break her down into nothing. She felt weak in the presence of this vampire and it disturbed her to very core.
"But I always did, didnt I" She was suprised by her own thought. Shaking it away quickly she passed through the doors, hoping that she would be able to sit and wait for the waitress to leave the bar, In Peace. It was a Slim chance, but she decided to at least try for it.
Caine remained at the table and ordered another shot of Whiskey. He would give Maria time to process everything that he had just thrown at her. He sipped his drink and watched the patrons of the bar. They all moved slowly and without much coordination. He smiled absently. This was not the reunion he had been expecting at all. He had been expecting perhaps a hug or some show of affection. A girl at the next table over tried to catch his eye. It was cute. She must have been eighteen at the very oldest. He wondered vaguely if Seiren was okay.
After two more drinks, he set a few bills on the table and went outside to see Maria. He thought that he had given her more than enough time to come to terms with what had happened. Caine had little patience. He sat down beside his sister outside the bar and lit up another cigarette. "So, are you going to be pleasant now?" he asked.
"Pleasant?" The word was muffled slightly by Maria's shaking voice. She was reflecting upon her life. Trying to Remember mostly, but also thinking about how she treated people. Even now, she thought that she had good reason for it. She Would remain 'pleasant' with this man for now, mabye stick around awhile, and hope to truely remember him. But if time went by and nothing came, she would also pass along, into new territory. Alone.
Although she was thanful that mabye, some higher being, if there truely was such a thing, had given her this opportunity, She still could not recall much about him. His name came suddenly to mind, giving her a slight hope deep within her. "Caine" She spoke his name aloud and it stirred her heart, which hadnt beat for centuries. It awakened the little girl within her again. Almost like her memory was coming back. But just when it looked hopefull, just when it was all there, It was gone again.
Caine grinned and nodded. "That's right. You remember?" He inhaled smoke and then slowly exhaled small, neat smoke rings. He sighed. "I've missed you."
Being with Maria brought back so many very good memories of his priviledged mortal life. He had been denied nothing. He had many friends. He was never alone. He missed that life. Now, he remained in the shadows, was known by few, was always alone, and watched death every night. He wondered how life had been for Maria since she had been changed. He ashed his cigarette on the steps leading up to the door of the bar.
He raked his long hair back from his face and glanced at his sister. She looked so much like their mother. They both did really except that he had his father's eyes. It was just so strange seeing her again.
Maria shook her head slightly "Only Your Name" She said, her tone still a bit hostile. She was so used to shunning people away, so used to being agressive and rude. It was going to take quite some time before she was able to change. If she Was even able to. It seemed unlikely. But Mabye this Man would bring back something in her. She could feel that his presence alone was changing her. She Looked Up to Him Once. And Now, after all these Years, Nothing had really changed.
Her legs swung back and forth, barely sweeping across the ground as they did so. She was trapped, in this small body, forever. But she still wasnt completely used to it. It made her look and feel weak. Although she knew she was not. Her strength might have even been suprising for a vampire. It was the hate that she harvested all these years that made her who she was. And Now..She had to completely change all of it.
Ooc: Mabye we should wait on the other?
