Jasper turned around just before he departed from the room and looked the human straight in the face. "He wont always be there To Protect you girl. And the Moment He Isnt. There I'll be" His eyes sparkled slightly and his face lit up into a smile before he turned and laughed. If she Hadnt mouthed off to Sonia then he probably would have let it go. But that Human, as Sonia said, Did over step her Boundaries. He stepped again out into the night air, sniffing slightly as he did so. The wind was still blowing furiously. Why did I pick Such a Humid City? he wondered curiously. It was just by chance that he'd come here. But Once he found out how easily food was obtained here, he made a permanant home of it. For The time Being.
Jasper Nodded Taking his Jacket back from the Vampire. He quickly slipped it on and began to run in the opposite direction. He still had a good ways to run and wouldnt make it before the sun rose if he continued as his human pace. Quickly he sped up, running past people more like a ghost than anything. His thoughts were racing as fast as he was, if not faster. It wasnt Really as long as he'd anticipated before he'd arrived home, but it was just in time. Not Even 5 minutes before he'd gotten into his house and the sun showed its way through the clouds, touching all with its hungry rays.
The House was pitch black. It was easy for him to find his way through, of course. Although it was dark inside, not merely the lighting, but the furniture too. It wasnt something that you would expect from one of the "living Dead." The House did not have any coffins, but rather large bed. One which, he quickly made his way too. He wasnt tired, but stumbling through the house until night time didnt seem very entertaining.
"I'm proud of you," Caine murmured thoughtfully once the intrusive duo had taken their leave. He had never met such a brave young woman. She had to have realized that there was something just a bit off about their visitors, yet she still stood up to them. "You handeled that very well."
He began to pace the living room, careful not to knock over any candles. He was still to riled up to sit down. His cat hopped up onto the car next to Seiren and watched him with golden eyes, purring loudly.
Viviane just shrugged. "I've never minded dhampirs actually. That's another reason vampires don't really like me. They say that I should have them, hate that they are both predator and prey in the same body. I find it interesting really, but that is just me I suppose,'' she explained with a slight shrug. She smiled a bit at Lae's comment about relationships. "Don't worry, I've never been good at getting them. Well, that doesn't count with ones with humans. Those are too easy to get around here. Plus, they never seem to last...'' she said with a slight dismissive wave. What she meant by they never lasted was that she ended up feeding off of them and killing them.
Her house was a cute one, small but two stories tall, a light blue. Cute. Walking up stairs, she went into a room that was almost empty except for a tv and a giant stereo. Grabbing a remote, she pressed a button and the stereo came on. Pressing another, the tv came on. The screen had several little boxes. Yeah. She has security cameras everywhere. So what? The stereo played Lordi and could be heard throughout the house.
Without anything else to do, Claire went to her bedroom and changed her shirt. It was white but she wasn't going to wear it out. Not this time. "Damn blood." She threw the other shirt away. Backing up to the bed, she put her arms out and fell back onto the bed. That's where she would stay the rest of the day unless something happened.
Ooc: Im assuming that Crow and Kittie arent done with their roleplaying for "the Night" So This is just a Bump. <3 ....sorry if you would prefer I call you By your Full UserNames. x.x;;
((You can call me Crow, TheCrow, Shelby, or Sushi. And this scenario should be ending soon-ish.)) "What's wrong?" Caine asked, stifiling a yawn, noticing the faint glow of sunlight filtering through the gauzy red curtains. She was certainly human. The sunlight should have no affect on her. He sat down beside the girl and stretched, arching his back. The cat brushed against his hand until he gave in and scratched behind its ears.
Ooc: I have A Question. What is Your Idea About Vampires? Obviously, The Burn in Sunlight (not Sparkle) and they need Blood. But Along the lines of ability. Are the Stronger, Faster...Do They Sweat and Release other ....human fluids. x.x;; Sorry. Its Just. Everybody has a Different perspective these days on what Vampires Should Be.
((I do believe that they are stronger and faster than humans, but I don't believe that they have a metabolism, and therefore do not excrete wastes or sweat. I also believe that they have adapted night-vision and a very sensetive sense of smell.))
Caine bit his lip, considering for a moment the predicament. This girl had a problem similar to his. She was very nearly a vampire. How cute. "Well, I guess we both sleep during the day." He glanced around his apartment, his bedroom was at the end of the hallway, clean, with the bed all made up. He supposed she could sleep there. He would take the couch. It made no difference where he slept.
"Well, I suppose you can stay here in my room. I'll sleep on the couch."
Caine shook his head. "Please, I insist. I can't let a lady sleep on a couch when there is a perfectly good bed available. I won't take no for an answer." He smiled and went to the hall closet and took a large, soft blanket from the top shelf. He took it back to the couch and set it back down. "That's for me. The bed is already made up."
Caine curled up on the couch and covered himself with the blanket. It was strange having a woman in his house again- especially a young one. It felt like they were two strangers who knew each other very well. He smiled and gently reminded himself that she wasn't his sister. People don't come back.
He curled himself into a tighter ball and nestled his face into the couch pillow. He was so tired. The night had been so long and so eventful. Besides, he had gone too long without eating. He would have to hunt as soon as the sun set. There was no choice in that.
Slowly, his eyelids became heavy and sleep took him.
Caine woke roughly at seven. The first thought that occured to him was that his entire apartment smelled like Seiren, but it was fading. She had already left. Damn! Those two could have snatched her up by now.
He swung his long legs off of the couch and got up, making his way into his room. He immediately noticed that she had made his bed. How sweet. She was a good girl. He pulled open his closet door and selected a pair of blue jeans and a Belle and Sebastian tee-shirt. There wasn't time for a shower now, not if he was going to hunt before finding Seiren. He quickly got dressed and pulled a brush through his hair.
The damn cat was being needy. He meowed and purred and rubbed against Caine's leg. He wanted food. Caine opened a can of food and set it down on the kitchen floor before leaving.
Japer woke to the screams that filled his nightmares. He panted loudly and if he was human, would have been sweating and on the brink of a heart attach. His eyes scanned the room for just a moment before he stood and walked out into a large hallway. He walked lazily, still tired, but very aware of all that was around him. The old clock in the hallways read Seven O'clock, on the mark. It tolled noisily, giving him a sort of head ache, but he brushed it off before it could reach anything more than that.
Opening a Large closet door he stepped in a grabbed the first thing to touch his hand. A Pair of worn jeans and black t-shirt. Quickly he slipped into his clothes, not really sure what he would do today. Mabye he would give the girl and older vampire a break for the time being. He wasnt hungry and didnt need to feed tonight. Slipping on a jacket, he stumbled down the stairs, trying to decide what to do. There was an old book store in town, mabye he would go choose one to add to his already massive collection. Something that usually calmed him was reading a good book every once and awhile.
Although he Enjoyed when people wrote a good vampire book, he was absolutely disgusted by the "Twilight" Series, that everbody was crazing over. It moked his kind, ridiculed them. And Put ridiculous thoughts into their head about Sparkles in the Sunlght. If I sparkled in the sunlight do you think I'd be confined to a dark house during the daytime the though was annoyed, as were all of his thoughts on the matter. Slowly he left his house, walking calmly into the evening.
Ooc: No insult was Meant To Twilight in this Post. xP I just thought it would be nice to get it from a vampires Point of view. x.x sorry...And Im gonna Go ahead and add a new Character, for my next Post.
((I totally agree with you. I can't stand Twilight. I'm more of an Anne Rice fan, myself.))
Again, Caine found himself at the French Market watching the beautiful Mexican girl sell her pretty bohemian dresses. He had watched her for weeks now. Every night, the breeze had blew her sweet candy-and-wine smell toward him and he had thought about her blood, but every night, he had found another. Now, he hadn't fed in three nights.
She was on tonight's menu.
He approached her tent and her scent grew stronger, mixing with the subtle iron smell of her blood. She smiled at him briefly before turning her attention to another customer.
He wandered around the tent, pretending to examine her wares, fingering rings and bracelets and stroking the fabrics of dresses and blouses. They were all unique and handmade. He wondered vaguely if she made them herself.
"Pardon me, miss?" he murmured in her ear.
She looked up and smiled. "Yes? How can I help you?" she asked in a soft accent.
Skelly:
Name: Maria
Age: Looks to be around 14 or 15 But is MUCH older. Cant Remember exact age.
Gender: Female
Species: Vampire
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: Maria is rather short. Long Brown locks of hair falls in ringlets down her back. Shes Very Pale and appears to be of Italian Descent. Big Brown Eyes are set into a beautiful face, calling in any who look upon it. They are absolutely mesmerizing(sp?) She has a Well Defined body, despite her "young" age.
Personality: Maria is a Bit over protective of herself. Having been turned at a relatively young age, she is usually very hostile and aggresive. Her Whole past was erased from her memory. Everything. Almost like it never happened. The last thing she Does remember is waking up alone, as a blood crazy monster. Obviously she didnt choose the life of a vampire. Or if she Did She Doesnt Remember it. When Meeting others she usually says whatever comes to mind, not minding if she hurts their 'feelings' or not. Although there is a hateful mask, its merely to cover the frightened little girl that never got to grow up
Bio: She Remembers Nothing of her Past. Although sometimes she recalls an older male. He Looks like her in many ways. Her Memory was wiped clean (as said before) So she doesnt remember that shes Caine's Little Sister.
Other: Despite her Age, shes Very Unexperienced. She has chosen not to embrace the fact that shes stronger than humans and therefore is her own worst enemy.
((Very nice.))
Caine gently set the Mexican girl's lifeless body down against the wall of Second Skin. A slow trickle of blood dripped from between her lips. She was still very beautiful, looking like a broken-down marionette doll.
He felt much better having drank his fill. He crouched down and fixed the girl's hair and wiped the blood away. Then, he rose up again and started down towards Bourbon.
((Short! FAIL!))
Stepping outside, she locked the door and opened a new pack of cigarettes. Lighting up as she walked towards the club scene, she ran into a few good donors. She wasn't hungry. She just wanted to dance. Walking into a club that she found very amusing, The Graveyard, she soon started dancing and blending with humans. Dancing like there's no tomorrow.
