So helpful~
I think everyone needs to take a glance at this. At least once.

Love the billboard and this thread ❤ Great job! :D
This is actually really helpful. Thanks for the thread!

ON THE CURRENT HUNT FOR --
Thank you so much for this. I used to think basic economics was common sense/knowledge, but after seeing the amount of complaints about the economy on here, I guess it isn't.
🐧🐧
JUST FYI
this achievement is an example of a sp sink :) when you buy the item from the Millionaire Center, the 2m is deleted from the economy! if everybody does this, then a lot of sp will end up being deleted. :)
I don't know if this has to do with inflation, but what's up with the csc prices? They went from being 3mil/100 to 2mil/100 and I don't understand why. xD
either less appeal to csc
or more csc being bought from the cash shop with real money
my guess : the CWs are losing their novelty, prices are naturally going back down

CAN I REPLY TO MY OWN BOARD YET? [edit] OMG FINALLY sorry for the late response; subeta wouldn't let me post -.- the prices of every item on Subeta is driven by two factors, sp inflation and demand/supply. generally it's demand/supply that's the biggest factor. CSC is another currency but it trades like an item as well.
now it's March, and people have been donating more so there's more CSC. interest in CW has also dropped a bit. lower demand + higher supply = lower prices :D
This is such a helpful thread! Thanks for your clear, concise explanation. I'll definitely be directing users here.
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks so much for the reply! :)
I thought the drop in CSC price was also related to the quests and autopricer not resetting. Since we weren't making as much money, we didn't have as much to spend on CSC, so demand dropped.
So how exactly do we beat this Inflation? (is it currently a deflation depression, or inflation depression?)

Yep, quests not resetting means not much sp is created that day! That has led to a slight deflation of sp. Both the current value of sp and demand/supply of CSC has led to the somewhat lower price of CSC. But I think the demand/supply factor has a much bigger impact on CSC prices than sp inflation/deflation.
We can't really "beat" inflation xD In real life, it's usually addressed by the government making new policies/changing interest rates/etc. On Subeta, it depends on what the site does. For example, right now there is a very good sp sink in the form of Skitter's Den. Buying from Skitter's = money exiting the global economy.
So, sp has deflated a bit from when I first made this board, with sp sinks around and being used, plus quests not resetting! That also contributes to the somewhat lower price of csc. :)
-nods- I think the better word would be to "stabilize" the economy so that we're not too far in either direction. xD
But it's good that sPs is finally regaining some value. Maybe retiring huge amounts of old items in each shop (Food, Candy, obviously Magic, Plushies, etc.), perhaps that could make a difference? Though that's an entirely separate issue. xD;;

retiring old items in shops may do other things to the economy buuut I can't see that it will have an impact on the value of sp specifically.
but aye, deflation is no good either. the middle road is always the best ;)
Yuppers! I have to thank my Hitler/Nazi Germany history professor for explaining the economy and such over there in Europe back in the days. Now things make sense in today's world. xD
