We look for this that are old and restorable and hopefully not horribly expensive. I love older items and older books, hubby looks for older stereos and speakers most of the time, he loves to fiddle around with old phonographs and record players.

Oh that is so cool! I’m not much of a tinker. But my mom and I have been crocheting and doing small crafts for Christmas this year in stead of buying the fancy decorations, we made all of our stockings and the dogs as well and we have made little ornaments like candy canes and wreaths and I made strings of lights too. We are planning on making more but we have to find patterns for them.

Oh Kimmie my daughter does crochetting really really well, she is beyond me and can do stuffies and hair scrunchies and blankets and all sorts of different things. I find all kinds of patterns on TikTok, Youtube, and Pintrest. U gotta watch though cause some u gotta pay for the pattern. But I dont pay for them cause if I search around i'll find it or something similair for free lol BUt YES id love to share patterns with u for ur daughter. Please send over any that she has for Kimmie and I to try too :-) I just got back into crocheting a few months ago. I learned back as a young teen, my mom taught me. But I couldnt do it back then, I held the yarn to tight and my stitches were way to tight. But now im doing much better. Ive made 5 Christmas stockings, and a few ornaments, a small blanket, and the chain garland for the lights Kimmie crocheted (looks like little christmas lights) and we r gonna hang it in our archway... IF we ever get the lights attatched to the garland LoL

- Sometimes a holiday celebration just doesn't fit in a storyline. It's ok to leave it out inthat case. Even if you wouldn't get it out in time for Christmas, it would be sweet to see those two, and the rest of the cast, in a holiday themed story. Just a thought for next year. :D

- It sounds really lovely. It sounds like you guys really go all-out for Christmas. I wish we could have a 66+ foot tree in our apt but it's no room for it. The red runner sounds pretty. You may be able to wash it in the ink with some woolite. Just let it drip dry and then use a cool iron onthe back where the decorations aren't present.

- Someone you can ask about crochet patterns is our very own . She's always crocheting something cute for her family. :D

Oh, pink fluff on your tree would indeed be dastardly! Eww... lol I'll try the Woolite if I have to. Hopefully won't get dirty. We don't go as all out as MANY others do. We did get the lights for outside today, so maybe they can put them up this weekend. He bought LEDs and is planning them to hang on the inside of the trim so they don't show, but we can see the glow. They will be protected from the weather and he can leave them up year round that way. They have a remote so he can change the color too. That will be neat for Halloween.

I use drabbles as a way to tell stories about Jash without involving the tone and canon of the trilogy. The trilogy was actually formed from doing random drabbles. Sometimes they will involve a Jash who is married to Scouts and they have two kids like my first playthrough of Skyrim.

Here is one of the sillier drabbles. It involves a friend's Game of Thrones OC's. I got approval before starting to outline it. While not canon to my trilogy, it takes place between That Part and Hunter.

So if I'm so inspired I might write a Christmas themed drabble. But if I do one it'll probably be out around Valentine's Day. Blog schedule is currently full.

You crochet!!!!!!?????????? Do you have any patterns that you can send me? I am looking for new things to crochet but I have a hard time finding patterns I like or understand. I am not a newbie but I am also not very advanced in crocheting yet. I have made baby blankets, scarfs, stockings that do not look right lol, and a few ornaments. I want to try making the amigurumi but there are a lot of small pieces to make and put together.

I do a ton of crochet. Mostly I buy the patterns off Etsy but there are some good free ones too. There’s a double thick crochet pattern by Sarah Maker I use every Christmas and if you want to try Amigurumi without a bunch of little pieces to add on you can look for no sew patterns.

When I was little my adoptive mother used to go all out decorating. Which I never understood because she was always yelling at us to not touch stuff. You'd think she'd understand how magical stuff looks this time of year and understand the want/need to touch but she never did. XD I didn't know they had light like that. Is it a LED rope of lights? Or does it look like regular holiday lights? I think it's so cool you can change the color of the lights with a remote. :D

They are a narrow green roll like maybe a 1/2" wide that looks like tape. Each one is 50 lights long, and they plug end to end. They are fastened with little plastic things that go over the tape and screw in the wood. They are really small but bright. can't wait to see them up! And they have moving patterns as well as different colors. I like the slower 'chasing' one that's multicolor.

You're right that Valentine's Day is more suited towards a romantic couple. But then there's all the chaos that could happen around Christmas as it's such a hectic time of year. Especially for someone experiencing it for the first time. Jash has heard about Christmas but seeing and experiencing something is totally different from knowing about it.

Guess for Valentine's Day seeing Jash and Alex out on a date could have some possibilities.

- Those sound like no lights I've ever seen. they sound like they would be a lot of fun. Then again, I'd be programming different light patterns to see which annoyed the neighbors the most. 😂

- 😆 You are right about having the experience vs just knowing about it. Now you're making me think you should write little drabbles about all the holidays. I swear, I'm not trying to give you more work. 😆

Don't worry about it. I'm getting plot bunnies for my Argonian character in Oblivion Remastered. Kaoc recently became a vampire by accident. He only noticed too late and I'm wondering about writing a drabble with his early struggles.

Argonians have either a name in Jel or a translated name into the Common Tongue. Such as Scouts-Many-Marshes is translated while Derkeethus is in Jel. This can be an indication of how traditional an Argonian is. Kaoc is a name in Jel (it means shit). And there are no words in Jel for anything in the realm of Oblivion. Also becoming a vampire means your soul has been given to Molag Bal.

So I see Kaoc's disgust at being a vampire is because of a crisis of faith. James seems willing to lend me another of his OCs who is a vampire that can act as a foil to Kaoc.

Not sure whether or not I'll actually write it.
