I'm sure you do get colder! Brrrrrr! We finally got cooler today but compared to you no where near cold. We have the Pacific Ocean fairly near and it helps keep us a little warmer here than further inland. Yes, she picks her own gifts out. She used to tell me to just surprise her but she now knows what she likes. lol

I was a terrible kid! I got up super early one Christmas morning and peaked at my gifts. My mom had wrapped everything in foil finish wrapping paper and the tape peeled back easily and I was able to wrap things back up and I never got caught. 🫢

Lol, I knew where they hid the gifts so I would look before they wrapped them. Amazed they didn't know I knew before because I suck at faking surprised 🙃

I totally relate to all of that! Sometimes I peeked as well and I'm surprised I pulled it off too since I've never been a good at faking anything!🤣

It was fun though.. I still loved Christmas and they say it would ruin everything 😆

Pretty sure my mom said the same thing. But it never did ruin it. Lol

Just because I know what it is doesn't make getting a gift any less exciting 😆

I completely agree! And usually made me more excited. Are your kids totally excited? Liz said she was and I asked her if it's her gifts and she said no. I thought for a moment and then asked her if it was our dinner and she said yes. I'm baking salmon, one of her favorite foods. 😁

Oh they sure are, i think some of its for the dinner too as I will be making ribs.. thats a huge favourite here.

- Finished "It" and, strangely, the ending isn't at all what I remember. When I was a teen and reading it the existential stuff irritated me. Now, I understand why he put it in. I'm still digesting the ending. I haven't gone back to the other book yet. A Bernard Cornwell book I had on pre-order showed up and I dived right in considering it wasn't fantasy or science fiction. I need a respite from those genres right now. :D

- ready for Christmas? We finally have our tree up but no gifts wrapped. Amusingly, the gifts we sent out to the older kids are all wrapped and were posted a week and a half ago. Just can't seem to get myself moving on wrapping our youngests gifts. Maybe tomorrow. 😂

I liked it lots! I also really liked the thing at the end of the audiobook I had where the reader interviewed the author. That was neat.
