Because I highly doubt that 3k-6k views in an hour or two from a non-English speaking country (Hong Kong in this case) were anything but bots. I don't tend to ever get a spike of 1k views at any one time so 3k-6k is waaaaay above normal.

Views from people are good. Views from bots are bad.

I messed with some stuff on my blog and the views seems to have gone down. Though a majority of views are still from Hong Kong.

As for who J'zargo reminds you of: I use a heavy dose of Marco from Animorphs to write him.

- Well, we've had 10 years to get here. I think if we were going to implode as a family we would have done so by now. - Personally, I was hoping it would start on the 17 and go to the 31. That would have given it a full 2 weeks. Just enough time for the novelty of it all to wear off and us to start talking about what comes next. It seems like they're trying to stretch Moro to fit in Guy Fawkes day (Nov 5) for some reason. I'm just hoping the theme of this year's Moro is a fun one and not like the galactic items we got a few years ago. :D

Go to settings and only allow custom readers to take the blog down temporarily.

If you go down to the Crawlers and indexing you can use robots.txt to help cut back on bots. You'll need to look that stuff up on your own as I barely understand it xD

If you have a custom domain you can install Cloudflare to have more options to protect your blog.

And of course if you go to stats you can see various stats of your blog to better track things.

Over the years you get used to how many views your blogs get and when. So when something is out of the ordinary things really stand out.

well the news post on the 18th said will start this week, but that was saturday. It's tuesday now well almost wednesday for me. They are taking there sweet time.

Just got home from my evening shift. Yesterday and today way short on staff and i am so tired, sore feet and fed up with it. The person who makes the sheldue is not telling us we are understaffed and we find it out when the shifts starts. And all they say oops... we did not tell you. Will take it up with HR.. I am so fuming mad!

I'm debating spending money on a domain just so I can get better protection as my blog is my career.

all i get is excuses from the planner... we you are not helping! We have enough staff and when we don't have it they hire nurses from an agengy but if they fall out and they are not telling us... sheesh! And complaing about it seem not to work, if this goes on i will talk to my boss.

I think domains will run maybe $20. I did a VERY quick google search so the information might be wildly out of date. Gamepass increased its price and I use that service to pay for the majority of games I play.

And I believe Blogger will. I will look into it later maybe or get someone else to. Hate having to waste my time on anything that isn't writing or playing games xD

If per year, that's not much to spend on keeping your blog safe. I wish I could help but Blogger is a mystery to me. It's not very screen reader friendly. I manage to move my posts around and add one every once ina while but I don't bother with the rest because it just isn't easy for me to get to. :D

$20 per year. I use an online art program that I think costs around that much per year.

Blogger is nice but I don't like that it can't be viewed the same on mobile as it can on desktop. Which means things like tags aren't visible on mobile. My blog's sidebar (which contains a lot of info/links) can only be viewed on desktop. You can switch to desktop view on mobile but it looks bad O.O'

But the good to me outweighs the bad.

20 for a year isn't bad. Shoot, I spend 15 a month here so the 20 a year seems inexpensive to me. but wouldn't you need a host? or is that what Blogger will become? Habve you thought of wordpress? They're supposed to be more flexible with domains and hosting then blogger. I checked that out when I first started messing with my blog, a couple years ago, and I would have switched, if I could see. I didn't though, obviously, 😂 gbecause their free options weren't screen reader friendly. Which perplexed me because their paid options were screen reader friendly. o.o I just left everything at blogger. :D

I'm not sure with the technical stuff so I'd still have to look up. I know the domain will be attached to the blogger so if that is what a host is...?

I don't want to move as I've been using blogger for nearly my entire blogging career. Which would mean there's nearly 20 years worth of content on it.
