Last post I'm making on this topic, and with it I'm just gonna put it out there that I, personally, don't care about immersion on Subeta. I don't particularly care about reading whatever the flavor text is for each quest giver. There's really only two NPCs that I care about at all on this site and that's Jaxon and Ian. Especially Jaxon. And aside from during Moro I highly doubt that he'd be offering any quests so again, wouldn't care about whatever my reputation would make the flavor text change into. My only concern here, in regards to the reputation part of this, is how much extra time it would end up taking me to be able to reach the top tier of an NPCs reputation so that I would then be able to buy whatever I would find interesting in that NPCs shop. Depending, of course, on how expensive all of those items would be. Especially if they are going to be bought with sP and not another currency.
Other than that my biggest concern is whether we are going to be able to earn about the same amount (per day) as we are today (if we do all the normal quests). Which, in a way, also includes items that we get from the quests as rewards that we can then turn around and sell to someone else if we don't want them ourselves. Because if my sP income is drastically decreased I don't know if I'll be visiting the site every day anymore since quests are the only reason I come to the site every single day... (and before anyone jumps me and claims that this is me putting up an ultimatum, it isn't. I am simply stating a personal fact)
i’m absolutely going to work on the scrolling! the goal is to balance using the full size for images with making it easy and smooth to navigate. i’ll keep tweaking until it feels just right. 😊
what i’ve been trying to explain above is that it’s so easy for us to add new quests now, including “event” or specialty quests that you can only do once per day. for example, check this out: hustler sbq quest.
this is a quick quest i built around the hustler npc, where you can buy up low-priced sbq items to resell later. it’s limited to one per day, but with ✨ big ✨ sP payouts (though there’s always a chance you might get hustled…).
i know you’ve said you don’t care much about the lore or the npcs themselves—and that’s totally fine! but there are lots of users who do, and building out those systems is what allows us to throw in quests like this. your ability to earn more sP or items directly benefits from that foundation. 🫂
i appreciate your feedback, and i’ll keep working on ways to make this feel balanced and rewarding for everyone, whether you’re here for the immersion or just the rewards. 💖

Your Rewards: 2,027,239 sP total You've gained 1 reputation point
That risk paid off
I am also someone who doesn’t care about lore or immersion, but I understand I am probably in the minority and I don’t want/expect my opinion on this to influence anything.
Overall, I am excited about the new quests. I have enjoyed them so far. I’ll be interested to see where they go
Tried the hustler quest and got asked for which is unbuyable, so I guess I got hustled lmao
Also for the topic of hoarding currencies, I'm super bad about that, but I just like when number go up. I haven't really got any other logic behind it
Doing more quests worked without deleting my items.
btw., this is how Kumos looks for me now - since I came back again for the quests yesterday, first time after MM had ended.

So, this is of course not very helpful in doing speedy quests, or actually navigating the site at all, rofl
Apart from tons of Crypt Dust and Fly Wings the items I can tell I'm missing a lot of from Maybel's quests are Caffeinated Wabbit IgnorANT Twiflight Wowl and most probably only some of Marsh Qrykee Plushie
But the quest to regain the items isn't there yet...
I got asked for an unbuyable subq, too. ;-; oh well. Lol
Have the other quests been reduced to 3 now? Oh. T.T
Then I think you'll like trading out for reputation, where the number will always go up with your quest giver, and you'll see prizes incoming 😉

do you have any browser add-ons? It kind of looks like something that should be running to make it nice isn't running.
Hey ,
Thanks for keeping us updated on your work with quests and NPCs on the Kumos site. I've raised this issue before, but it's happening again: given that it's a new day on Subeta, and I thought I'd give the Wizard quest another go on Kumos -- only to see it saying "You've reached your daily limit for this quest. Try again tomorrow!"
Do we have to wait exactly 24 hours in between? Or just wait for the next Subeta day?
My son said, it looks as if it was running the mobile version (Website opens in mobile view, while it shouldn't), so after hours of searching I found a link to the user agent handler, but deactivating it and loading kumos anew doesn't change anything, sadly. Already the log in page comes in that everything on left state...It's double and triple annoying, because it used to work correctly :-( It also does show correctly on mobile, but I cannot do anything on my mobile efficiently, except send my pets into training or click ToT links during Moro and other easy stuff.
Im wondering this as well, its been more than 24 hours since i did wiz yesterday and they still havent reset for me too
Yesterday Keith said, he has to do it manually, because it's not on the Cron.
I have rep points equaling the quest count for all 4 NPCs.
I tried kumos on Firefox. Looks o.k., just can't get a theme to load, headbar is empty and doesn't change, when I click on another theme, yet not THAT important.
I also wouldn't know, how to navigate the site or is this simply not implemented yet - I pasted the questurl to get there.
The moving "Next Level" bar is distracting and giving me a headache - like I've read here before: Could it possibly just be a static display?
I’ve been on subeta for almost 20 years now. I know that change sounds scary. I’m someone who does most, if not all of my quests almost every day and that’s a majority of my time on the site. I’m interested to see these changes implemented and think they sound pretty cool so far. I will be sad about quest points retiring though as I’ve liked buying items with them and also selling them to other people who needed them lol. But if these changes are something that will help the site grow and keep more people, I’m all for it.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop, Keith.

my rumi rep is at 0 still, too.
Seeing the quest cap go down to 3 makes me even more worried all over again. ;-; like i said before, i want to at least have the option of having MORE to do with my time here. Not less. I don’t want to feel like i can log off after 2 minutes. I love this place, and i want to be able to spend more time here having fun. Not struggling to find something productive to do. This is my main concern. I know that quests aren’t everything! They’re a big part of the site though, which is what makes me so worried. ;_; i’m really starting to warm up to the new format. I’m beginning to like it. It’s starting to excite me to do the new quests, and i find myself looking forward to them. It’s just the limit and caps that concern me.
Yes. I like hoarding my Wiz tokens because I use them for the Token shop, to vend, to buy stuffa BHH (in te rare event it stocks when I check), and to gift to people who might need them/have scant WL's - everyone is usually happy to get Wiz tokens. It's kind of crazy to allocote only like 20 total quests per day period let alone make you pick and choose who to go to and do quests for. What if I want to do ALL of them for everyone? You just get like one per NPC or something? And your Rep can keep you from buying stuff because its not high enough? Don't we have other things that work that way? Baking, Blue Building, Alchemy? I'm sure there's one or two I'm missing. Wild.

I haven't been keeping up on this, but what's the link again for the new quests? I can't find it on the Kumos site.
NVM found it.
Uhh....well...hmm. Okay, let me ask, is the quest shop gonna be one big shop to spend reputation points on, or is it going to be the same as the current quest point system with multiple individual shops? Cause that would be quite scary, imagine having to grind reputation with 15 NPCs for 15 separate item shops. If it's to where it's 15 NPCs offering quests, but only a single shop that has all their items pooled, that would be fine then. Cause I just...I could never do Sarah's quests. I have too much money and no I'm not keen on putting 2bil in some forum group bank. I'd be locked out of her item pool entirely if the only way I can get her specific shop items is building rep with her.
