That's beyond annoying! I totally feel bad for you! Our cable and internet were out all day yesterday. From vandals cutting the lines.🤬 Power outage is worse though.

- :O Wow, that's a lot of power outages and it's not even the height of summer yet. Is it really hot there right now? Too many air conditioners on at the same time? We haven't had one yet, not even from the thunder storms. Then again, we rarely get power outages, even in the dead of summer heat. :/

no, it hasn't been especially hot weather at all, it's been quite cool for the time of year here. They keep saying it's "equipment failure" so who knows. I did hear an explosion sound the second time and my son and partner heard one the first time (I didn't). The third time, there was a storm...

we don't even have cable anymore, but line cut internet outages happen periodically (usually from someone digging another line across it or digging for gardening reasons). Sympathies to you, those are always super annoying here. (but not as bad as power outages! )

Our line cuts are usually vandalism. They can sell the copper all too easily here. 🫥 How do you have internet without cable? Is it the new thing they call Fiber? We're supposed to get Ezee Fiber here soon and I can't wait!

So...I'm alive. I am still dealing with the pain of the ankle/foot/back, but now it's with the right knee and whole right leg, too. I had a nerve decompression surgery on my right knee in September of last year...but instead of helping, just made it worse. :/ So...yeah. The surgeon handed me off to yet another doctor who...was not very helpful at first meeting, but maybe will point me to some other specialist? I don't...really know. It's all very frustrating.

I hope you guys are doing okay. Just thought I'd pop my head in to say hi! (I might not respond right way...anxiety and all). <3

That pain can't be easy! And that's terrible you went through surgery to only make the pain worse. 😪 And your HA is beautiful!!

- Aging infrastructure is a problem everywhere. I know it is a huge problem up in Northern Virginia because they have brown-outs all the time. I think that we don't because we're in the country, in a rather small town that keeps up on stuff like that. I hope you don't have anymore issues. :D

Sunday was like any other Sunday. But Saturday was a great day as we had lunch with a friend and hubs gave me card and flowers came early. I hope your Mother's day was a great one!💗

yeah, it's been fiber for a while, before that it was DSL (phone line). I think fiber for the last 10 years-ish.

I'm not sure it's aging so much as it was damaged and they didn't realize that had made it fragile so it would be fixed and then break again idk..something like that...

- I'm glad you had a wonderful day. I had a relaxing day. I got to talk to all of my kids and got dinner from Carrabas Italian grill. It was really good. :D

- Are the lines where you live buried? All our cable/fiber optic cables are buried here. About half the telephone lines and electric lines are still above ground here. I wish they would just bury them so we wouldn't have to worry about ice pulling them down in the winter. XD

it's just like what you said, half the electric and phone is on poles, half is buried (within half a mile or so of me it's all buried, but a bit further and there's a lot above ground) and all the fiber and cable is underground unless it's just been connected - they connect it first and then come back to bury it a week or two later. But the buried ones are often cut (sometimes an existing buried line is cut by the people burying a new one) and go out just as often as pole ones - weather affects them via groundwater too...

I cannot wait until we get fiber here. We're up on a big hill and slightly isolated so we tend to get services after all of the surroundings areas are done.

3 years of pain is rough! I'm going through some random foot pain with almost a month of it and it's driving me crazy! My doctor wants me to get it x-rayed so that might tell us something.
