All the other daycares I know of are on the far side of town sigh but yeah. I think Monday I will go and ask one of them. I called Friday afternoon, during nap, and got a person, and asked, if she had filled it out, and I could come get it that afternoon? They put me on hold, went and looked and saw it sitting on her desk, not filled out. So, they told me that. I asked if they could ask her to please fill it out and text me by 3pm that day to say I could pick it up - and she didn't.

Wow, that sounds like a fun filled VERY LONG day. And a bit crazy? Detention for getting wet? I mean, what if it wasn't their fault? They got caught out somehow? Sheesh. At least allow for circumstances. I can understand if the kids did it on PURPOSE and got soaked.

Field day was ... fun ... we did end up skipping most of the 3rd section, I think we did 2 activities, 1 game and the playground/group picture. Jason ended up taking his shirt off, he didn't like being wet (outside) LOL One of the twins tried to strip naked in the classroom to change clothes after we got back in the room ROFL so not surprised by that. Four kids went home early, one was already absent, and two went home right before/during naptime (Jason was one of them! The kid I take outside for 2nd recess lol) So that was nice!! I went and got my ice cream from coffeeagogo while we were in the third section....so I had ice cream for lunch hahahah because after eating that, I really didn't want to eat anything else. I did eat my mandarin orange cup tho. So my lunch was ice cream, mandarin orange cup and italian ice LOL YOUR kind of lunch eh Mieke?? I know you go get ice cream for lunch!!! :P

Oh gawd the teens not picking up after themselves. I flat out WARNED Nathan that when he went to Ashers, that if his room was a mess I WOULD CLEAN IT UP I am so tired of the soda cans and food wrappers everywhere (ok his room and bathroom, and occasionally a can in the kitchen or living room). He brings plates/bowls back out to the kitchen covered in his hair and cat hair too. GROSS I am about to flip on him for that too. If its like that I will make HIM clean it. YUCK. I've also gotten on to him about doing more around the house ON HIS OWN. I should NOT have to tell him every day to do something (*yet, I still do!! sigh)

Well, no, it was a BAD storm, with lightning very close. And the remind went out far enough in advance that they had time to get to shelter.

It wasn't if they were just damp or sprinkled, but if they were caught out in the storm, then yes, detention. And it worked, because no one was. :P

And yes, ugh teenagers! There's no food allowed anywhere else, so at least there's not crusty dishes places!

But UGH the car. Working on cleaning the mildew off the seats, which is REALLY ROUGH because they're fabric. :/ I got tide fabric spray stuff which is supposed to kill mildew, and a carpet cleaner that doesn't need to be rinsed.. and then a smell eater spray thing like for pet smells and such?

Eww. Yeah. Nathan had to do that with the Mazda when he fixed it the summer after the tornados. Even tho I had put plastic up on the broken windows it still got nasty I could still smell it slightly for a while after we began driving it again....

ughhhhhh. What helped?!

So far I had them squeeze all the water out with towels (which then got immediately washed with vinegar!), put baking soda all over it for a few hours and then vacuumed it up, and that already helped a TON. Then yesterday I had them squeeze again, just in case, and then do the tide.

Today it's the carpet cleaner stuff. It's got one of the good like.. scrubby top things on it? So hopefully it'll help!

I'll ask him. I don't remember. I know he had some kind of mold/mildew spray.... And we aired it out a lot too lol

[edit] He says he used bleach spray or cleaner spray (highly diluted because he did NOT bleach the car, so maybe not actually bleach spray!!) and then used a scrub brush to scrub off the surface. For the smell he says Uncle E gave him ozium spray and they let it sit over night and then if it still smelled they sprayed it again. Its apparently an odor remover? Never heard of it myself.

I was reading the news comments and saw that Masquerade won't be until June - I think I read something about after June 9 even. Sheesh.

I am in SHOCK also. The USPS CALLED me :o Like, because of all the stupid mail messups. So like, I ordered my phone case right? Over a week ago. I was TOLD (a lie) that it would be shipped 2 day FedEx. So yeah, I ordered it to ship to my house. IT had been over a week, so I tried to track it, and for some reason the website (verizon) wouldn't let me track it. So I went into the store and asked them to help me track it. They tried, same result. They called customer service, who looked into it, and then I was told "its already been shipped, call this number to track it" ????? SERIOUSLY? Guess who the number was. THE USPS!! ARGH So I went to the experiment location, tiny spot, closer to home/verizon than the main griffin one. They were actually able to track the package (duh! since it was a usps tracking number NOT FED EX OR VERIZON!!) and told me "It was scanned Friday and forwarded" EXCUSE ME WHAT? MY MAIL IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE BEING FORWARDED ANYMORE So I talked to THEM about the mail situation and they told me go to griffin and talk to a supervisor. Hey guess who that is? The same guy I talked to last time eyeroll Anyway long story short - he put a NOTE on my mail carriers route to DELIVER my mail (anything in my name, Ryans or Nathans) and NOT FORWARD IT. Because my name is still apparently NOT LISTED ON MY ADDRESS - MY address HAS NO NAME ATTACHED TO IT ARRRRRGGGHHHHH AND then called me today to let me know TWO packages in Annas name as well as some mail came in for me, would I Like to come get the packages or have them forwarded? Well since the dumbasses (bad me, bad mouthing my child and his wife but honestly!!) are coming to my house tomorrow to get all their OTHER crap, I told the guy I'd pick it all up tomorrow, don't bother to forward it and make it take longer for them to get whatever it is. Anyway I said I was in shock because do you know how many times I've been told "The USPS will NEVER call you, NEVER text you, NEVER email you?" And this guy called me!!

It is crazy they called you! But a good thing.. maybe hopefully now it'll actually be fixed?

But also.. damned kids! I'd say they definitely deserve to be called dumbasses!

Super dumb kids. Shane is already switching companies again. So I know I told y'all he went owner operator (again) and failed at it...again. And decided to be company driver. Didn't even make it two weeks as a company driver before he's decided to go back to Werner. I am surprised they're willing to take him back. But mega carrier so I know they always need drivers. And I think Werner is the only place he actually lasted a year at. (It was there or swift). So now in two weeks he has orientation for them. Sigh Kid just does NOT get that you need to stay at a company to make money. And all this down time for orientation makes for no paychecks too

[edit] 330 PM LAST DAY OF SCHOOL (for kids). It was so fun. We had 14 show up. One came in late, right after, one left hahaha! By 1pm we were down to 10 kids. (out of 20 total) We had the 5th grade parade (yes including candy!), birthday cupcakes for the birthday girl at lunch (as well as a piece of our candy), no nap (watched video instead and ate candy), EXTRA cupcakes for snack (and more candy) due to another mom wanting to make the last day special, and we also browsed our pictures taken throughout the year. This 5th grade parade hit me hard. All my original PreK babies are moving on to middle school. You KNOW you've been around a while when that happens. The past two years my kinder babies went and I felt sad/happy about that but these are my PreK babies. I've seen them their WHOLE school time so far!! CRAZY! Everyone was dismissed early (busses AND vans at 215, when normally that is 223 and 226) and then by the time the busses did their loop-de-loop to say good bye all the cars in the car rider line were gone except one set (of 12 cars) ... all the car riders remaining were dismissed to wait on their cars to pull up and we went inside....and then all the teachers left early too once the kids were gone LOL So I got out of there 15minutes early.

Guys, I am doing Kumos quests this morning, and I decided to actually LOOK at my sticker - I search my account for the items since sometimes I have them in my shop and kumos won't show that - and when I do Drills I always buy a blue rose sticker to stick myself with - (when I can, sometimes there aren't any to buy) Guys I have "72 found in your sticker collection" of the blue rose stickers ROFLMAO

Got invited to a friends house last night for a fire, actually went and didn't chicken out (I know I know I know, I really pushed you to go see people haha). And.. it was fine! It was a perfectly fine night, and I'm glad Alex and I went.

Tomorrow we're finally having our work Christmas party :P

How do you freaking correct your address with the IRS???? THIS IS SO FREAKING ANNOYING Shane called me yesterday, I got mail in Thomaston. NOT FORWARDED MAIL BUT DELIVERED WITH THAT ADDRESS LISTED IN MY NAME From the IRS!!! It was just a statement, showing my amended return and that I'd paid the taxes I owed, so my balance was $0. Fine, great, but WHY DOES THE IRS HAVE ME LIVING IN THOMASTON?? I DID NOT MOVE AND I DID NOT REQUEST AN ADDRESS CHANGE GRRRRRR

Oh yes and when I picked up my mail Thursday, I found out the supervisor dude put a HOLD on my mail. I did not ask for a hold, I asked for (and he SAID he would put a note for my carrier to have) my mail to be DELIVERED TO MY ADDRESS, IN MY MAILBOX!!! GRRR But maybe this will give it time for the stupid computer or whatever system to catch up and put me back at my address? I don't know, But now I don't know when I have mail sitting at the post office either so I will have to go check once or twice a week I guess for a while AND I STILL DON'T HAVE MY PHONE CASE!!! ARGH! This whole thing reminded me that last months mortgage statement was mailed directly to the Thomaston address, so I just logged in and checked my mailing address there - guess what? Its returned to MY address. I never changed it with them either - to the Thomaston address, and it only changed for that ONE month (May) but now its back to MY address so I guess thats good and I don't have to change it back. STUPID STUPID STUPID situation ARGH

The IRS kind of does things their own way.. I think you have to call them to have it updated back.

I updated ours to our new address (at the church), they changed it back to the PO Box, then I updated it AGAIN, and then they changed the mailing address but had the wrong town and zip code, so I had to call eventually.. It's probably easiest to just call from the beginning, maybe?

The thing is, I don't know if I even NEED to?? Like I'm done with taxes until next year and I'll put THIS address on my filing papers and who knows if it will correct itself like the mortgage company did or not anyway????

I mean.. maybe? Maybe when the post office changes it back it'll just.. change too?

What's everyone doing with their day off?

we went to a parade this morning and a service, then we skipped the other two services and came home and changed the brakes and a rotor (I had to go get the rotor :/) and the struts on Alexs truck, and he changed the oil on the van..

And the friends whose house we went to Friday night, they came over and we had creme brulee, since it wasn't ready for Friday! And now Lily has a bunch of friends over so all the kids are downstairs having a good time.

I did NOTHING pretty much all day. Well, all weekend honestly. Read and played on my phone a lot. I did some house cleaning (vacuumed the living room, did the dishes, swept and mopped the kitchen AND my bathroom, scrubbed my toilet). I also played games with my neighbor friend yesterday and Saturday.

Today it is back to work - to work on cleaning out the classroom (that's all this week). And this afternoon I have staff orientation for the summer program. (that program starts Monday!)

[edit] ARGH Post Office people are SO STUPID AND ANNOYING So I went in today to ask "hey can you see if you have any mail on hold for me?" And get told "we don't hold mail" EXCUSE ME? ARE YOU JOKING? I stared at him, and he was like, Um why would your mail be being held? BECAUSE YOUR SUPERVISOR PUT A HOLD ON MY MAIL!!! (I said it nicely, and added, due to mail forwarding issues) He looked up my address, and went and looked for my mail sigh WHY WOULD HE SAY THEY DONT HOLD MAIL? THEY OBVIOUSLY DO!!! He had a whole freaking PACKET OF SHEETS of mail being held that he looked at to find out where my mail is being held!!!

And then it started POURING so my meeting got cancelled and since I was already INSIDE I had to go out into the rain to go home sigh Its rescheduled for tomorrow, which, joy, Nathan has to be at work at 4 so now I had to make alternate arrangements to get to the meeting

OK seriously, they have GOT to get that mail thing sorted out, what an incredible hassle! :(

In better news, I met the teacher I will be working with this summer. And its the lady I worked the most with last summer when I was subbing. So thats nice. The school I'll be at is a 8minute drive, so thats good. And I was told I'd get paid for tonight, and for tomorrow night and they're HOPING to arrange it to pay us for tomorrow and Friday (or maybe she just meant the teachers) as "preplanning" time lol I'm like, whatever. I just need to find out what I am actually BEING paid. I was going to ask tonight, but the lady who drove me there needed to leave asap since she wanted to go to the walk-in clinic for her toothache I'm going to try and ask tomorrow, or maybe I'll shoot an email.

OMG. So now Katie has your phone case, huh? Probably faster and easier to drive up there and get it now but like.. what a pain in your neck!

UGH speaking of getting paid. Alex's truck isn't inspectable now, the frame is compromised with rust. I legit don't know how we're going to pay for groceries this summer when I'm off, but I also don't know how tf to find a job for 10 weeks.. especially when I'll need at least 3 off. Like.. ugh. I'm just.

She is mailing it back. By taking it to the post office and telling them to return it to my address, that the address is correct and shouldn't have been forwarded to her. And it's a four hour drive down there...so no. Not just for a phone case. Maybe if it was like an hour drive lol

Ugh yeah I hear that. That's why I'm glad of this opportunity for the PreK summer program. Is what I am already doing but a little different. I had thought multiple times about getting a part time summer job but like you said, who wants to hire for such a short time when it's not crazy holiday season?? I also hear the where the heck is the grocery money coming from. Because after buying a car...yeah. that's my worry too and even more reason to be glad I'm doing the summer program.

I did ask, and was told ,"25" so I assume that means $25 per hour. That will be super nice. I think I earn around $16-17 per hour right now. So that extra on top of my normal paycheck will be sweet.

I did the actual math looking at the calendar today, and I'll only be around for 5! weekends this summer, so.. kind of pointless to try and work at even the orchard for that.

Just. Ughhhh to everything :P

I need to go shopping. And really have no idea what I want to buy. I know what I NEED - which is very little. But what do I WANT? Like what do I want for breakfast? For snacks? For lunch at work this summer? I have no idea what I WANT. Urgh. Which means I'll buy a bunch of random things and only eat half of it or something. Even more URGH! Plus I still have SOME random stuff in the cabinets already. (Cheezits and Cheetos mostly hahah!) Plus grapes in the fridge that need to be eaten.

I have been debating making little charcuterie style boxes for some of my lunches - but fruit and nuts and cheese can be pricey and I bet meat for it would be too. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. I can buy a banquet meal for less than two bucks. (I eat them but don't LOVE them, but it is decent enough food and since I don't like a lot of things as leftovers, they work better for me than trying to save leftover pork chop or whatever) I just think they (the charcuterie boxes) are fun and easy to eat and gives a variety of items. (I get bored VERY fast now of PBJ sandwich - like literally, I eat it once and I don't want it again for WEEKS) I do plan to make some things I DO like as leftovers to take for lunches - like I have two portions of spanish rice saved from dinner last night. And I do like taco salad, so if I make tacos I have leftever meat and stuff for taco salad....

Yeah, we didn't plan dinners this week so I didn't know what to eat for m ost of the week, it was just a disaster.

Thankfully, I DO like a lot of leftovers at least, and that's really what i like to eat for breakfasts... but I don't like sandwiches, so there's that :P

Fruit and nuts can be pricey, but they're GOOD for you, probably much better than a freezer meal?
