I wish I could give you more info as to what happened on my end! I am, like, 99.9% sure I clicked "inventory only", multiple times, even. The Kumos site does not run very well for me to begin with (it's extremely laggy to the point where I just don't bother with it usually lol). I remember it didn't look like it removed all the vault books from the list, but it also didn't seem like the vault book option was highlighted, either. I think I assumed Kumos was just lagging for me again, BUT I am a very impulsive person and I clicked the "read to pet" button before truly checking to see if vault books were unchecked, so I'm happy to take some of the blame for this. u_u idk if that helps at all, but thought I'd share. THANK YOU AGAIN. omg. I was feeling so defeated about losing all those books. if you can, please please please remove them from my pet Byeol's mind lmao

Tried it out multiple times and found it to be a wonderful new feature! I love the options on the page, such a good idea to include the vault! The mechanics were smooth for me and omg was this so much easier than the endless clicking. Thank you again for making this happen. It's a game-changer (lol).

Putting training mechanics on your radar as a related update! I read to my pets for their jobs (except for my two "readers") so I've still got a lot of repeat clicking to do to deal with the other elements of this process. Specifics of the recommendations are in the very first post! ;)

More filters and a confirmation dialog seem like a really good idea! I was thinking about how certain items can't be turned into crystals at the Fragmentizer and how much that must prevent unfortunate incidents since misclicking is so easy, and I was going to suggest a confirmation if items of certain high rarities are involved. I feel like a number of us (by which I mean 'at least me and two of my friends that I have directly influenced') mass-read common books to a lot of pets to get their intelligence up to a certain point for jobs, but don't necessarily intend to read these pets the super rare books. I get so paranoid with things like this that if I feel like there's a chance I'll accidentally misclick, I'll go through and individually click every single item. So for me personally, some kind of a 'hey there is a high rarity thing here, are you sure?' confirmation would be more helpful for me than a 'this is a lot of books, are you sure?' confirmation.

And I just want to also thank you for resolving things for Soren and finding a way to get their books back!! ❤ I've just been like anxiously waiting and refreshing to see how things went, this is such a relief. Thank you so much!!

Just wanted to add that the way you approached the mass reading was even better than our recommendations! Like, wow. I'm so excited about this and can't wait to use it to knock out some massive goals! Thank you again!

So awful for you! That hurts! That is just awesome of you to help soren! <3 But that issue is why I was asking earlier if something could be implemented to choose the rarity. It took a long time to go through and uncheck books. But I am so glad I did or I would have lost all mine I was saving for pet treasures too. But I am so excited for this feature! I just can't contain my joy and thanks!

I had the right pet selected, I checked 50 books from my vault and tried to read. I got an error that said something went wrong. The books I believe are all gone, and Roman's intelligence has not changed, nor alchemy points. Quite disappointed.

where is the pet creator? I can't find it. Only the Legacy version

Oh and suggested sorting by user price, so that and/or the mouseover would be awesome to avoid the using super expensive books when you do not want to (poor soren)

This is freaking amazing! I've wanted this ever since I started to build my pet army, 70 pets and counting, that all need intelligence. This is the best part of this shitty year.

I think I'll wait a little bit to have confirmation it won't pull from vault by mistake. I have five small pets and four medium pets that still need tons of books. I have books in my vault I have saved for my big pets to only use after toming sprees to get multiple AP. It would be very bad to have my little pets read those books now.

I'm having surgery tomorrow so will wait to test this out after I'm clear headed again. This gives me something to look forward to as I heal. Thanks so much for doing this!!!

[Edit] Once the pull only from X to read is working properly, can our shops be added to the optional places to read from? I have multiple books from challenger loot and site events I'm selling in my shops and it be great not to have to manually remove those books. Works especially well if other people's suggestions regarding showing each book's price is implemented. That way we could pull the cheap and moderately prices books and not the super expensive ones for mass reading.

Have the numbers changed now? Sometimes it takes a bit. :)

It appears to be no longer working? I've attempted three times with two different pets (twice last night, once this morning) and the change does not seem to go through. The books are still in my inventory and there are no changes to intelligence or books read numbers.

i've tried the mass reading twice just now. both times i got an error (telling me to log in again) and only one book was taken (both times). i think they were read tho because my pet's intelligence increased, the "mass reading" just didn't work haha

This is the error message I've been getting:

I'll see one book having left my inventory, with one increase in the intelligence stat, but the book itself doesn't show up in their read pool.

Welp, seems to be working again! I did four trials - 2 books, 4 books, 10 books, 20 books - and it went through. They were of varied rarity (up to 95) and I used both selecting one by one and the select all button.

When it didn't work for me I don't believe it took any books.

Just tried reading some books from my inventory and I was able to do so!

I tried it yesterday shortly after seeing the post with Roman, pet id 76773 I'd selected the first 50 books of various types in alphabetical order that had a check box and when I clicked to read them, it went to an error page that just said something went wrong. When I went back to the page to try again, there were no changes to his intel, and it looks like some of the books may have been taken from my vault. Just figured I should post to double check that so I didn't lose any of them. Thanks.
