I have a stay-cation coming up in mid-March (no work for a week = actual time to work on my projects!) If the challenge is still going by then, I would definitely join.

Ugh, that sucks. I manually type my UN on my pet profiles too, so I haven't considered that changing mine would make my credits invalid lol... I nom'd your cutie bear, so he should be right back in queue!

Just gotta say, I LOVE all those greens for Dorough. The TC is coming along nicely too!

Contemplating on my goals for a little bit and going to pick one of these, in order of easiest to hardest:

1. Mock-up a profile for Sweet Symphony. Bonus would be actually coding it.
2. Build Kitty Bag's TC. I already wrote out a list of what I want, but sifting through Subetalodge is always a massive pain.
3. Finish writing Cardia's story OR draw the rest of Pootle's art. Don't know which of these two will be harder for me lol.

This is perfect timing, because I SHOULD have free time to tackle one of these this month.

I feel like every time I look at your pets always end up wishing there was, if not like a blurb, something like a little character info sheet for them because I'm always so curious to know more about them lol.

Lemma and Dastrix have really fun concepts, I hope you're able to develop them more! I seriously love how you actually make your pets, like, Subeta-universe. :') I can never pull off that kind of thing but I think it's so freaking awesome.

Thanks for moving forward with the mini-sprint! I'll try to participate but like I said on Discord, I'd rather help with prizes than get anything lol. Do you have anything more solid for the timeframe at all, I... feel like I need a little bit of structure or I'll just procrastinate forever lmao. I used to do little pet sprint things for like a month at a time in a previous group so my brain is like 'ok i have a month for this so that means i can procrastinate for 3.5 weeks' but I'm not sure if you had different ideas, esp since this is kind of a 'hey everyone's burnt out let's try this!' kind of thing.

Anyway uh. I'm not sure what to work on, esp with the awkward 'waiting for v2 pet profiles' phase I'm in right now. I guess I'll try to work on art-related things! I have some characters that need updated art and/or designs, so I'll see if I can get at least one done, aha.

It’s a delight to be able to host. I’ve been working so darn hard as an individaul to be able to keep my emotional ballast and find joy blah blah. so i lucked in to enough dregs of energy to share. So I darn well should share it! We all could use a little sunshine I think and I’m so- I’m really grateful that so many people are jumping into the mini challenge :D Fills my soul hope it is a reprieve for others too.

Art I think some structure is a good idea actually :D What about the start of April as the stop date? (anyone chime in on thoughts on that one but I like the short time but enough to do something) Also I love your art esp because your character designs are distinct from the other characters. They all have soul .u. Cheers for adding that as a goal

Completely agree with you! They need...some kind of backstory somewhere. (Especially Sevidical, his is not the most original origin story there ever was, but I kind of like it anyway?) That really should be what their petpages are for.

But then I don't know what to do with the story they're in =p Still thinking it over, though!

Eep throwing this out there before Subeta breaks again. If some of you can't see it, I'll upload it elsewhere.

I did a mock-up for Sweet Symphony's profile with a little crude drawing and also included the initial sketches I drew to show a bit of my process (and laugh a little at how they don't look alike). Don't think I'll get to coding it though, until Subeta irons itself out. 😅 Contemplating taking out all of my pets out of the spotlight queue (or the ones that need the most work), because all of their profiles are messed up and I don't want to wrestle with lag trying to fix them or have them broken again later lol.

I haven't checked in here for a while because of the site falling apart ^^; but beginning of April is a good stop date!

Since Vulc is a fan pet, I'm writing his story as a fanfic first. Then I'll put a revised version on his profile to cut down the word count and make edits so it will be understandable to someone unfamiliar with the fandom/character. I'm about 8500 words into the story so far, and I'm probably more than halfway through, so I think I can make the deadline!

I really want to work on the visual part of his profile too, but with the site layout so messed up right now, I don't want to create the profile then have to change a bunch of stuff later when the layout gets fixed. (Also profiles look pretty different on Kumos than on legacy, and I don't know which site to make it look right on!)

thank you! this week has been rough on art time. my brother got a puppy and he's super cute! but i have to watch him in the evenings and holy cow i didn't realize how much attention they need. i'm exhausted lol but he's worth it <3

Same I’ve been afraid to poke at subeta too much. Now I feel vaguely like I’m poking it with a stick going “you ok bro?" hoping this message will go through. And I’ve been …. not wanting to work pet profile coding too until things settle. I’m encouraged to see the work going forward on the sites though!

Congrats on the brother’s puppy! I can def see why all your energy went towards caring for and minimizing the damage. Puppies are adorable, very loving, and total tornadoes you invite into your home. Give the sweet little natural disaster a snuggle!!

Okay, finished my pet story for the challenge! However, I'm still concerned that it won't make sense to someone unfamiliar with the fandom, so if anyone has feedback to offer, I'd really appreciate it ❤

And it's long, I'm sorry ;_; I want to try to edit it more to cut it down, although I've already cut a lot from the full version. Also please ignore the profile layout and design because I haven't even started on that and just stole the code from another of my pets ^^;

I got sick over just about the whole vacation week but finally caught up on sleep and worked up a little motivation! I didn't completely finish Humor's profile, but progress was definitely made. :D

I finally found the BG image that feels right for him after...4 years of looking. That was a major win in itself.

Colors and fonts need work yet and a few weird spacing issues, but I worked out some of the finer details (font for his name, coding for his story). So I'm calling this a win, even though I'll want to revisit the profile later on, when I'm ready to finish him. (Still need several expensive TC items, too.)

April, May and June are like...the months I don't sleep between property stuff and work stuff...but later this summer, I'm hoping to tackle pet stories and additional pet profiles more seriously. =)

hey guys. i just logged in again after a few weeks and found that a lot of my pet pages are a little broken in different ways

has anyone else experienced anything like this recently? has there been changes to the site since i was gone?

edit: ooohhh so i noticed other people in this thread talking about the site being a little screw-y currently. i think i'll sit tight for now and see if the subeta team iron out the kinks before i try dive into my old code
