You should check your mail daily, too, at the Post Office (under Explore menu).

I highly advise you take a look at the "Guides" forum and the "Guide to Guides" - that will tell you about the things you can do.

Probably top priority is unlocking all the jobs. You can do this by building the building associated with each job. For example, you build a bonfire or oven to unlock cooking a luncheon for your village and the baker job. You build a garden to unlock the gardener, herbalist, and farmer jobs. There are scribe, artist, clothier, blacksmith, mason jobs too.

Also making the above easier is getting money (notes and essence fragments (ef for short) are the two currencies, similar to sP (notes) and CSC (ef) in subeta). Using the money you can buy the things you need to build the buildings and unlock stuff, or you can wait for your resource-collecting cats to find the stuff (takes longer, but cheaper).

The main way to get money (besides market trading) is Adventuring, which you will find under the Explore menu as well. You'll need to pick four of your cats with either high Strength and Agility (to be fighters) or high Finesse (to be archers) that also have decent Health (hit points) and Perception (for turn order). Then make them friends (I can send you items that you can use to make two pairs each Best Friends or Partners as you prefer) for bonuses on die rolls.

Then you will probably find it fairly easy to get the hang of the game, just try it out. The first time through adventuring is quite challenging, but after some practice it gets very easy and lucrative. You can get notes by going to Quick Sales (on the trading menu) and selling the collectables you don't still need for your collections, and any clothing or decor you don't want to use on your cats or in your scenery that isn't rare or valuable (check the Open Market for value, similar to user shops on Subeta).

There's also custom clothing on cat game, so if you want to look at that it's there to look at 😁 but totally optional and tough to get when really new, like in Subeta...

I see some one was talking of C-Sections, well I have had 3 the side to side cut, not up and down cut. I was completely put out, I don't do the half awake thing, I would pass out anyway, too much grossness for me to try to stay awake for. I had a great doctor back then and she was awesome and feeling for all patients.

I looked her up, what an interesting sort of writer. I expect might like her books? She does seem like she probably leaves loose ends in all her work, because it's trying to follow so many different stories at a time, at least that's the criticism I saw most often on Goodreads just now. Probably too political/realistic for me, though. 😁 Good for you giving her work a try, I hope you can find other authors with similar subject matter but that bring a more satisfying story conclusion.

I tend to get a lot of my books from the clearance section at my local used book store. I love a good deal and tend to find pretty decent books for $1-$3. I truly didn't realize when I bought it that it was going to have that political side to it, because I'm the same, I'm not really one for reading that type of genre. It wasn't as bad until the end and I was like oh this is the direction we're going.... ok then lol So maybe there is a reason it was in the clearance section 😂

- I noticed that she had a few more books when I looked her up on Audible. So, her book is one huge tome in your hands while Audible has split it up into 3 books averaging 20hrs each. Now, that's my kind of book! :D

- Yep, for at least 2 years. That's how long it had been between proceedures. I'm hoping more of the nerves got killed off this time so it will take longer to grow back. fingers crossed My dad had the same thing done for the same reasons and he said he only had to do it three times before the nerves stopped growing back. I hope that's the case for me. :D

I have read the Mazalan books, at least the first five? a while back. They did not give me tingles but they were pretty interesting if not exactly the sort of thing I truly enjoy the most. Along those lines I prefer both Kencyrath series (Hodgell) and Joe Abercrombie's work (especially First Law trilogy), which had some of the same notes but the characters were more to my taste I guess. Though neither has quite the exact complexity and shock value of Mazalan, I guess?

Yeah when I read the description of Kamila Shamsie's books I thought, this does not sound like my kind of book but it sounds like Diana's :D

- omg, I think I ❤ you. I haven't run into anyone who's actually read any of the Mazalan series. You really should finish it. It was a fun ride until the 66th book where he pulled it all together, and in a way that I was not expecting at all. I won't spoil it for you if you ever decide to continue the series. Oh, holy cow, You've read the First Law series, too. I think I'd want to marry you if I weren't already married. I love Logen Nine Fingers. My hubby's a bit jealous but he'll get over it. lmao I would have thought First Law too blood/violent for you although every piece of violence was necessary to move the story forward. I love the way Abercrombie developed the characters, esp.Sand DanGlokta. Did you read the sequels yet? The ones that concern DanGlokta's daughter? They're excellent also. I still haave the last one in that series to read. Oyh, Now I'm all giddy! 😂 (Have we had this conversation before? XD )
