Yes! :D
Definitely agree. hugs
Your weekend sounds pretty chill too! And yayy for chilly weather! :-) Target is always fun. Lately our Target has been the only store with green onions so I've been going there more than I normally do. Something to do with the crops is what I've been told.
Drills was extra stingy today. LOL
I know you can nap anytime but you never get a chance. I miss those days when I could nap...
Great HA!!! 👏
Genetics suck! :-( I'm glad you found that chicken. I can't stand to eat meat that has gristle and fat and that chicken rarely has either, that I notice. :-)
Eh, he knew Moro was coming. Didn't want us getting greedy or something.
LOL! Exactly! I love that you use the winky eye on your HA! I always think it's winking at me. :-D
It's one of my favorite eyes items, yeah! Super cute. Your HA is adorable, by the way. But then again, it always is :D
Oh that’s weird but also makes sense. I love Target, but I don’t go nearly as much anymore. I do kinda miss working there somedays. But I much prefer being home with the kiddos :3
And they're cheaper and bigger bunches then even the normal bargain store. Lately I've been putting the white parts and roots in water and regrowing them but it really doesn't yield a lot.
Oh I’ve heard of people doing that! But probably takes awhile to regrow, huh?
About 10 days. But I started doing it a few months ago so I i usually have 2-3 bunches going at a time. Gotta have green onions on my salads. Lol
Well I hope your stress goes away soon :) You deserve to be stress free. I hope all will be well for you
He kind of acts like he knows who I am. He definitely acts slightly different around Alex than me, he's more wary of Alex. He even tried to strike at my roommates cousin which he's never really done to anyone in this house even our roommate. He did not like her for some reason it was weird. Thank you, I hope it works out well. I'm going to buy my first plant probably next month along with the soil I'll need. It'll be nice to support my local nursery during the winter months too :)
Hi! It's going good, had therapy today which helped me a lot today and then work was fun. How are you? How have things been?
It is a costume party! I think I have a costume idea and I know my fiance suggested it as a joke but I'm totally thinking of going as Billy the puppet from the saw franchise lol I just gotta buy halloween makeup for it!
glad you liked the HA. I will keep changing it though 😆
ooh scary clown ha! nice choice for morostide starting
supposedly the series (Rivers of London) gets better? I don't know, I wasn't into it... You asked what Who Fears Death (Nnedi Okorafor) and Siren Queen (Nghi Vo) were about.
Well, Who Fears Death is about a girl who is born with visible signs of being cursed due to being mixed between tribes, she also has natural magical gifts, she eventually convinces the local shaman into teaching her despite his concerns about teaching women magic, and falls in love with a guy who has the same cursed/mixed appearance as her, and then there's a prophecy she has to fulfill, she and her guy and her friends go off to it. It's set in a post-apocalyptic Africa and very well written. Pretty dark, she has to experience death to pass her sorcery initiation rite, which is where the title comes from to some extent.
Siren Queen is about a young Chinese-American girl in a fantasy version of the world where most myths are real, Hollywood is run by Sidhe or other dark fae, she signs up with a studio and gets into movies, dealing with the various legendary beings around her. It's really spooky and entertaining. She is cast as a siren (with a huge snake tail) in a series of movies based on 10,000 leagues under the sea, hence the title.
sorry guys I've been kinda busy and slightly distracted. Last week I pulled my violin out for the first time in ages. I suddenly decided I was going to find online how tos and keep going where my instruction had ended many years ago. Anyway, I discovered my bow was wrecked. I thought it was our move that make so many hairs just fall off but apparently it was bow bugs. Yuck. They eat animal protien but hate light. So I've had to move things around in my room to find a new place for the case and my leather bag as i don't get it ruined as well. I wound up calling many violin stores to see what my options are. (more in a mo)
I've been scoring the house for my shoulder rest, music stand and violin books, all totally MIA. We even empted most of the boxes we set aside from our move to deal with later--nada. So we ordered a new stand and violin book, as well as bought a new shoulder rest from a local shop.
I've been practing for about an hour a day and discovered that I'm allergic to some metal on the violin. The first thing I thought of was the strings, but it could also be the chin rest as that has metal fastenings. So I did more calling around to get information.
So I had arrangements with the violin repair shop up in ATL to have them to chemically treat the case for $20. So yesterday I hoovered the entire case to help make sure I got all the debris from the bow bugs and what have you when I discovered that some of the lining was coming up. But I can hot glue this back in place. Then it struck me. Why would I want to spend most of the day in Atlanta waiting for the case to dry, when, instead I could buy a new case? One that doesn't have the lining coming up AND wouldn't have chemicals on it. The chemicals are harmful to cats and that's been worrying us. So I looked up violin cases online and with a case review artical, found a case for $60. So it's only $40 more than the old case. and we wouldn't have to spend the entire day up there with the dog in tow. So we have this all planned for Tuesday now. We'll drive up there, get a new bow, unless in the unlikely event that my old bow is worth more than $70 as a rehair is $75. We're also having some more expensive but higher quality strings put on it so as to lessen the amount of allergens I would be exposed to and having a hypoalergenic chin rest put on it that has no exposed metal clamps on it. We're ordering the new case as well. (no lol this is so not going to be cheap) We planned to go get some British groceries in ATL anyway so doing the trip at the same time is better than two trips at 2 and half hour drive each way without traffic. We'll go to the violin place first and then lunch and British groceries. On the way home we are going to a music shop to buy a couple of books. I'm excited lol How's everyone doing?
Right back atcha!
Thank you. You too!
That's not too too long but if you're needing them daily it probably doesn't grow fast enough at all XD
LOL! Oh my gosh that will be a fun costume 😂 I hope you're able to do it!
Awww no! I'm sorry about your violin bow! That's such a beautiful instrument <3 Many years ago I played the flute. I don't remember how to play at all anymore, unfortunately lol I hope you're able to get your bow fixed <3 You know what will happen? 😂 You will find all of those things once the new ones arrive 😂 That's how much luck is LOL! I wonder if it's not the metal but maybe some old bacteria on it from when you used to play? Oh wow you have a super busy day ahead of you! I hope you have fun XD <3
