They are both kind of fantasy novels with a setting in Africa about women with interesting powers/differences from their families/societies. One is Wild Seed by Octavia Butler (1980) and the other is Who Fears Death by Nnedi Okorafor (2010) I hope some day in a year or three when you have insomnia, one of them will keep you good company :D

What I find even weirder is the bird species in my front yard are not the same as the birds in my backyard. (Average sized house in a sub-division) Robins and normal black crows in the front yard and then the little sparrows and blue crows in the back yard. LOL! It's been raining so the feeder isn't out there today.

We could choose one of their cheaper plans but going to get a few more estimates to compare. Like I said if they have TV commercials they're probably over priced. That's so strange no birds are coming to your feeder! It seems like lurking kitties could be the issue. In the morning when I'm on the treadmill I'm in the front of the house and I just started paying attention to the birds and am wondering why different species. So strange!!

Oh my I love that you have so many pets! I love cats, I wish we could have more but our roommate is allergic to cats so we can only have the two right now. But Al is open to having more reptiles and non-cat animals in the future if we continue to live with this roommate. Do you know what morphs your dragon and gecko are?

I get it, canning terrifies me but it's something I've always wanted to do since I was a kid so I wanted to learn how to especially safely at this elevation. He is a ball python, he's about 4 months old (born in May), and a sweetheart. He just chills in his tank under his favorite fern. He's a little scared but again we just got him and he's not sure about us I can tell, but we'll get there :)

That really sucks the birds aren't coming around. I brought the bird feeder in the garage as it's been raining but I took some peanuts out there today and watched the big squirrel chase off a big blue crow. LOL

Good idea and I keep telling myself I need to keep reading as it's the style of writing I love. Remember the Twilight series? Everyone loved it and everyone read it and I did think the story was intriguing, but the writing style felt so basic I always wondered why it got such high praise...
