I think I ended up scrolling over a row or two of easy duders when adding the eggs. I think enough eggs got added to the others to make up for it. Mhm.

I asked before, but now after the reset Ice King still doesn't give out anything from 26 to 34 - is that on purpose, is there any reason for that?
seasonal challengers did get touched so i assume Ice King just didn't either.

I wonder if we might have some of the freeze protection on impossible opponents turned down a smidge? As I’m going through them, I’m finding myself not really using freezing scrolls anyway because most of them have a gimmick that prevents freezing. With our scrolls more likely to fail now, it seems there is some room to turn their protection down a little. Just a thought :P
Have the drop rates for crystals been raised a tad or am I just being lucky for a change?
I'd be more a fan of the Rose blessing if it was 100% protection for both. Just move the crystal to Extremely Hard or something in the shop and lower its activation rate. Otherwise why else use it and Bona when getting frozen is more of an annoyance considering not too many opponents steal.

And Bona with 100 % Steal protection, just as Metroid says: Stealing is hardly as frequent and as bad as freezing, so why do we get more protection against that?
I've said it before and am chiming in with others: One of the plans was, to free mod slots for the other crystals. Big fail with that change, because now we need more BoNA, Parched, Rose than ever, when 2 or a single BoNA might have sufficed.
I've mentioned elsewhere, but I figure this is a good place too.
Why not tie 'freezing/blessing/curses/stealing/blasting/anything else I forgot to mention' to the pet's speed stat? The speed stat has literally no value currently other than controlling how crits are handled. Put thresholds or scaling so that the higher your pet's speed is compared to the opponent, the more likely they'll do this stuff and also the reverse, where they can be less likely to be frozen/etc.. Cap it obviously at a certain percentage chance to activate (maybe 3k speed stat difference for example).
If your pet has speed at the same value as the opponent or lower, how everything currently functions is the status quo (don't punish gimmick low speed builds). If your pet's speed is say 1k higher than the opponent, you're both slightly less likely to get frozen/etc. and have slightly better odds of freezing/etc. against the opponent.
You can then also put speed stat of opponents back into that one formula for where they get stronger each time you win against them.
It'd also be better to put natural Bona/Rose/Parched blessings in a weapon, such as OHS' blessing, especially if blessings got tied to the speed stat. It would then allow us to mod our weapons with other crystals, instead of worrying about putting on enough Parched crystals.
If there's concerns about the fact that our pets can boost their stats during battle, then consider making curses opponents can inflict where they can lower your pet's stats. Could make it interesting besides opponents just boosting themselves 500 or 1000 points in a stat. (and then obviously make new weapons that can do this to them too, could be a lot of fun!!)

because the speed stat doesn't currently have any other value.
Adding some of the most important affixes to the game to a near useless stat would screw a ton of people over. (I'm not one of them)
The very little battling I did felt much more interesting for the first time in a very long time. Not being an immortal god can be a good thing.

As someone that doesn't care either way, I have been wondering how people felt about the healing cap when they likely trained their pets to 10k health for the max 10% healing. So I think screwing over people is simply a byproduct of some of these changes.
I'm even more confused about the crystals after confirmed above that the parched icon doesn't mean I'm protected. C'mon now, some of us don't have the acumen to keep up with this wackiness.

Basically we should have an advantage with freezing and blessings over the challenger, when our speed is higher, because we strike first, shouldn't we? Like they will already attack with the useless pillbox during the same move we use Soma.
But I'm all pro for giving speed more weight. Probably simply make it increase the activation rate for Parched and Rose (can we just get the old BoNA back!?!?!!!) as it already does for effects of certain weapons.
Also a question: Trident's and Thunderball's blessings retained their 100% freeze and steal protection, didn't they? Because no mention on SL.
I never knew the trident's blessing had that same protection. I'm pretty sure T-ball's is still 100% effective. anyways, if there's concerns that this would only lead people to build a pet one particular way to see success, I'd disagree. You can train a pet evenly entirely and at 8,750 per stat, you can do fine enough. I've always recommended first timers to the scene to train evenly until they get a handle of the mechanics and then if they want to experiment from there, then do so. But you can build your pet anyway you like.
