Thanks for mentioning and pinging the new thread to the bears. Some seem busy lately, as most are during the summer. So they may have missed the ping. Me, I busy avoiding the Texas heat, LOL.

Mine hear ya, bloody clear skies and 99 F make for shut in. Mine A/C isn't up to the weather, but it makes the mid day heat bearable. Al the more reason to look forward to the cold times.

On that mine should go check mine critters.

Yesterday it was 110F here, and right now 102F. I dream for any season, but summer. I dont leave my dog outside, they can get sunburned. Check out Pitbull bulls and Parolees series, and look for sunburned dog episode. ****** If squeamish dont look!!******* Lets just say, most of the dog's back was sunburned with hair missing. I take my dog out to use the bathroom, and bring him right back in. I never leave him in the car during the summer either, or actually ever.

Bears lets take care of our pets and kids during the summer heat!!!!

We had 110F in 30 minutes a car/truck it will be 144F. So definitely not leaving a child, elderly person or pet even with a window open can be deadly. I looked up this information, so its accurate. We have had children die here from being let in the car. Many people will break into the car to rescue pet or person, and call the police. I have given people a piece of my mind over kids, and one time a puppy.

ummmm ya....i TRULY do NOT realize that someone could FORGOT you had kids in the car OR pets..family ya know. I JUST DONT SEE IT!!!!!

I totally agree, I never left my kids in the car. If it wasnt the heat, I feared kidnappers. My kids and pets have priority over anything else in the car. Shopping they go inside with me, or they would stay home with their Dad.

right???? i know. a devastated as i feel for these people i cannot imagine what they were doing to just forget they were in the car. if you had a nervous breakdown..the REAL kind..is all i can guess besides being high!

I caught a guy going into 7-11 store for stupid lottery tickets. I sat in my car, and watch his 3 year old daughter until he came out. Then I went Momma grizzly bear on him. I named off possible situations that could have happened, that I watched his daughter for him. Never mind the fact that he probably wouldnt win the dang lottery. He apologized to me. I told him,"dont apologize to me, apologize to your daughter and be a better Dad in keeping her safe." I think I left scratch marks on his backside. Bet he felt like his Mom just chewed him, his lucky I didnt do what Hispanic Moms traditionally do here, and beat him with my shoe. I have learned good things from the Hispanic culture living here, LOL. I would have smacked him, hard enough the shoe brand name would have left an imprint.

I have always been the voice for innocents, I just cant walk off. If I had seen that Dad on the news over his little girl, I would have called the cops and let them know what happen. I bet that Dad went home mad, told his wife who would rip and new one. Then tell him, he deserved what I told him. LOL I would pay money to hear her tell him.

i remember having fear about my kids in their carseat...i freaked out even when one was throwing up and i couldnt unastrap pulled over fast enough man...i mean i DID get it fast eb=nough but that awful feeling ..i cannot imagine the other at all!! so sad.

what kind of game shall i make up for us all to play ans easy one..

Oh shoot girl I pulled over to the side of the freeway. My 2 youngest sons were fighting in the back seat. I told them stop, I cant drive with this behavior the car I will stop. One said, oh you wouldn't do that. Bet, I pulled over and smack their fannies. Signaled got back on freeway all was silent in the back seat. LOL

I remember hearing this news about this family. The mom went shopping while leaving her son and her mom aka the gramma in the car, windows closed and everything. It was summer too so it eventually got too hot in the car, so the gramma began calling for help. Ppl called the cops and they eventually found the girl, and they asked if the car is hers, but she denied. Time is running out so they then smashed the window and rescued them out. The poor kid's shirt is soaking wet from the sweat...

I dont know brave, I was pissed off at his negligence for his daughter's safety. They dont wait here, they will break a window and rescue the kids. In this heat, they can die quickly.
