Whyyyyy it's so cold here ;;_;; Anyone else absolutely freezing their butts off tonight?

It was cold here, we could iceskate on some lakes (not me i only fall so gave up). Thaw set in and gone ice.. stil, a wee bit cold. Upcoming week will be cold again with a light snow shower... snow i have to see first as we hardly get any snow.

Was away yesterday with a friend in my own town, lunch, shoping and bowling. I lost but had fun.

Work not surw how to feel about it, going back to it on monday.. will see...

Skating is tricky at first, but it gets easier, I promise! Grab some friends, head out onto the lake, and try again if you can - it's lots of fun once you've had a little bit of practice!

- Sorry. :) My hubby is the same way. He doesn't understand but he tolerates. I hope you're able to get some room cleared so you can set it up. :D - It's freezing here, also. Not as bad as the midwest but everything is freezing. :D

- I never could skate. Roller skate, yes but I never got the hang of ice skating and I tried. I wanted to play hockey. :D

Dad wasn't too bad.

Got him pissed off at lunch by correcting "Indians" to "Native Americans". Also brought up the fact that European colonizers used biological warfare (aka all the diseases they were immune to) to conquer the Americas.

He looked angry as a toddler.

Dad tried to talk about how the Aztecs were cannibals and weren't Christians.

- Good for you! Perhaps next time he won't act like such a know-it-all. Did you have a private giggle over it? ;)

Oh we're in Canada, not the Midwest. I know the polar vortex has gone fairly far south though!

I don't think he'll learn his lesson. So I can keep teaching him.

I didn't change his mind, just annoyed him.

I don't know if the Polar Vortex is affecting me in Florida but it's colder for longer than usual. The cold is doing no favors to my asthma XD

While you're not in the polar vortex that far south, I'm sure there's a ripple effect, making everything colder overall down the whole USA.

And I know what you mean. I have asthma too, and anything under -10C is hard. Yesterday when I went out it was -43C and the cold literally took my breath away, I couldn't breathe for a moment, especially because the dry here is so cold too, no moisture whatsoever. If you came here from Florida right now, that warm and wet climate, I bet it would instantly freeze your airways!

Yeah, it would provide a lot of excitement O.O'

- Yeah, we're getting hit with the vortex here in Virginia now. It's actually snowing out right now. It hasn't done that since 2022. My youngest son loves the snow (he was raised in Minnesota) and is overjoyed to see some snow. I cringed because it makes it difficult to move in the cold thanks to arthritis. ::/

- My adoptive mother is like that. She's always right no matter what evidence you present. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I cut my adoptive mother off because I just couldn't deal with her shnit any longer. I wish you could do the same. I lost a lot of my anxiety once I cut her off. :D

Yeah, if I could cut him out of my life I would. I would say once he dies I'll be less anxious but I'm worried he'll screw me over in his will. I'm on SSI so if things aren't worded right...>.<

- Do you have a copy of his will? If not, can you get a copy? Reading it may help lessen your anxiety. :D

I don't know if I can get a copy. I'll ask Mom if Dad has gotten any changes on his will. He talks with her more freely about his will than me.

Oh, he also doesn't want me to have anything to do with his funeral. At least getting it all set up. He probably wants me to come and give a tearful eulogy.

- I'm so sorry, I know you're serious about this , but your dad is the type of person who brings out my evil side. XD I hope your mom has a copy she can share with you. What does he care what happens at his funeral, he'll be gone. How would he know what happens? And if he is a ghost watching everything then he deserves whatever you dish out for all the anxiety he's caused you.:D

Well my Dad thinks he is God's gift to man. How he thinks that when coffee and sushi exist is beyond me!

The idea that I'll eventually be forgotten with any traces erased frightens me. But I think Dad believes he will always be remembered as if he is important enough to stand the effects of time.

So of course he must be in total control of his funeral! And I'm just an object to him so of course I shouldn't be allowed to touch his funeral.

I have sage on me at all times. I will make sure he can't enter his own funeral O.O'

- Ok, the sage comment made me giggle. That's one thing I would definitely do. Have you ever tried buttering him up to see what would happen. I bet if you buttered him up enough he may just give you a copy to prove how wonderful he is.I'm really sorry you have to deal with that. I wouldn't wish him on my worst enemy. :)

I might be able to butter him up. I just have to act like he is the best thing ever and can do no wrong.

- if you can stomach it, then that's the route I would go if your mom doesn't have a copy or isn't willing to share. :D

3 days of hard work and being tired afterward i have a day off today and tomorrow. Was up early as Dua had to go to the vet to get spayed. So she is now at the vet and i am at home with the boys, waiting for news. In the mean while, i vaccuumd, take out the trash, put the washings away and put a load in the washing machine...

wow that is cold, we use celcius here to and it's -7 degrees here and that is for me cold!
