HELLO BATTLERS! It is I, Purge, your friendly-ish battle admin with big, BIG news! A battling revamp is about to begin! (Miss you !)
The goals of this revamp include: ✨ Make defense much better! ✨ Make healing less broken. ✨ Give battlers more usable weapons! ✨ Freshen up battling a bit (as we all know it can get stale).
⭐ When this revamp is completely finished, there will be a FULL OPPONENT RESET! This is your only notice! Get your wins in before I finish the revamp! ⭐
This will all be done live, so you'll see the changes as they happen. I will be keeping a changelog of everything that I tweak as well!
For those who want a fuller breakdown of everything that will happen!
🗡 Way back when the tier system was put into place, weapons were all allotted a certain amount of "points" for their given tier. T1 was 10, T2 was 15 etc etc. All icons, offense and defense, were weighted the same. That was a mistake. Defensive icons should've been allotted more points. Opponents have far stronger attacks than user weapons can handle. Defensive weapons need some love too! 🗡 Scrolls will also get a look for potential changes in this regard. 🗡 The second change is healing! Healing has been overpowered and broken for years. This, in large part, is due to the percentage healers. The healing change that is going to be made is the absolute destruction of (most!) percentage healers. It'll all be changed to a flat, numerical heal (i.e. 10% to 400). Certain weapons (like Phoenix Quill) will retain their percentage heal though. 🗡 Healing on scrolls will very likely be left unchanged.
This change in particular will likely lead to some growing pains for battlers. Opponent changes can and will be made if it is deemed necessary! I don't want to see battlers regress significantly due to the changes I end up making. If one challenger goes from being a rather easy, quick fight to being impossible, something will be changed!

Exciting! I'm looking forward to more weapon choices. Since hitting T11, it seems like all the 'good' weapons are super expensive or unobtainable now, so hopefully there will be more to go around :)

I have so much battling to do before a reset! Do we have a very broad ETA on when the reset will happen? I see it's when the revamp is done but is it like a week because you just need to push code and fix what breaks or like end of summer as you make your way through that big ol' pile of work? Hmm, intriguing! Now regarding healing, if you're gonna fix things on the user side, what does that mean opponent-side? If we lose our percent healers, but the opponents get to keep theirs, that seems a bit unfair? I guess though if the defensive side of weapons gets improved upon, then changing healing isn't gonna be any different really. Personally I feel like the range from T6-9 there are barely any weapons that give a good heal.

Being a battler whose active pet has reached Tier 13 (max!) with Stat cap in 11878 points I am wondering if next maybe (hopefully) for all the battlers past the cap or approaching it like me can see an addition to both Tier levels and Stat Cap and dare I beg it for those that have capped out an additional Elite Training Arena and enter a Colosseum for these super achievers. They grow restless.
So the full opponent reset is only the stats, right? We won't have to earn them all again will we?? I would love a stat reset on them! Especially since I've been working hard to get my battle pet up in stats and can't remember who I've beaten ten times with it. A stat reset would make it easy to track who I've battled and how many times without having to look up each and every battle stat. :)
