So, the new scrolls. As far as I can tell, Rage is mainly a boosted Void minus the freeze chance, and seems pretty good if you have the AP. Energy seems like it has some situational use against high health opponents that can't be frozen. And Strength on closer examination is a good infinite scroll, better stats than Aftershocks but with different icons.

I wouldn't call Strength Trash. It's a decent infinite use scroll.

I didn't know that. I wonder if the CS challenger will be the same as the subscription item, or if they will be different like they were in March.

Thanks for the info about the scroll , (and in the other thread). Since I more or less finished battling the other challengers, I was thinking about trying Saggi again, but I guess it can wait for now.

Yeah, taking another look at it, it's better than good ol' Aftershocks. I obviously wasn't paying attention before.

I would say it's on tier with TA, maelstrom and mana surge. Better than mana surge really.

For anyone curious and battling on a budget, this is how I would order the difficulty of the new challengers from easiest to hardest for a mid/high T12 pet or a T13 pet battling on a budget set of weapons and scrolls:

Para tide, para butt, para GE, para fishbreath, para irion, para saggi (T13 strongly recommended), para rb (T13+)

why would you rate RB more difficult than Saggi? (I'm wondering if I used the wrong set for Saggi, because for me it was the other way around...)

Dont get me wrong I struggled on both but rb hits a lot harder due to the chance of a crit hit with the potential of one of his weapons doing 200+ icons of damage. Not even an end game weapon can block all of it. By T13 if you have enough AP and freezing scrolls to chain freeze, both should be about the same. But in T12 para rb is like a brick wall without a ridic amount of intel. Saggi is a little easier to survive if you can't full block and you lose your chain freeze.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. May I ask what weapons you were using? I don't have the freezewand (edit: I used Natasha) and I wonder if that would make a big difference? One of my pets has 14 freezing scrolls + 1 Void, but keeps getting killed by Saggi the instant they run out, while she survived crit hits by RB more easily especially in the beginning.

RB is easier to chain freeze since his health is 15K lower to start. With Saggi I was double blasting, boosted with tball/mecha, and used WoK with HoG. What was the second weapon you were using? You could use natasha's bullets during a freeze turn to increase your protection.
