Hi there my Loves! I chatted with my author, Mark and his eye surgery went good, he is well. He had a posterior vitrectomy, due to a massive puckering floater in his virtuous humor (the gel that occupies the space inside the eyeball behind the lens). This condition rendered my author's vision akin to looking through a petrolatum-smeared lens in his right eye. Lots of light and motion, no ability to make out shape or to focus on anything in that eye.

The surgery lasted less that 10 minutes, he was awake the whole time and the results were immediate, though he had to wear a bandage and patch for a day. Today he got the patch off and will take drops to guard against inflammation and infection, but the surgery was a complete success with no pain or discomfort.

He told me that he had a deja vu moment as he was coming home from the Doctor's office today(his daughter drove him home)-- When he was in 5th grade, his parents noticed that he was squinting all the time, at the baseball scoreboard, at the movies, ect. After a visit to the ophthalmologist he was diagnosed severely near-sighted and would require thick (glass) glasses. Mark wanted no part of that and spent many tear-filled hours pleading with his parents to not make him go through with getting glasses. No 10 year old boy wants to be called 4-eyes.

But they persisted and on the day he was fitted with glasses, he stepped out the optician's office into the parking lot and burst into tears. "Mamma...there are leaves on the trees!" he cried, seeing clearly for the first time in what may have been years.

Today, Mark had the same reaction again...after noticing leaves on the trees for the first time in nearly two years. He told me, "I will never again take my vision for granted, it is a gift to be able to have it back again, for the second time."

Glitter said, "Isn't it a good thing that I kicked your ass into getting the surgery?" LOL!

For the bears that know where I live in Texas, there was a shooting at one of our shopping malls. No details as yet, but no worries I have been home all day.

wonders arent there in the medical field..so glad the results are so quick to behold!!! oh no...that is always frightening and so nonsencical..random shit!! My sister lives in texas and julie and i are flying in there tomorrow from LA here. Literally the mall is about a block from where the walmart massacre was 3 years ago. So far people I know are okay. They arent releasing names of the 1 dead person, or the 3 that have survived. They are saying they got 2 suspects now. I just cant wrap my brain around uncalled for violence.

If you plan on flying into Chicago the Mayor Lori Lightfoot decided to let illegal immigrants take up housing inside O'Hare Airport they r using the bathroom wherever they want pissing and shitting out in the open, sleeping naked on the floor, and they r where u pick up your luggage, baggage, suitcase or what u call it. It's sad to see our country go to shit and people that it r in charge don't care cuz it doesn't effect them like in Ohio those poor people getting nuked with all those chemicals that they burned on purpose WTF

The Ohio river is contaminated and that is what feeds the Kentucky lake and my well so I'm scared for my family right now

They caught them, it was an argument between 2 groups with average of 18-25. Off duty cop caught one of them right away. They have 2 in custody. All 3 injured living and 1 dead victim were from one of the 2 groups, plus all males. Living in the airport, glad you told if I have to fly its not through that airport. The train incident, seriously telling people water and air is fine, totally crazy there is no way. Boil all water, drink and cook with bottled water.

Author rediscovering his world, my hubby did the same after his first cataract surgery. He was excited to get the other eye done.

Well BEARS the shooting at the mall was between 2 groups of people, there is 1 dead and 3 injured all males between 18-25 years old. Two suspects arrested, 1 right away by off duty cop. Thankfully as far as I know, no one I know was injured or killed.

Hi from Keller Texas! We have lots of fun places to do interactive things with the kids and us 4 adults as well. The houses here are HUGEEEEE like castles!! NOT KIDDING! There are so many suites etc in the house..2 staircases goreous. NO hallway like my house at home!! Am looking forward to seeing and experiencing Rexas. Always wanted o visi here!!

I am so happy his surgery went well! I remember the moment I first got glasses as a teenager and stepped out and had the same reaction of 'Mom, I can count the leaves on the tree across the street! Is this what normal people see?!'

I can understand that. I myself prefer (completely forgot the word this late at night...) the shopping areas with lots of stores but they're their own buildings. ( :') what is that called..?) I am happy with one nearby that has most everything I'm interested in, though I do like to visit others sometimes for a change of pace. To be honest, I don't usually go to the mall unless I want something from the food court (not often..), or need business clothes (Penny's, Dillard's, etc..). There's a couple places there that don't have a location anywhere else nearby here.

: I've never been to a shopping mall. I've been to a shopping center like "Fig Garden Village in Fresno, but only to the cookie store. The little creatures have an open market on Wednesdays called Market Rock and everybody brings their wares to trade. (I don't bring wares, I'm the Master Healer and I'm usually buying for Healer's Hall...TLDR)...Afterwords, we have the Market Day Dance down at the Burrow Inn that lasts until everybody falls asleep on the floor till morning.

Usually, nobody brings weapons. Unless you count swords and knives...or bows and arrows...or crossbows and staves....or ninjas.

I prefer smaller stores and places, but they are rare in a city. If I stayed in a library as long as I would love, I would probably be asked do you work here. I love old libraries with the old book and binding smell. So if you see a lady in an old library sniffing books its me.

: Books are rare in our community, my brother, Master of Lore and History has the most books that I know. But there are several old book stores down in the Valley, The Book Nook, Hart's Haven, Bookish520 and Excalibur Books...I've visited them all with my Author. He and just visited Excalibur last week and came home with half a dozen used books...I can't wait to read them. I love the smell of old books too.
