i would love to have so many kids..n grands n cousins and nieces etc. HEY i have now a connection to 7 cousins on my moms side!!!!! one gave me all the info on the others. when my mom died at age 10 (she was 38)papa cut us off fromh her whole side of the family and i will be damned if i dont pull us together again to show anna and julie they have MORE family here than just in germany ya know!!! sigh..sits with you by the firepit n ponders how YOU must be feeling. how have you been coping lately??i wish i could suck up some of your anguish for you my duane!!!!((((hus n smooches to your cheeks)))))

I think I replaced Roxy in his life, he helicoptered around her all the time. He likes all of us to be in one room, and like a herding dog he will follow and try to escort anyone who is in his defined perimeter. But I seem to be the one he concentrates on. every time anyone of my dogs have tried to herd me, I pay attention. because it might be for my own good.

Omigoodness our sweet dog used to herd us and when it was bedtime she really wanted to herd us to the bedrooms down the hall...she seemed annoyed when we didn't. We had a couple of backyard chickens and when they were out of the coop she would keep an eye on them and she knew areas she didn't want the chickens to go...it was fun to watch. The chickens were fine with it too they just did what she wanted...so cute.

Well Ronnie picked it up from our older dog that passed. In her mind its 11pm and it was bed time for him. She would get out her bed go find him, and gave him a look you know what time it is right lets go. He just added his on twist to the herding, LOL. I bet the herding kept the hens from laying eggs all over the place.

- dogs are so darned smart...I need a dog in my life...but I have some travels in mind and want to get the travel bug out of my system before getting a dog...also would like to get a couple more chickens.

We take Ronnie with us, on rode trips. His been from Texas to Washington DC, California, Colorado and all over Texas. His good, we make sure we make stops for him and have his bed in the back. Some dogs get nauseous, but a vet can prescribe something to relax them. Our old dog Roxy was not a car dog, until we tried that. She became a car dog.

- love a good road trip and even better with a pooch :) We drove from Southern California to Rice Texas and took our sweet doggie. We made a bed in the back for her and made lots of stops. We had no idea how it would go as previous trips were only a couple of hours. At the time she had hip problems and couldn't jump into the truck anymore so we made a ramp for her to get into the back seat and she marched right up that ramp like she had been doing so for years. She was the best traveler. When we got to Rice we picked up our travel trailer (the Casita is made in Rice) so going home we camped and she was a perfect camper too. Did I mention she was a perfect dog? :P That might be the reason I hesitate to get another one...she is a tough act to follow!

I always wondered if dogs actually would use the ramp. I think Ronnie would easily, but my 2 old dogs that passed I am not sure especially Roxy. She did everything her way or no way, other than that her and her sibling were perfect dogs. So I totally get tough act to follow, but Ronnie is special and his a tough act to follow. Ronnie was abused, but his so loving you would never know, unless you raise your voice or trying rushing him.

He's got to keep an eye on what/who he loves. You didn't get him as a young man, proper gent that he is. He was in the system. He knows he can't do any better than you, Mama. ❤ And he knows he doesn't want to try. Boy hit the doggo lotto. He knows.

You are so right, after getting away from abusing family, he was in the shelter for a month. Which his so sweet we dont get it. But figure all the better for him and us, he was meant to be ours forever. He saw my middle son and turned on the charm, and son says "he smiled and wiggled his tail." Oh I have told him, may times he was meant to be ours and his in a forever in our hearts and home situation. I think we hit the doggo lotto, LOL.

hehe my kitten is sure that 4 am is playtime and seems to have springs on her paws as she bounces all over the bed...adorable...but I put her out of the room with the door shut hoping for more sleep...except then she meows like she might die in the hall...then puts her paw under the door to BOING the little spring doorstop thingie on the door. Never a dull moment :P

I agree some people should never have pets or kids. My son bought Ronnie 2 more plush toys yesterday, I swear I have enough of them to fill a child's toy box. His a good boy, he just likes carrying them around or sleeping with them. Now my male grand wiener Fudge loves to shred them. sad eyes Can I have some spring rolls please?
