I am about done with my pets. One of my cats has learned how to unscrew a treat jar to get at the freeze-dried liver inside. How? Combination of biting and paw-work, the little 17lb mastermind. They do not need thumbs people. No thumbs!

And my 80 lb GSD? Well it started to sprinkle while we were out playing and she has gone into full MELTDOWNMODE and decided to Play-Doh Fun Factory SQUIRT herself through what used to be a 4" gap between my sofa and a filing cabinet (regularly similarly squirts herself through a cat door in a baby gate because why not? That portal is wider after all...) She got stuck (briefly) 3/4 of the way through. (Thank goodness the fatter one doesn't do this stuff.) Why? Where was she going? Behind my desk. Which is fully accessible by walking 4 more feet and turning a corner. Now she's on my lap (ish.) Legs? Numb. Feet? Wet from the panting. Helpful chubbo GSD? Staring.

- we lost our sweet best dog ever in 2020 and feels like it was yesterday. Haven't gotten another dog but my daughter convinced me (and it took some convincing) to get a kitten. I enjoy the little rascal she is like a cartoon running around this house. She is 7 pounds now but when she gallops down the hall she sounds like a horse :P
