Happy Lumi all! It's been awhile since I've chatted on the board! I'm Leilani or alohaprincess98 for those who might not remember me from Premium Survivor. It has been a good year, we took several camping trips, went to two Ren Fairs in Texas, and my son turned 6 just recently. Time seems to be going pretty fast, but I have been enjoying it as much as possible.

There are years we wish we could fast forward and skip... been one of those but glad to spend some time with you all. hugs

Good news for my year: I have a new nephew! My sister had Ivan in September. He was originally supposed to be due two days before my birthday, but he came 5 weeks early, so he was in NICU for a bit, but he's doing well and growing fast.

Bad: Well I don't want to get into it really, but politics. Pretty sure I lost a friend. Unfortunately, we have different view points and she chose to believe that because I'm liberal, I'm the problem. I don't want to really get into it, but it was eye opening to say the least. My MIL lost her battle to pancreatic cancer in October, right after my FIL went into the intensive care. He had to have part of his colon removed, has liver disease, and has undergone multiple surgeries. He is recovering in the nursing home now and in rehab, so hopefully he'll come home soon.

I've been pretty depressed and trying to keep myself going. I never decorate, because I really don't care much for Xmas, but I did this year, to try to have something pretty to look at. Depression is a dark place, after all. I don't have a lot of money right now, so I can't buy gifts like I like to, but I'm throwing myself into baking and candy making and hopefully that will be appreciated instead of material things.

I'm going to try to gift everyone. Been pretty busy and days are going by quickly. I hope everyone is doing well <3

Handmade gifts are awesome as they come from the heart. Oftentimes I make origami, cut snowflakes, or paintings. Doesn't cost anything but people appreciate the thought ;)

Sorry to hear about the tough times that some are going through. Hope everyone is able to find some comfort.

I need to apologize for not being around much either. My dad has been in the hospital for much of December, for different reasons (seems as soon as something improves, something else happens). So, I have been spending a lot of time there, and haven't been online much at all. Hopefully he will be moving to rehab in the next week or so.

Sorry in advance for not getting around to gifting. I'd love to but really have no timeline for that. I didn't even send out RL holiday cards this year - I think the first time since I've started doing it.
