Oh ok. I check that on occasion just to see what items are selling from my shop (usually it's a holiday type of shop) to see what I have to restock more of. Never thought about it w/ my main junk shop which is what I thought people were looking at. I'll try to remember to pay more attention.
To : I thought the same thing but this is actually about how blocking would [u]not[/b] work in certain circumstances, specifically about autopricing, so this is still about the block function and why it would or would not work in certain areas.

I understand that the autopricer was being discussed in terms of blocking. However, since the block function would not work in this case, it was already requested once before that all discussion regarding the autopricer be moved to the other thread.

Hi ! I didn't want to ping as the forums have been a bit more active lately but, since you did, I feel like we're starting to split hairs, here.
I was still talking about blocking functionality and if it refers to autopricing, then it's not exactly separate, is it. I asked a direct question to people already discussing the issue of blocking specifically b/c they are perturbed about undercutting, which is leading to the autopricing thread BUT is still not a suggestion/idea or other about the autoprice feature itself. I am trying to understand the failures and possibilities of the block function, a mute option, and what can be done for those of us that aren't familiar w/ what it actually blocks (in this discussion, about blocking individuals who undercut and AP'ers get screwed on it), and why or why not it doesn't work.
I will see my way out of this thread and post my thoughts in the other one.
Thank you.

The desire to block those specific users from buying from your shop is not to "fix" the autopricer problem as a whole. Its to prevent those specific people from profiting off you specifically. Yeah, the low prices will still propagate, and you'll still lose out, but the people doing it wouldn't be getting rewarded for their bad behaviour with your stuff.
Its a way of dealing with frustration and anger through blocking. So yeah, its a blocking issue as much as, if not more than, an autopricer issue. Also even if the autopricer issue were fixed today, I might still want to block those users from buying my things because I don't like how they play the game.

I would love a temporary mute. I much milder version of avoiding someone than blocking them.
There are some users that reading their posts stresses me out because they are constantly dialed to 11. I don't dislike them or find them offensive and I haven't directly interacted with them. Some of their posts/topics are even good to read. I don't need them removed from my existence but taking a vacation from them would be nice.
They also wouldn't need to be told they are muted the way people are listed as blocking you. I don't need or want them to avoid me or my shop and I don't care if they read my posts while I mute them. Even a direct comment wouldn't bother me because I don't have a problem with the person. I just rather not read their general audience form posts for a bit.
I support everyone that has contributed to this thread and support the need 100%.
Someone else blocking you shouldn't affect your use of the site, other than not being able to talk directly to them.
Buying from your shop (whether to resell or not, or sp or not) shouldn't be blocked.
I really doubt anyone is pricing low (and thus getting a low return on their item) just to troll, especially targeting anyone specific. Any time I've actively used autopricer I use it on a shop that has low value RS items in it only. If I autoprice my shop with higher priced items - which would really be a waste - I would double check it manually before hitting submit. Is that not a feature any more? I haven't personally autopriced in a looong time.
Critical forumgroups (think # wearable, bhp, CW, TSRestock...) are owned by various regular users. People shouldn't be locked out of those 'features' - because that's essentially what they are at this point - because they were blocked.
I would love to have two different options, like what has been mentioned here - a mute option and a full, real block. There are a couple of users that I honestly want to have zero interaction with because of how they interact with other people and how they "play" Subeta. It all rubs me the wrong way and I don't want to see their posts, see their shop in shop search, allow them to buy from any of my shops, etc.
