Oh my the closest to us is a hour and a half away. I love all the candles and Christmas decorations.

We had torrential rain when I finished work yesterday. We suffered localised floods. But no damage was caused.

Oh I lied, it's in New Jersey LOL. Only 2h15m away! Which is.. much better :P

It's good that there was no damage! The problem with the city here is that the road has been damaged for over a year now, and so whenever it rains, the main road in the city floods. And no one can decide who has to pay to fix it, so they just keep putting it off.

So I can't imagine that rain and black friday is going to go well, since I accidently got stuck in the Target parking lot for 3 and a half hours on a normal day.

Sooo.. IDK what to do. Maybe I'll wait for tomorrow :P

Still raining here. Going to take Shane to walmart, I need only a few things and could wait, but since he needs to go....meh. shop in the rain yuck

I have never been to IKEA either. No idea where the nearest one is.

Ooh I forgot to answer the bingo thing. We played a LOT of Bingo, but we also played Uno, Happy Salmon, Trouble, and Spam.. which is like yahtzee.

745pm Well i ordered one for pickup, it got cancelled so I went to the store to see and got a cheaper one. I let Nathan pick since I dragged him along. Should have just gone myself. I ordered from one walmart and went to a different one - they had the one I wanted to order, it was $20 more expensive (because, online price vs store price) but HE chose a white tree. Ahhh well. I let him choose it since I dragged him out to help pick. At least the tree I got was a lot cheaper than the one I wanted, saved me some $ I guess. Of course, I put it up. I fluffed it. I put on MY ornaments...and guess who is sitting outside, NOT having anything to do with decorating the tree right now? Even though I believe its pretty obvious I wanted to do it...meh. brat children. Boys. I swear. Wish Katie were here, she'd have been helping me decorate :(

Oh and I got a lizard event : Random Event You notice a Pink Comfy Flipflops on the ground, but right when you bend down to pick it up, lizard minions come out of nowhere and scurry off with it!

As the lizards attempt to escape, your trap fires, but instead of capturing the lizard minions, it hits them on the head... poor lizard minions! How could you? Shame on you! You shrug, and attempt to retrieve Pink Comfy Flipflops, but the comatose lizard minion refuses to let go. You decide to stuff both into your pocket. You are so mean.

So yea. Now I am mean to lizards as well as my child. So there. :P

[edit] Good Morning all. Finished all my biology work. Phew. Was cutting it close (for me) lol. Its due Sunday night. Monday starts the last chapter and last lab. Then I'll just have lab exam and final exam. Two more classes for English, supposed to finish up the MLA paper there. And all that work will be done because I already turned in my Final paper for that.

Teenagers are the freaking worst. Like.. there's so much you do to make them happy, and they're like.. "nah, eff you".

Alex and I went shopping this morning, did Sams Club, lowes, Petsmart, Walmart, B&BW.. and then got Wendys, all before 11 LOL.

Phew busy morning for you!! :) My morning was slower. But I got to have a nice visit with an old friend this afternoon!! :D Her daughter and mine were in Kindergarten together looooong ago, and we used to do a lot of things together as her boys are the same age (one is a year older) as Nathan. She moved south many years ago so we haven't seen each other often at all in many years. But she popped up and asked if we were busy, and since we were not, she came over with her boys :) We had a nice long chat while the children (hahah teenage boys are still technically children, even tho I guess Shane isn't a child even tho he is my child) were all outside doing gosh-only-knows what. I saw them thru the window a few times lol IT was a very nice visit, I enjoyed it. I think we both learned a little bit new about what was up in each other's lives recently. It had been over a year since we last saw her, when her husband passed.

And yes, my gosh. Teenagers are the worst, yet sometimes also the best. Neither boy has decorated the tree yet. I might just go do it myself. And then of course I'll get to listen to "I was going to do that!!!" Congrats on the forum point :)

I did. I also brought out the non-orb ornaments (handmade, purchased special ones) and left them in case they do feel the urge to decorate. If not, I'm happy with the glass balls.

Morning, guys!

I have TONS of special ones, I just looked at this white tree and thought the glass balls would look pretty on it. So I started there. I added a few special ones of mine. The ones that belong to the boys are still sitting in the bags under the tree, not been touched. I have somewhat fewer special ones than I used to, as I gave Katie all of her special ones last year for her own tree at her apartment :)

I did....sort out... some of the special ones and put them away - couples things. I also sorted out Ryan's ornaments last year when I packed up, so I have a bag of special ornaments to give to him, he can do what he wants with them. I got him an ornament for this year (I got it last year on sale lol and found it) - its a squirrel LOL I am also going to give him the squirrel on the wall. It is really his, even tho I have been teasing him it is my house guardian squirrel and he cant take it. But I am hoping to replace the squirrel with some new photos. So. There is that. (yes, the squirrel on the wall is a real squirrel - taxidermy)

I am ready to go back to work. I have totally enjoyed my break, but I miss my routine.

ooooh, I see. Yeah, they can take their ornaments and do whatever they want with them. I'm glad you put some of yours on, though!

I forgot about it being a white tree, I bet the balls do look nice on there. :)

What color lights do you have?!

It does. I just posted some of my holiday decor on facebook ;) They are multi-colored lights.

Normally I don't like colored lights, but I think it looks really nice on a white tree. I love all the little pops of color, etc. I honestly really like it :)

I love colored lights. But I also like white lights. And yea, the color does pop on the white tree :D The tree I originally wanted to get had the option to switch between them!! Part of why it was more expensive haha. Oh well. Maybe I'll be able to find it another time. Or maybe I'll splurge and get it anyway and have TWO trees? Don't have any clue where I would put up another tree though LOL

Ours now are different, they're colored, but white lights are my all time favoriteeeeeee. I think they'd look weird on a white tree, though? haha.

But we got these on clearance like four years ago for like, $6, and we got two. So they're on the tree. I do like the spinning rainbow haha.

LOL I would have plenty of room in my bedroom, if I cleared out some of the random crap (right now its boxes from christmas stuff, the shampooer since Shane moved it out of the bedroom he's sleeping in right now, and other random stuff of Shane and Katies on shelves and the floor by my bed - that I want them to go thru and decide what they want done with it, so I can get rid of some of it or store it. Katie looked at it months ago and I forgot what she said to do lol so she's got to do it again. Shane went thru SOME of it, but not all. And I have got to find something to store the stuff in. But again - I want to get rid off a lot of stuff thats stored - my attic is a horrible mess of boxes. I have a very large master bedroom. I have often thought to myself the past couple years that it would be so easy to turn it into a mini apartment area. Like, mother in law suite type of thing. except no kitchen back there. But huge closet, huge room, good sized bathroom. I could easily put in a desk and a recliner and lamp by moving my queen size bed out of the way a little. Put in a mini fridge, and a microwave on a shelf, boom. Good to go :P lol

Those seem like pretty cool lights ! :) My old tree rotated, I will miss that feature. Its why I kept it even after one section of lights went out, I just put on strands of lights (its prelit, so is this new one) but that gets agravating> I dont mind stringing lights on a real tree, but a fake one I'd rather have prelit!

You could totally have a tree in there, then! I.. absolutely love Christmas trees and twinkle lights. I'd have a tree in the bedroom, if Alex wouldn't murder me :P He doesn't even love the tree in the living room ahahhaa. But he puts up with it... last year he even said he didn't care if I left it up all year long, as long as it made me happy... so I think maybe he just likes to play grumpy.

lol I've heard of people who do that. Change the ornaments to the different holidays. I don't think I would. To me, Christmas trees are for Christmas. You can decorate other ways for other holidays. I probably wouldn't mind a tree in my bedroom, but I'd rarely have it lit up - I'm out here at the desk most of the time. And I cannot sleep w/ ANY light in my room. Its got to be DARK!!!
