Oh yeah, he's one of those introverted coding/gaming/piano types. He enjoys our family and our home, he'd rather avoid outsiders. Even on the internet, he plays in solo servers so he doesn't have to interact. Luckily he does still like to speak to cousins and friends from our last home on the phone and play online with them sometimes so I know he still likes friendship and connection, he's just reluctant to make new ones. He also interacts well in professional settings like with doctors and teachers so that gives me a big sense of relief as well. I figure he's just in that awkward tween phase where you just want to hide in your room. I remember getting in a huge fight with my mom at that age because I just didn't want to go outside. I literally would rather go to my room and do extra homework XD So we just do a lot of talking about life and the world we live in and building skills and habits for adulthood. I've been throwing out ideas for getting out of the house this summer and now that it finally is, we get to start pushing those boundaries and enjoying some wind and sunshine ^_^

There is a bug. Its been going on for several days now. Pets hunger not dropping. Someone on that thread said they even tried the cleansing pools and it didn't work..so nothing to do but wait.

I don't think spending time alone on it's own is really a red flag, I think most preteens hit this phase at some point. (I literally used to hole up in my room and play board games and card games alone and did fashion shoots with my barbies) But ya I hear ya. We do online school, not because of the shootings, but the shootings make me really glad we do.

Heheh, I'd be the last person in the world to be able to talk about being alone. I hardly ever see anyone face to face these days and I haven't been out of the house past the porch since 2020. As long as he seems stable solitude isn't a bad thing.
