I only have 2 pets so my feedback is probably not as relevant, but I think this seems like a pretty decent compromise to still allow people to have tons of pets if they want to while also helping the site.

This is somewhat unrelated but I'll mention it since it was brought up already, I think part of the Battle Stats page not loading very well also has to do with the really large amount of challengers that we have now too. Because again, I only have 2 pets (and only 1 pet that I battle every challenger with), and even for me sometimes the stats page takes several seconds to load when it's trying to pull all of that info.

The only thing I don't like about this is calling it a "farm." ha! (maybe Inn, Tavern, Reserves, Resort, Vacation, or something? [sub]doesn't really matter, though.[/sub] Oh! Or send them to the Bathhouse on an extended stay.)

I have 63 pets right now (will probably be getting more, as you guys are coming out with more rift & blobs, right? ;) ) & really only mess around with 5, or so, of them. I could even cut that down to a couple that are my more "active" active pets. I'd be fine & have zero issues if the rest were to reside on another page, especially if they can be swapped as needed.

i've only got 20 pets currently and would LOVE to be able to use this!! i've only got a handful that i actively work on at a time and it'd be great to be able to just pick from those whenever i go to read to/feed/train/etc

as long as all my pets still show on my profile, i'm good. i'd be ok with having to move a pet out of storage to work on their description/TC/etc as well! i don't work on a lot of them at a single time through so again my opinion is a little less weighty, but i'm all for this. ouo) b

i like the idea. I have a few pets that are finished so i can see moving them to the farm as long as everything stays in tact

I'm all for this idea. In the item dropdowns and training centre, it's not applicable to about 60% of my pets so it's a lot of scrolling to find the ones I want. As I cycle through them for job requirements, etc. I can always swap in and out. For reference, I have 89 pets currently.

The only thing is I'd like if all the pets, regardless of status, could stay in the pets portion of the user profile. And probably in the Jobs area as I like to collect their income.

There might be a couple other scenarios I'm forgetting that having the full list would be helpful, but there are a lot of places where I think this would really, really help (to have fewer showing/included).

Love it. I'm rotating my "focus" crew around frequently and usually it's by moving them to the top of my Ordering List. If the list can be shorthanded so I don't need to shuffle their ordering so much it would create extra convenience.

I agree with on the use of the "farm" terminology. Maybe more like party/team like in RPGs haha.

I love the idea of boxing your pets like in Pokemon! lol I hate scrolling, I only have like 30 pets, but I hate the scrolling. lol

As others mentioned, collecting income, keeping them fed/happy, customizable backgrounds, items giving them perks, or something. They're all good ideas! Being able to manage multiple things from that page would be great and adding benefits to "boxing" your pets would be awesome. Especially if it helps the site run better. :D

I'm all for it and look forward to seeing what cool things could be added to this feature. I even like the idea of multiple boxes, fields, or groups they could be in maybe. So then maybe you won't even have to load all 100 they boxed, maybe they wanted 4 groups so you're only loading one of those groups at a time. Maybe the group could have income or XP settings and other various settings people might want happening to some pets but not all.

Yay solutions! I only have 16 but I'd definitely be willing to only keep ten as the main ones that show up and tuck any others away to keep the site from accessing them. Obviously if the limit is 100 I have nothing to worry about lol but yes YAY do the things that make the site servers happy plz :D

I'm willing to move 19 of my 21 pets so that I can concentrate on my top battlers. And if we want to move one or two back to work on TCs or employment, training, etc. would be cool.

I totally support the idea of a 'farm' or whatever name it might get. It will make it easier for me to work JUST on specific pets for let's say training, feeding, reading, TCs.. When does it go live? XD

I'm all for this idea, I'm at 99 pets right now and only waiting for new releases for No. 100. And frankly, most of them just sit around looking pretty. ;-) I would be happy to send most of them to the farm, or whatever it's going to be called, especially if it unclutters the various options like reading/feeding/training for the pets I actually have "in use".

This sounds like a great idea. I feel like we could cap it at around 30, even. Doing so would help as more people join the site and create pets.

Just chiming in that I hope when it's all decided, that we can vote on what we're calling this 'farm'. I'm sure it's just a placemarker but it's not very... Subeta-y? 😰 But otherwise I love the idea; reminds me of the drawers in the wardrobe!

I'm actually not opposed to being able to delete pets or being able to 'deactivate' them by sending them to a kind of resort. Just maybe don't pick the worst possible thing to call it by using a common euphemism for euthanizing or dumping pets.

While I have much less than 100 pets, I think this is a great idea, and would for sure use the 'farm' if it was available

Okay haven't read the thread yet in earnest, just to OP, but here's some vague thoughts so far:

1. Definitely not opposed to the concept, first and foremost!

2. Please don't call it farm. My first thought was the dead pet that "went to live on a farm" and like I know my pets haven't died but also they went to live on a farm.

Maybe vacationing, or like... we have a pirate inn and a resort already... Perhaps they could be expanded upon to utilize this?

3. I assume, but just for clarification purposes, for active/dormant pets... they'd all still be listed on our user profiles right? Would they show up collectively on the pet page as well? If not, would it be possible to have separate tabs on the pet page (active tab, dormant tab, etc) or would I have to go to the resort/farm/??? to update profiles, TC, etc?

... Also would all pets show up on the training center regardless of status? What about books read? Oh, renaming functionality too!

4.100 active pets seems high, tbh. If it's causing problems already but depending on how works I could see why it'd be higher.

In the end, I'm definitely not opposed to the idea. Again depending on how the functionality of works I could definitely see me using this. When I'm more active I like to train all my pets to x stats/read x amount of books so if they disappear from reading/training options if dormant/farmed then I'd definitely utilize that for pets with stats I'm done with. I have accidentally books more times than I'd like to admit to.

I only have 43 pets and will probably never hit 100, but I really like this idea. I'd probably put most of my pets in this "deactivated" state as long as I can still edit TCs, profiles, etc. I use very few pets for features around the site.

Also, I really hate this "farm" name. I would really prefer anything else. Even just honestly saying active/inactive is such an improvement.

Don't have anywhere near a 100 pets and I still feel like the dropdown/lists are too long with my 32. So this sounds like a great idea, I'd love being able to shorten the lists and interact directly with a single pet at a time for treasure, feeding, reading etc.

I'd also like if we could have options for feeding and reading to pets via their dropdown, like we can with treasure. I treat the food eaten and books read lists the same way I do treasure, ie. they are in their own right a TC of items that pet likes and show their character. So as some people mentioned seeing a new item released and thinking it's perfect for x pet's treasure, the same happens sometimes for me with food and books. While it would be great having mass add for food and books too, it's not really necessary for this idea. Just having a screen where only that pet shows up and items in your inventory that can be fed/read would be great. I understand that it would be easy to take pets out of the "farm" for this purpose, but I still think it would be nice to add a direct page. Would help with misclicking too.

On that note, some people mentioned features that would keep the pets at the "farm" happy and fed. If this were implemented it would be nice if you could have two options, one that feeds them a bit (5/10 maybe) and one fully. Again since I sometimes feed items to my pet only to add it to their foods eaten list, it would be nice if they are not fully fed so I don't have to take them out of the "farm" to deplete their hunger in order them to feed them one thing. Otherwise I'd have to just not use this feature I guess, but it would be lovely to be able to avoid feeling like I'm starving my pets so they are always ready to eat something.

For the name, how about just "home"? And your active pets could be "travelling" with you, since you are taking them with you around the site and they are available for various actions (such as turning a pet Nostalgic or Galactic, which you have to "travel" to Arctic Frost/Atebus to do). It makes sense to me that pets at home would still go to their jobs and be able to collect income, or do exercise. Maybe these things could also be added as options in the dropdown (the link for collecting income already exists and can just be added there, training actually seems to have it as well, when a pet is done training and you get the page to enroll it again. Going back to the training center they even get a link with their ID). Otherwise for names I like "den" or "storage" as others suggested. But please not farm, unless they are actually going to be farming anything :P

tl;dr: I'd like options to feed and read to pets directly from their dropdown. Potentially also links to collect income and enroll in training via dropdown. If a resort-like function is added to the "farm" I'd like if there was an option to only feed them partially. Instead of calling it farm/active pets, my suggestion is "home"/"travelling pets".
