Well, that was not very helpful. :P I will try to remember to let you know when I have tested it some. ;)

I guess that everyone was using it on jeans or denim jackets, and they didn't ever wash them (some people seem to put their jeans in the freezer when they need cleaning o.O)

thanks :) i thought it was cheerful. ooh yay for it being on it's way :D
sounds great. How's things going? I had a couple of doc appointments. One yesterday and eye today. Not as pleased with those as I'd like. -sighs-
it works perfectly :D
Both packages are in the same sorting office according to the tracking, so I'm hoping they'll arrive either tomorrow or Thursday. But tomorrow we've got the electrician coming to replace the bathroom wall heater (and Mum wants to remind him about the state of the kitchen wall after he added in a socket and cooker plate thing last year - he'll have to come back to finish that, as lots of things need moving before he can access the space).... so even if the fabric arrives tomorrow, I'm not going to get a chance to even look at it then.
[edit] Electrician came almost on time (only 15 minutes late, which is good for him :P), and other than accidentally tripping the fuses while he was wiring in the new heater, it all went smoothly ;) He's agreed to come back and finish the kitchen bits "at some point" so hopefully that'll happen this side of Christmas :P
And according to the tracking, the fabric's due to arrive today so at least I won't have to wait too long to get started :D

I hope the next appointments goes well. :hugs: Mum visited today. We went on a long walk, made dinner. And I bought a strawberry plant for my balcony. :D
They say that you shouldn't clean denim too often, but I have always ignored that and throw them in the washer anyways. :P

I'm glad it isn't just me doing that with denim! ;) The worst denim I've had though was some I'd bought a while ago to make jeans from - even just handling the denim to measure it, made the colour leech out onto my hands (and that was after washing it!) o.O I think I need to find some methods for stopping the dye coming out quite so much!

-crosses fingers for today- Glad he came by and got it done quickly :)
ooh good luck. We never faired well with the strawberry plants we planted.
well I got as far as getting the fleece out of the postal packaging.... one of the packages was ripped open, so obviously the fleece in that pack had to be washed :K On the plus side, that bit of fleece shouldn't have any more fluff to shed when I cut it all out, seeing as it's currently hanging on the washing line to dry ;)
[edit] I don't know what variety of strawberries these are (it looks like Sweet Collossus.... but that isn't in the raised bed these were picked from o.o), but I think they're having a good year (planted these last year, having completely dug out the soil from the raised bed & replaced it with a cardboard lining then loads of compost)

not having that much shedding is a good thing XD wow those are amazing. Congrats. Look yummy.
especially when I have to use the dining table to cut out the fabric (my sewing table is a bit small to lay fabric out on, as it just dangles off the end of the table :P)
I'm still amazed those strawberries are so huge! Last year was a last-ditch attempt to revitalise that raised bed as I'd had 36 strawberry plants in there the year before and all but 3 died over the winter o.O When I get to the allotment next, I'll see if I can find the plant labels for which varieties they are ;) My other plants don't normally fruit until after Wimbledon, so it's even better that these are early ones :D

I just feel it is a bit gross to never wash your jeans. :P
That can happen with some fabrics. One pair I bought came with a warning that the colour could possibly stain your couch.
Oh dear. And I have black fingers, not green ones. lol Hopefully mine will do okay.

yeah, I've never felt comfortable with the idea of just shoving them in the freezer rather than washing them! o.O
nods I'd expect it to transfer colour if it was rubbed against something (even like friction of a bag against jeans while you're walking or even your hands against it while sewing - that's happened a few times), but it was the first time I'd ever had colour transfer happen just while I was holding the fabric! I figured it'd take far too many washes to lose the excess dye, and I'd never be happy with wearing what I'd made in case more colour transferred :P

but dangling is more fun lol. Its sucks actually Good luck. Our strawberries never produced anything
good luck lol.
I think Mum wishes I'd cut the fabric in my room - there was a thick layer of fleece fluff everywhere by the time I'd finished :P
When we had strawberries the first time, the ground got far too boggy & they just died before they actually had a chance to fruit 😊 If you have homemade compost (literally I just add tea bags, veg peelings and shredded paper to my compost bin) then strawberries seem to thrive in that ;)
oooo I love the HA today! :D

LOL we tried various things but noda. I think we're not gonna do them again lol. why thank you. Yours is looking amazing too :D
maybe there's other fruit that would work better in your garden - certainly some of my strawberry plants don't seem to like a chilly winter (and that was without having snow that year!)
Thanks :D I thought Niamh should head to the beach seeing as we've got a mini heatwave at the moment ;)

I have heard of the same thing happening with some types of yarn too. Never had it happening to me tho. :kicks on wood: A little bit of vinegar when you wash the fabric or yarn, instead of fabric softener, should help the fabric hold its colour. :)
Thanks. xD I planted a couple of cuttings from the strawberry plant as well. :)

we have two grape vines that we are hoping will produce this year. We also have three raspberry bushes also hoping to produce this year. Plus 2 peach trees, however, the late frost I think killed the harvest. We had several little peaches but all wizened after the late march frost, despite babying those trees :/
Blade approves ;)
nice. Hope they produce <3
ooo I hadn't thought of using vinegar - I'll have to try that :D
oooo hopefully the grapes work well and you end up with plenty of raspberries too :d
That's a shame with the peaches, but maybe there's still a chance they can bounce back with a later crop?
