stay safe! good luck!

Btw hurricane Ian is headed towards us. We’ll likely get a lot of the rain and wind And may loose internet, though I don’t think we aren’t getting the brunt of it, that’ll be Florida

yes I don't imagine you'd ever have seen it. It's a strange sci fi movie but it's good. just strange.

thank you :D makes up for Sorn hating me today :D Blade says Nimah's top needs to be lower cut ;)

hehe sometimes strange can be good ;) I was going to say that Sorn doesn't look too impressed today .... I won't risk mentioning that he does actually look good in that outfit 😇

laughs well the alternative top she tried was pretty low cut, but almost invisible with that jacket thing over it, so it looked like she wasn't wearing anything underneath.... and she wasn't overly keen on that :P

yeah lol he’s not happy lol. But I’ve promised a really good one next so lol he’s waiting.

Blade’s cool with her wearing nothing lol

She looks a wee bit cold today xd. Cute legs xd

hurricane Ian is headed towards us. Its looking to hit the southern part of Ga at the moment, so we’ll definitely see it since we are in middle ga but we won’t get the brunt if it keeps this course. We’ll likely get a lot of the rain and wind and possibly lose internet.

A week. felt like a really long time. Being by myself! Mostly just cold symptoms like a sore throat and nose congestion. Fun times. At least I have been able to taste my food. :P

True about accents and certain words. Not that I can recognize where in England and accent is from. :P r 😉

Thanks! How is your feet doing? :)

I can imagine he'd be putting your clocks forward so he can change out of this one faster :P

laughs Niamh says she'll get as far as a bikini outfit in mid summer ;)

hehe well it's pretty chilly today so Niamh wanted to go somewhere cold (and I got the top / dress as my final WS prize, so of course I had to use it) ;)

Hopefully you won't be too badly affected by it squishes

Losing your sense of taste would be worse, although sore throats can be really annoying too ;)

There's several that I usually get muddled as they sound way too similar to me! But probably I recognise the accents from this area better than someone from elsewhere, as it's what I've got used to hearing :P When I had my first job in a supermarket, I couldn't understand what the chap who ran the local takeaway was saying when he came into the supermarket, simply because I hadn't come across his (really strong) accent before, so I wasn't kind of tuned in to the accent 😊

Oh, I do hope your stay clear from the worst of it, and don't have too much trouble with internet and other things. Stay safe! hugs

Not to mention my stupid nose. o-o Cold symptoms are still not done, but better.

There are some dialects in my country too that can be tricky to understand if you are not used to hearing them. Not to mention every city and little place have their own weird words and phrases that is not used anywhere else. :P

whoa, I can see why you said Sorn would love today's look - that's incredible (and very very Sorn-like :P:P) :D

Whenever I've had a cold, my nose always wants to run just when I'm starting to read a book or something - it's like it knows that I want to just sit and read, without having to keep dealing with it! :P

Now that would make things really challenging, especially if they aren't found in a regular translation dictionary / google translate!

I finally got that bear made for Gran (I had another project that needed doing first, then a rush-request for three hospital gown style night dresses for Gran as the carers haven't been able to get a regular nightie over her head as Gran can't lift her arms up high enough), so hopefully that'll be ready for when Mum goes to visit her next :D

It is so annoying. :P And it is always especially bad when I try to eat a warm meal. Or sleep. Of course.

Those are most certainly words that any translator would not understand! Some really odd ones. Even some from my own districts I don't understand, since they are mostly known by the older generation.

So sweet of you to make that for your Gran. ❤ I hope the nightie works well for her.. buttons seems like a good option.. especially those that doesn't require a button hole. Not sure what to call them. :)

I'm sure that cold-filled noses don't understand the need for sleep! I end up having to resort to a tissue with Olbas Oil on, under my pillow, just to keep my nose clear enough to sleep.... although if I use too much it makes me sneeze :P

I'm amazed they don't teach some of those more local phrases in schools, although I guess it wouldn't really be much use if you then move to a different region with different phrases anyway ;)

Her arthritis means she can't do buttons up either unfortunately, so I just went with a traditional hospital gown that just has ties on the back to hold it closed (she's been in bed 99% of the time anyway, so it's not like she'd be wandering around with the back of the nightie open :P) You mean like buttons that have a loop instead of a buttonhole?

I have never heard of Olbas Oil, I would need to google that. I have tried those nose sprays.. but they always seem to leave me with nose bleeds, which is also not so fun.

I think they might be called snap buttons after googling it? But of arthritis if an issue, those might be difficult to use too I guess... Your solution sounds like it will work. :)

I'm not sure which countries it's available in, but it's something my Gran always used to use laughs You basically put a couple of drops on a tissue and either put it under the pillow or hold the tissue near your nose & breathe in ;) I've never tried the nose sprays, mainly because I never really got on with the hayfever nose spray I used before :P

ooo I know what you mean :) They could work for Gran to open, although the last time I tried putting any snaps into an item of clothing, they didn't go in 100% straight so the snap didn't work 😊 (I think I need a lot more practise!!)

I sometimes spray lavender on my pillow as it is suppose to be calming and help you sleep. At least it smells nice, so it can't hurt. ;)

I didn't consider that the snap buttons might be harder to add to the clothing. Probably easier to open than closing too for her? But at least it would be easy for any people helping her get dressed. :)

I'd never found lavender sprays to actually smell like lavender (maybe my sense of smell is just a bit weird!), but Mum has lavender in the drawers of the bed to try and prevent moths :P

There are sew-in snap buttons, but I'd not be confident that they'd stay in place if a carer was trying to open it and pulled a bit too hard!! (I don't trust my hand sewing :P)

We've cleared the weather threats nicely. We got some wind but nothing to threaten us in the least. The storms had swung further east so it was basically more like a gentle kiss. Brother and family are also safe.

Thrusday night, however, I felt and noticed a lump on the back of my heal were the surgery was. By the end of Friday, it had gotten extremely painful and I told my parents about it. We'd just done so much running around on Friday that I really didn't have time to stop and assess. Saturday morning comes and I can't even put on a shoe and can barely walk with it. So I'm back to using a scooter and I guess I'll be calling the doctor on Monday morning. I'm really upset because I was just about back to normal. :/ I just didn't have the energy to post at all with everything. It doesn't help that since my doc apt on the 14th of September, I've been doing everything I can to lower my sugar levels to no avail basically. I'm very stressed and dejected about it all. I'll be starting a new medication on Monday, i think, and I'm not happy about it. I think i'll be looking for another doctor. I don't feel he really listens to me but I'll do the medication in the interim which I hope will lower the sugar levels better. I've gotta do something since diet and exercise isn't seeming to help--though this this foot not helping me here it's really hard to do much excersiing. -sighs- Been struggling a lot honestly.

ooo I love the look today - the hat's making me want to say that's the Cheshire Cat ;)

Aww that stinks on your heel :K Hopefully it won't be anything too challenging to resolve, and the doc will be helpful with that squishes Those docs do seem to be on a one-track thing by saying that exercise is the answer.... which it may well be, but that's no help if you've got other problems that are stopping you from exercising! Just a though, have you got Wii Sports Resort (or similar on the Switch)? Just wondering if a sat down game of table tennis or something on there might still count as exercise (seeing as you're moving your arms) without the added stress of your heel not being 'right'?

hehe I guess Alice in Wonderland just screams Halloween outfits :P

Yeah they're not cheap if you don't have them already :K are there any games that you do have, which only use your arms and don't make you walk / run? I know that Mum was told that gardening doesn't count for exercise even though walking does (which she keeps telling me), but personally I'd say that any movement is better than nothing :P

Thanks :d I wanted to try out a couple of those new items ;)

i guess lol

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, gardening qualifies as exercise. In fact, getting out in the yard for just 30-45 minutes can burn up to 300 calories. Lol she’s wrong, you’re right. I have a couple though I’ll have to be careful as my right shoulder hurts and im not entirely sure why. Been hurting for a couple of months. It might be arthritis

Lol gotta try those shinnies
