yup he has grown and is 8 pounds now..he is taller looking now that he had all his long hair cut off(i like it longer but..oh well. Joey must be a hoot. Anna and I will take Benny to the dagpark to interact with other dogs..he will be in the little section but i fear he is very little andmight get very afraid! love you

Think little dogs are like little men and have a little mans syndrome where he feels inadequate because of his short height and may try to overcompensate it with behaviour. Joey tho little love walks and meeting dogs and people tho we always ask if the dog is friendly.

We have small dogs that can be separate from the big dogs in the park if that is what the owner wants. Never taken Joey to a dog park just walk around tracks where dogs are leashed. If you are worried about the bigger dogs keep him on a short leash so that you can pick him up of you need too.

Joey is about approximately 12 inches tall at the shoulder.

: Mud and worms...also knows as dirt cake. It's a parfait layered with chocolate pudding, cream cheese, Oreos, cool whip, gummy worms. It's got sugar and butter in it too ....the crackling sound you hear is your arteries hardening....I've heard it's delicious. We don't eat it here because chocolate is toxic to the wee creatures and gummy worms are just gross.

I did read about the Frito Pie, Weldon makes something like it with Fritos and chili beans. It's very yummy and perfect for Friday Night with the family.

Saturday Night in Glen Meadow is more low-key during Winter. Many of Glen Meadow's families have burrowed down at home after the last heavy snow last week and won't emerge until the snow subsides. Those families who traditionally hunt throughout the winter, like my clan and the ferret clans higher up in the sub-alpine forrest, will gather on Saturday Night for some games, ale, dancing and entertainment. The Burrow Inn, the massive underground meeting lodge of thee Woodland Council is normally very busy during the rest of the year, but on nights like tonight, with a light snowfall outside, there were only about eight families gathered around the large stone fireplace.

Dinner was a thick root and meat stew, thick slabs of extra stout ale bread with butter and honey, and sharp hard cheese. Dessert was a fruit compote made with fresh oranges that came up from the Central Valley that Master Sparky traded for from some human friends. (We're just too high up to grow oranges here). There's always ale, spirits and wines for the adults, cordials and punch for the children and honey nut chewies for snacks.

The little ones easily fall asleep on the floor and the adults either dance, sing the old songs, cuddle by the fire, play cards, or checkers. Weldon and I got into a lively game of Rook, a card game similar to Whist, playing against Major General Mitch Leastweasel and his mate Lizzi. (the most wickedly clever and competitive card player in the tribe). Needless to say, I lost some silver this evening, although Weldon made up for it by winning a few rounds.

By 11:00 PM, the snow was coming down more steadily, so we decided to stay at the Inn. There's an apartment upstairs , so Welly and I scooped up our wee brood and trundled upstairs. Thank the Maker someone had the forethought set a fire in the little fireplace, otherwise it would have been quite colder in the upper rooms.

This little apartment holds a lot of memories for me. It's here where, after the Great Civil War, after both of us had recovered from our battle wounds, that we finally decided to set a date for our marriage. It's here where my bride's maids dressed me in my wedding gown prior to the the beginning of our wedding ceremony downstairs in the big inn. I love my village, I love the winter, anddmls

If you have friends that are always late, figure out how much they are always late by say 2 hours. Tell them you want them at your place 2 pm and that way they will show up at 4 pm like you want them to. I learned to do this with my hubby's friends who were always late and didnt to say they would be late.

You show up on time because you were raised to do so or you hate being late. I show up on time, because I hate waiting on someone and dont want anybody waiting on me.
