SO I have gotten the updates on Adam. He does have a staff infection in his lungs (Mersa) they are pumping antibiotics in and the like. In a few days we may be moving from the intubated to a tracheotomy which means he will be able to be awake and going through pt and such.

I hope you're right, hen they say ventilator my brain starts to twitch, from what little I understand nothing good comes from being on that with covid

. Hes had a night of it. Update was his sugar level was up, heart rate was up, fever running white blood cell count. They are working to try and control everything and get him back to me but good lord its taking forever.... at least it seems that way.

hi all. been tired af lately even though i dont have covid anymore. i am sleeping way more now than i did prior. and i have massive brain fog lately too. i hate it

so sorry to hear that. The aftereffects scare me almost more than the idea of dealing with the illness itself.

i mean im just glad it's the fatigue and the brain fog that im dealing with and not some of the more severe after effects. also omicron is so freakin contagious. i wish people would stay home when sick bc them not staying home is how my sister got it and gave it to our mom and our dad and i.

yeah, some people who refuse to stay home are jerks, especially when going out for social reasons. Unfortunately others often don't have a choice. In some cases they can lose their job, and often their health insurance, just when they need it most.

the doc called with an update they have only turned down one med and are treating him for another infection they think he has but not sure what or actually where..... His sugar levels where up, heart rate up, still flipping him... Im just at a loss. unfortunately when im at a loss i tend to clean... so tonight and tomorrow Ill be cleaning...

yeah my sister was at work and it was a customer who came in hacking up a lung and not wearing a mask that she got it from. thankfully the company her and i work for pays us when we are out with covid. it sucked to be out the whole last half of december but at least it didnt kill us financially

Mine metronome came in today. I'll need to fully understand the instructions to get it ticking. It seems so simple, yet I don't want to set it up incorrectly.

Mine also helped revive my friend's minivan, not a simple undertaking. We changed it's alternator, water pump, and front brakes. But the alternator gave the most problems, all the components and steps involved. The water pump needed an engine mount removed and finally the brakes were never changed...

But it started, and needs a few more details before being considered fully recovered.

I am back home from seeing my grand daughter for the first time, and enjoyed visit with my older and younger sons with their wives. Even got to enjoy time with my 3 grand dogs. I have some catching up to do here in the lair and subeta. I am pooped we drove 6500 miles to and from.

OMG! That's a long long drive!!! I am so happy you got to visit with your family. It's so hard to do with COVID all around. I finally got to visit with my daughter & family last Sunday after not being able to see them since last June. I know how happy you must be. Hugs!!!

One week later, mine nearly over this cold. I'm also content to see some of you folks overcoming your woes. Or at the very least toughing it out.

I am having surgery on the 13th! :o Keep me in your thoughts please since it will be a major surgery. Hopefully though I only have to spend one night in the hospital.
