...soooo, I know I'm not commenting much lately, but... any advice for not getting good sleep (for like a week) due to weird, distopian and sometimes nightmarish dreams...? ...it's like, after 4 am.. :')

: I struggle with dreams like that. They diminished after I did the following: 1.)No napping during the day, 2.)No alcohol before bedtime, 3.)No caffeine after 6:00PM, 4.) In bed before 11:00PM, 5.)Increase my daily activity. The goal was to improve my sleep hygiene. Here's the rationale: Increased activity and going to bed earlier makes you so much more tired that you will tend to sleep 'heavier.' Alcohol might make you sleepy, but two hours later, your body wakes you up wanting more. If your alcohol intake was ale, your body will wake you up to pee. While caffeine calms me down because I have a wicked case of ADHD, after 6:00PM it keeps me from easily falling asleep and so I sleep 'lightly'. Getting to bed earlier recalibrates my internal diurnal clock. Having said all that, proper sleep hygiene tends to subdue weird dreams.

However, if you are still awakened by dreams and you find you cannot get back to sleep, get up, put on your robe and slippers, go out to the kitchen and make yourself a cup of tea. Sit in the quiet with a nice book and enjoy a few moments of waking peace. Pray, if you are so moved. If your mate is also up, share in the comfort of your relationship and read or talk together. Weldon will often read to me from his manuscript, or we'll read from 101 Famous poems. Sometimes he reads Wodehouse or Patrick F. McManus. Light reading or silence by the fire with a cuppa and my precious mate is the best antidote to weird dreams in the absence of sleep.

An easy chapter, this one. Sho' there were fewer assignments and mine took notes during the tasks, zo mine have a higher average on them. Mine sure this can raise the overall by a point or two. If a chapter focuses on a single component set and is relatively short to read, an outcome like this can be expected.

Mine iz concerned about how this week turns out, if our instructor is still out sick, we miss out on any extra time to finish the group projects. Which can lead to mine taking home an incomplete transmission.

Mine do need a relief from the quiet house of mine. A few minutes of mine metronome and some meditation can prep for the nest hours.

I tried reading to help last night/morning/whatever but it seemed everytime by brain would start to fall asleep, I would get flashes of nightmares I've had recently or previously. >.<" ..... (funny thing is, I actually went to bed around 10 because I had a headache.. took a headache pill too.. I Should have been able to sleep...) I think I'll try to pray next time.
I do nap during the day sometimes when it's too quiet, but I can try to put on music or something to help keep me awake during daylight hours.
^^ I don't drink so that's not a problem for me. (..I kinda worry it would be waaay too easy for me to take it too far, so I tend to just avoid all together...)
D': No caffeine?! </3 ....I'll admit I Do like caffeine.. and there are times I don't really think about the time because sometimes energy drinks don't seem to even 'kick in'.. (yay adhd.. I've been drinking coffee since I was a kid/teen...) But I do try to limit the amount Per Day.. I'll try and keep track of what time it is though..
I know I try not to drink too much of Anything before bed so it doesn't wake me up. ^^'

I'll try the cup of tea next time as well. :)
Normally I don't leave my room at night if I don't Have to because it usually wakes up one or both of the cats, which then wake my sister up earlier than she already has to wake for her job. (housemates weee)
I Could try the sitting in quiet or reading. That sounds nice. : ) I have a nice, small collection of poetry books. And you read McManus too?! XD Love those books. They remind me of all the stories my dad tells me of his childhood. He loved them so much as well he got some copies signed.
Hmm.. planning against my next sleepless night... Tea? check. Small pile of book options? check. Fireplace hours-long video on youtube? check. (sadly we do not have a fireplace at this house....) Alas, I do not have a mate yet, but I do have a couple of my sister's cats that would keep me company (and hopefully not wake anyone else). :3

Mine set it to 96 bpm, as close to a heartbeat mine think.

Mine would want to see that as well, there are only two shop days left before finals. Should the class not finish, mine is left with a partially rebuilt transmission to take home.

The time out helped mine some, as did coming to be greeted by mine nephew. Al left for today is to review mine homework and submit anything leftover.

I finally got through my WL, got rid of duplicates and items that just dont interest me any more. So glad I got motivated by suggestion here.

Definitely, My son chose our dog, but seems his a major Momma's boy. He stays close to me, all day. His also decided his the official asst chief in the kitchen, he manages most things that drop on the floor, while I cook as long as its okay for him. I felt he was suppose to come home with my son, and that we are to protect him. His been through a lot before we got him. We have made 3 attempts to bring another friend in the house for him. But they just freaked him out.

I hope to see some pics posted here of your craft work for the holidays, maybe other bears are looking for ideas.

. Well hon I don't remember how to do that. I do have pics on my phone. Maybe if someone can talk me through it, remembering that I am clueless, in my smail I can figure it out.

: Awe...some doggies simply need constant reassurance that they are loved, important and have a place that is safe. All of us do, I surmise. Have you recently posted pictures of your assistant chef? I would like to see those.

I made a new version of my Frieda Walking Cycle Animation

I wanted to make it look less chunky than the one with Weldon and Doom. It's still very "Cartoony" in that the figure is more anthropomorphic than I would prefer. At least this one doesn't have human bewbs like some of my very early drawings had. This one has chest, butt, leg and arm floof. I'm still learning how to draw animations and anthropomorphic reference drawings are all I have to go on for now. I'm studying some different animalistic artists and trying to develop my style.

This walk represents me as a very young adult, way before Weldon and I married.

In my next attempt, I'll try to have a more natural body shape, arms and legs not so long and skinny.

Some dogs have been loose the last few weeks, an mine outdoor cats have been systematically killed off. In light of this, mine have hastened to bring in one who has grown towards mine. He is a handsome tuxed tom, and has grown affectionate after being taken in. This one chose mine.

His welcoming will also include an introduction to the Chihuahuas who also share mine room.

Time to bring in more firewood, that cold mass up north chilled last night. Mine not taking chances on cold November nights, unless it rains.

His both reassurance and affection, his been super attached to me all day. I have my most current picture of Rondo on my profile.

Today's shop could have gone better, mine group was poised for making progress, until we began the process of rebuilding the planetary geartrain. We ended up having to regress in order to see if a previous step may have gone awry. Zo, tho one shop day is left, we have a better idea about how to approach the last attempt.

The only easy part of today's activities was reinstalling a return spring assembly.

: It sounds all so complicated and greasy. I like the smell of grease and tires. I would have made a good automobile parts seller at an automobile parts store. Unfortunately, they have no such things here in Glen Meadow and I would have to move to Fresno to look there. I rather doubt they employee fuzzy little weasel-girls, although I would work cheaply, accepting cookies for wages.

I'm sorry to hear of the trouble with loose dogs killing your cats. Tuxedo cats are very affectionate. This is Polly Nomial, she is the essence of affection and a cute tuxedo cat to boot.

Complicated yes, mine group made a novice mistake with the gear set assembly...we're supposed to place all the components with the transmission case in a vertical position. No wonder we had trouble getting the forward gear case to sit correctly.

Mine owe blunder has to do the output shaft's snap ring, it may be in the wrong position, and removing it may be more complicated the second time around.

Mine seem to work pro bono for one friend now, he simply can't pay mine atm. Tho his time is at a premium, an mine just happy to spend an afternoon doing almost nothing...
