My story is fairly simple: someone (can't remember who) made a post about this site on Tumblr, and I thought that it looked interesting enough. I ruminated on it for a while since I hadn't been on any pet sites before (although I was passingly familiar with them), but ended up joining the site. I've always been bit of a collector and got especially hooked on battling, so I stayed despite the occasional problems with the site.

as for how i got into subeta, i was trying to find something to kill time and i used to play neopets so i chanced upon this site like a week or two ago and started to play since, so far the community has been very very kind and its really heartwarming honestly. really love subeta and i hope i can stay for as long as i have time to upkeep.

ps: im trying to get into battling and have bought so many books for my pet its really cool, i really love this scroll called Aftershocks as it keeps my pet alive and able to fight higher statted opponents alot.

I joined the site to have a pet dragon! My daughter had been on the ste for years and had told me about battling! I just liked getting pets and dressing up my HA. I got into battling a couple of years after being on the site! I started buying more CWs after that and now have my own CW shop! I now can not wait for holiday challengers to come! Thank you for doing this!

I remember looking for a pet site to play on while Neo was moving servers. Well someone suggested Subeta (I think) and so I came here. When I first joined, I was like ; I had absolutely no clue what I was doing except for a few things. But I got the hang of things eventually. I still have my first created pet,

I really love the Angel color and have managed to win Pet Spotlight over ten times! I wanted to win pet spotlight on Neopets but the filters made if difficult. The biggest advantage this site has over Neo in my opinion is the ability to get more pet slots. There are so many pet colors and species that I like here!

I have to say that my story is not very exciting. I played on Neopets through high school and was very active in a guild there and eventually started my own. Some guild drama led me to be less active on the site to the point where I’d basically quit and only came on for dailies, if anything. I was on the forums one day when I saw someone mention another pet site named Subeta, so I decided to check it out. I’ve been here ever since and eventually truly stopped playing neopets completely. I know my account was cleared at some point, which kind of makes me sad for nostalgia reasons. But I’m glad I found Subeta! I’ve been here for almost 17 years and never looked back.

Happy mega milestone anniversary!

I joined Subeta when I was in college. I had been a member of several pet sites growing up and hadn't played any in a few years due to lack of time. Knowing I had outgrown the sites I used to love, feeling lonely in the dorm rooms during the holiday break when everyone else had gone home, and wishing I could recapture some of the magic of a hobby I used to love I went online searching for a new pet site I could join to satisfy my nostalgia and perhaps grow into. I don't remember exactly where I found a link to Subeta or how many pet sites I joined that day (about 3-4 I think) but I never logged back into any of the others and still log in to Subeta almost daily 11 years later. I joined on a whim and am so glad that I did.

TY! I'm in a similar boat as you - got my neopets account iced but mine never got uniced, so I moved on. I first moved to Marapets after a few besties introducing me to the site, then after 3 years, I moved to here after friends from a club (like guilds on neopets) introduced me to this site. Being addicted to this site ever since!

Interestingly kind of like you my neopets acct got frozen and I needed another place to call home. I found the pets cool on here and then they added avatars it was like one and done because I played gaia before that too. Subeta has always been a site you can actually play and earn stuff and I really loved that about my forever home <3

I joined almost 15 years ago on a whim.....googled "game similar to neopets" and subeta popped up, the rest is history!!!

I am a refugee from neo who arrived on the shores of subeta twelve years ago. Lured by the siren call of my best friend/sister of my heart , I at first resisted. How could I brave the unknown? Neo was home...wasn't it? Alas, she was so excited by the prospect of this new adventure that she abandoned me and sailed away on a ship with a group of other friends who, determined to leave neo behind, had formed an alliance and secured passage to this new world. For several months reports came back to me about the wonders of the new land called subeta. At last I could stand it no longer. I built my own raft, and set out for fabled land of subeta. When I reached sight of the new land, there was my friend, waving and cheering on the beach. I landed, scrambled off the raft and gathered my meager belongings. I wasn't sure if I would be welcomed by her new friends or not, but after a couple of days to adjust and with her encouragement, I made contact and was at once included in the group and made to feel at home. And here I am to this day; happy and with friends in the world of subeta.

To put it more 'normally' I was talked into coming to this site and I am very glad that I did. My weakness is cuteness and good artwork and subeta offered (and still does) plenty of it with the pets, plushies, and minions, which were my first loves and remain my favorites though I now enjoy the HAs very much as well. My story at its most basic is I came, I saw, I fell in love. ❤

There are so many things about the site that I love - the events, the friendliness, the fact that you can do just about anything from collecting on your own, to being a part of the CW scene, to writing and rp-ing. I have been involved in rp since high school and college and the rp groups that I have been in have been wonderful and I have fond memories of my times with GreenRowan's Wayward Squirrels and my days as a Hogwarts student in Wizarding. :squirrel: 🐍

I would like to try for the glade potion, if I may. However, once I tell you my plans, you might not like it. I need a glade potion to throw into the bonfire next year to create a harvest potion. I adopted Maplehooves several years ago and I would love to make her into a harvest pet as I feel it is perfect given her name. Most of my pets here, as in rl, have been rescued from the adoption center. I love them all, but Mister Mischief, my first pet, will always have a very special place in my heart. I still remember debating for days as to what color to turn him into but I think that galactic was the right choice. :) I also adore my fan pets...LegolasGreenleaf (which I made in honor of my favorite elf...and also where my username came from :) ), Agent Fox Mulder (an adopted baby who is perfect due to my love of X-files), and last, but never least Draco L. Malfoy (I literally squealed when I saw him in the adoption center and was so thankful I looked right then and clicked fast enough lol. Draco is my close to first favorite from HP. Sorry, little dragon, no one will ever beat out my Severus ❤ ) My newest baby that I created a little over a year ago is HallowsEve, created specifically on Oct. 31st :). I am in the process of writing a story for him and have started stories for some of my other pets but not finished them.

And that is probably WAY more than you ever needed or wanted to know, so I apologize. I do like to write and everything turns into a novel with me lol. Thank you for doing this giveaway and have a Happy Lumi!!

Well, my story is not that interesting. xD I used to play on a site called NeuroGalaxy. It was a sister site to Subeta. Many new users on there would say that they came from Subeta, which made me want to check the site out. I only started being active a few years after signing up though (I awfully regret this! I missed out on a lot of awesome stuff!). I remember once randomly finding a 1 Week GA Medal in my inventory and not having any idea how it ended up there and because I didn't know that using it would benefit me I decided to sell it in my shop. It was worth around 14 mil in shops back then. When it sold I thought I was very rich! xD

I'm coming up to 5 years now. I initially joined as I stumbled across images of the HAs holding the ragdolls on google images and fell in love with them. Now I can never leave as the people here are awesome.

My finding subeta story is similar to yours. after my main Neo acc was inaccessible i tried to find out how to better reach the staff that never seemed to care. I joined a facebook group hoping i would find some answers, which i did: i got my old acc back after only a couple of days. i decided to stay in the group, even though I felt very out of place there since it was somehow ruled by elite users i wasn‘t even sure we were even playing the same game. I came to a point Neo was going well but money was still super hard to earn there so I joined a thread in that very group of games similar to Neo. came up and mentioned Subeta, explained the basics to me and showered me in beginners gifts, which i‘m still very thankful for. It was about 1 year ago and with Lumi going on, i couldn‘t help myself but stick to this page. i was welcomed wholeheartedly and other than Neo, users here seemed much more down to earth, even if they‘re much more wealthy than you. x

So, my story about finding Subeta the first time isn't the best and I don't remember it well. I was part of an odd community back in the day and joined during the pet site craze about 16 years ago. Had some issues with someone popular on here, so I quit. I tried coming back about 9 years ago and still had some issues with some of the same things and called it quits again. I love the art and items, but the community scared me a bit back then.

This last time I joined December 2nd a Year ago. New account as I cannot remember my old password for the life of me. A little sad since I had to restart, but I've never had any super expensive items as I generally lost interest in less than a year each time. I had found the site by looking up pet sites possibly? I don't even remember. But I favorited it and joined the site a few days later. Posted an into and the community felt completely different in how nice everyone was this time around. I made some good friends that first month and haven't turned back. This has become my favorite site this time around, so I just joined a good site at the wrong time before. ~ ❤️

As for my favorite pet, it's my Glade Popoko, though that isn't who I want the color for. I would want it for Souci, my Bumbus. I've been using the poor thing for achievements lately and it's all out of sorts and nothing like what I'd want it to be. It's supposed to be my empty headed bee baby and I would love for it to be Blacklight. I plan on updating their profile soon once I'm done with more achievements and get their look to what I want permanently. I adopted them from the adoption center, so they had already eaten a food I wasn't sure I wanted them to have, but it goes with their empty headed personality. He must have thought that burger was something sweet. ~ ❤️

I originally came to Subeta after my neopets account got hacked, I was absolutely heart broken and a friend of mine mentioned that a newer site called Subeta existed and that it was more fun and the rest is kind of history lol. It wasn't anything super interesting, I found Neopets by complete accident when I was 9 years old but Subeta, nah I came here thru word of mouth :D

I came to subeta after Nutrinopets closed shop, simple as that. A few of my friends from Nutrino also came over, but they're gone now. :( My 14-year anniversary is January 3rd, so it's coming up soon! Can't believe I've been here so long. haha. Happy 10 year anniversary to you~

Haha seems like you joined Subeta around the same time I created this account, I had my 10 year anniversary little over 3 months ago :D

My original "joining Subeta" story wasn't anything special as far as I can recall. It was a long time ago however so my memory might be a little hazy... Like many others here, I started my virtual pet website journey from Neopets. I'm not a native English speaker and back then my English was pretty bad so I didn't actually find these sites myself, they were introduced to me by my stepsister who is about 6 year older than me. Because of my language limitations back then, I didn't understand most of the stuff on the site and mostly just did what my stepsister told me to, or watched what she did and then did the same. I remember the wizard and token shop especially and some other quests we would always do. I also remember a quest giver whose quests my sister would never do because the items were too expensive compared to the rewards. I have a feeling it might've been early Sagittarius quests but I'm not sure.

The reason my memory is not very good is because my sister eventually quit playing on subeta and moved to play on Flight Rising only. At that time I hadn't made any other friends over here because I wasn't confident enough to try and speak English to anyone, so I ended up quitting as well. About 3 years ago now I was feeling bored and suddenly remembered a site called "subeta" or something and set out to google if the site was still there. Lo and behold, here the site still is, and so much better than I remembered! At first I thought I used to play on a different site because I remember thinking the art for the pets wasn't that great and the page layout was different... but I now know the team running subeta has just done a great job to update the site and keep it alive. The first event I did after coming back was Luminaire and it made me feel so happy and welcomed to be back!

Now this I'm not 100% sure about, but I think I originally joined on a different account than the one I play on now. Because this account was created only little over 10 years ago and it must've been longer than that since I originally joined (10 years ago I was already in my early 20's with decent English skills etc). I have reasoned in my head that I must have come back for a little while at some point. Either I didn't remember my old account or was unable to access it for some reason and had to create a new one. It was very likely linked to an old email account I no longer have access to either. The reason I think this is mostly because I remember having pets in the past that I didn't have on this account, and a gallery I originally started to collect all green items on the site, but that doesn't exist on this account either. There has also been one or two really old items I was sure I had, but don't have on this account. I tried to search my original account when I came back few years ago, but wasn't able to find any traces of it.

So in a way I guess I joined the site three separate times as there was probably around 5 years of inactivity in between the 2 accounts and about the same again before I came back last time... but this time I remembered my old account info and have it linked to an email I still use so I could get right back into it! I have also stayed active longer than in the past and I think I will stay at least relatively active now, so in away I guess I properly discovered the site only 3 years ago haha.

Wow that turned out longer than I expected... More like my journey on Subeta than just a joining story but ehh, it felt like joining something new each time x)

My 13th anny was back in October. I think only one other place online I have been a member of longer. I came to subeta by way of dolling/pixel/sigtag message boards and a site called whuddleworld. Mostly I had dolling friends that told me about subeta when so many of the doll forums we belonged to were shutting down, we were not pixeling as much anymore, and subeta became the way we could stay in touch online. I'm very thankful that they brought me here. Most of them are still playing, if only a little, and I've "met" many more friends too.

wow 10 years! it seems most people here have been using the site for a really long time. my story isn't too interesting, my friend had been using subeta and she got me into it. all i remember is seeing her questing and i think i just wanted to try it out?
