they said I didn't qualify cos I don't have a kid. I've tried yeah i've heard its a lot of hoops to jump through to get aide of any kind to get insurance. right? o.0
that's the most ridiculous nonsense. if they don't qualify you for fed they should qualify you for state - the damn information even says it's for low income/disabled/etc not just elderly/folks with kids/kids headdesk They should just give us universal health and save money by not having 3940283430 different programs and rules and shit. I'm sorry hugs
we need something, but I wouldn't want it the same way England has it. There's a reason people go to America to get healthcare--it takes years to get somethings sorted that can only take 2 weeks if done with other doctors. And other "fun" red tape. Not to mention the underfunding and equipment that's 20 years behind other places.
I'm a bit torn on that tbh. I've heard from a much smaller percentage of folks that some stuff takes longer in England, but from the vast majority I know who live there - anything important or like this gets taken care of pretty quickly. I think Canada has a better system though and I wouldn't mind theirs. Ours is only pretend that we're not just as tied up honestly - everything is determined by insurance red tape and they're allowed to just ignore what a doctor orders and decline their recommendations so I don't think a lot of us are much better off really.
that's not the experience I've grown up with. My mother needed eye surergy and it took her 18 years to get it. It's hit or miss from the sound of it. I definately think we need a better way to help people who truly need the help though.
Yeah, that is definitely way too long to be waiting. I definitely think it varies maybe by area or something. I've heard good and bad. Either way what we have here definitely isn't a solution either for sure. We need to have accessible insurance.
Cute HA; so simple but so great.
Damn. A fix would have been nice DX
It would've. I got the approval for the pain management at least so I just need to get an appointment.
Melody's gotten her 3 shot for DHPP (well technically she got DHLPP-distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza and bacterial infection leptospirosis. ) This was a new vet he seemed nice and all. They gave us a free month pill of heartworm prevention and flea meds so that was nice. He said she's at least 5 months old as she has all her teeth now. Told me to increase the food by another cup and agree she's a border collie mix with either pointer or lab. He suspects she'll be about 50 lbs once fully grown. She's gained 2 lbs with us which I think she would've gotten more if it wasn't for the parvo week.
Reaper yes need to get something more accessible for sure sure. Muerte thank you sweetie <3
I'm glad she's got her shots going and that they were able to give you some additional meds for free as well! I can't wait to see her grow ;)
yeah it was nice. LOL I'm sure I can lol. I need to stop her jumping onto Mum or I before she gets bigger ;)
That is good, at least.
Aaw, she has had an eventful time (for the good).
Oh yeah, that's a good habit to break her of quickly. We redirected Roxy by encouraging her to grab one of her toys instead and then she'd keep her paws on the floor so we could greet her.
Appointment is made. It's not until the 6th but that's the earliest I could get in.
