Was sick for a few days (booo! :() but at least I'm better in time for bat boy! Congrats on everyone's wins! <3

We've managed 5 wins so far *(woo!), but we're struggling now and I'm not sure how to best improve our chances? Here's what we have:

I'm borrowing a Maniacal Essence from a lovely friend once they're done with it, but we seem to be dying to crits more than just the dark damage, I'm not sure if spending all my exp to get to 4701 speed is wise though :P His heals are also a problem... I don't mind spending everything listed there ^ if it will get these 10 wins; I'd rather be bankrupt and booster-less, but have my weapon, rather than save and have to wait another year :P

I could grind some more guys for amulets / tomes also, but I've lost track of which ones drop them? [edit] *

Ten easy Rouland wins with Daniel. Severus can probably get all ten but battling takes so damn long at the moment I just can't be bothered to figure out which weapons he needs and make a new set. This is not fun and I don't care any more.

I recommend more health if you're looking to spend the EXP

Last year I beat Rouland 0 times. This year I beat Rouland 10 times. FINALLLY GOT THAT ACHIEVEMENT!

Hello, I'm attempting Rouland for the first time ever. Is my pet just too weak though?

Level: 1159 Health: 4660 / 4660 Strength: 2898 Defense: 2888 Speed: 2888 Intelligence: 2086 AP: 130

Battle set is: Acorn Bomb, The Ether, Natasha, Intricate Energized Helmet, Reviver of the Lion, Phoenix Quill, Soma Tablets, and Recycle Blaster. I also own Malice, Rainbow Vortex, Rapier of Error, Shinwas Temple Shard, and some of the legend weapons like Eternal and Shinigami, if those would help instead.

The Ether is currently modified with three freezing baguettes and one parched baguette; Natasha had three healing baguettes and one parched baguette. (Those are my main attackers.)

Scroll set is: Sonar Scream, Cobalt Eternal x 2, Sancturia Exodin x2, Gelaspell, Shriek of Despair. (Still a bit salty that at 20x victories against the Nightlady and not a single Shriek drop).

I've actually gotten Rouland down to about 25% health, so I'm already impressed I got that far.

@/gemajgall You should be able to get a couple wins at least, but I would definitely change your mods up. He has an anti-freeze blessing that's got a very high chance of activating first turn, so those mods are useless. I also never found much use for the healing baguettes, so I'd recommend dropping those for Blessing of Natural Armor tear crystals.

I'd also ditch the Acorn Bomb, as I don't think its damage is gonna make much difference. I like to use my full blocker and my freezer first turn, then double blast second turn, but that's me and possibly not the best advice.

Your freezing scrolls aren't gonna be super useful unless you're very lucky either, so maybe some more defensive scrolls, or healing ones would be better. Also, you really need a constant healing scroll, like Terra Focujin, Triple Threat, or Aftershocks.

Whew.... OK I'm going to tweak my weapons and try for more.

Thanks for the advice. I swapped out my mods and made a Terra Focujin scroll.

I still keep losing. If I don't get critical'ed too early on, I can get him down to 8000-10000 health before I run out. My strategy has been to start out with The Ether, Natasha, and Shriek of Despair to freeze him, blast him with The Ether and Natasha while he's frozen. If he hasn't made himself anti-freeze by then, follow up with Intricate Energized Helmet and Soma Tablets. Otherwise, hit him with Rainbow Vortex and Soma Tablets. Then one of the weapons and Recycle Blaster with Cobalt Eternal for defense. From there, I take aim with the two main weapons, keep healing with Terra Focujin or occassional defend with my remaining defense scrolls. I use one of my two healing items when I get low on health and try to hold on as long as I can. I've changed it up a bit testing various things, but this is the rough order I found that brought him to the lowest health before I lose.

I just don't know if my pet is strong enough yet. But this does bring hope for next year.

Managed the eke out 2 wins on Rouland! I'm thinking my pet is a bit weak for the full 10 atm, but hoping I can get to at least 5 this year!

Managed 2 wins on Rouland with Lhyven but eh I need to get a better blocker.

Hmm....reading through the posts, perhaps it' my scroll set....what are people using for scrolls?
