I can only imagine how amazing it is for the girls to join the Boy Scouts. I would have been stoked to join the boy scouts, since ALL my friends were in it! I'm non-binary... no sisters, mother who is a hunting, fishing, auto-mechanic and general butch-like badass. I had no girl neighbors and only like two girl friends growing up. Needless to say, being surrounded by girls was not something I enjoyed as a child. Dolls and playing house and making bracelets... meh. I was in Brownies (precursor to Girl Scouts) for two weeks and begging my mother to let me quit because I hated everything about it!

Unless they are chill and laidback humans, being in a large group of women is still not something I enjoy. 😆 I only really have one female friend in real life now... she is pan and part of an LGBTQ+ 4-piece group consisting of her, me, our trans buddy Felix, and our gender queer demi friend Quinn.

The snowman scavenger hunt sound fun! Always love a scavenger hunt, to be fair! 😆 And now that you mention it, I have seen movies with scouts selling and picking up old xmas trees. I assumed there must be some fundraising going on, but hearing about all the other activities was enlightening.

I clicked a couple of times for it to send me a reset link or whatever and they haven't sent me anything. Probably not a good sign of how the site is doing lol.

The Girl Scouts are SO FOCUSED on selling cookies, a lot of girls find it no fun once they get to a certain point. Most girls who jump ship did so because they wanted to do more outdoor activities. I quit once I got to the Cadet level. It got super boring and I just didn't have the same enthusiasm for it any more. I was much more a fan of playing in the dirt and rough housing/playing video games with my brothers and guy friends.

I made a new board and I will ping everyone in the AM so we can start off the Weekend (and hopefully Fireside) with a shiny new Tank!

Do we make a fireside board? I don't think we do, but I wanted to make sure. I keep forgetting which holidays have boards.

I definitely was an outdoorsy type. I only joined in the first place because they were about to go on a whale watch, and I wanted to go. But I was ready to quit before I even went! Oh, and I'm from Maine, so a whale watch on the coast is a pretty basic outdoor activity like hiking here.

I was definitely a play in the dirt kid. We wen out and threw tomahawks and stuff together... played on dirt bikes... and to increase the thrill of regular bikes, we rode as fast as we could and jumped off RIGHT before the bikes flew into the frog pond (unless we messed up). And of course, basketball and frisbee and tossing around the football. I was basically just another guy. My mum often said she had two boys and a girl... "And THIS is my girl, so... three boys". And a huge gamer too... still am on that one.

She was the boy her dad never had too. Like, her sisters are hella girly.

EDIT: This may be a stupid question, but did you hit Enter? Like, on the keyboard? You just have to click in the box to type... type a word and hit Enter. The arrow only worked sporadically for me. And clicking "Create Tag" below where you type worked I think, but it isn't necessary. Just Enter.

You can delete the tags. You don't click create at all. Casual was never in my tags. I just hit enter, and it will create a new one if needed... and add them to the existing tag if needed. Maybe you should delete all your tags and start over?

EDIT: Oh... hold on... I'll look at how I deleted one before.

Click Outfits > Filter > click the Tags search box, hit the arrow. That lists them all. BUT it lists each outfit there, so it will say like 8 "Winter" if you have 8 tagged. You have to remove each one. Note that all 8 show up below too. It looks weird af, but it does work.

Oh, and I had to click out and back in and refresh and etc just to get to delete another one too bc it is as buggy as the rest of the wardrobe. Like, search for ANYTHING in there and it is just broken.

I gave up on it. I just wanted to check something. I miss my poor pets, but the site has just gone so far downhill. It isn't even worth the aggravation to try to get back in. Especially since they want to make it so difficult!

They sold it forever ago and never really updated it after that I think. I mean, they talked about it in one of my college courses... how something successful once bought by a big corporation won't necessarily stay successful, which is why so many tech purchases just... disappear. And not only because people bought a potential competitor, but because they don't know what to do with it or understand the market/audience/userbase.

It has been sold a few times since the original creators sold it. I know at one point the company that owns Nickelodeon had it (when all the ads for the Altador Cup were shoved in my face on there all day lol). It changed hands at least twice after that, and now I have no clue who owns it. The new owners really don't seem to care.

Is it just me or is the site super lagging? I hope the new wardrobe system doesn't break the site like morostide did.

Yeah.. Nickolodeon bought it and turned all the games into advertisements for sugary cereal and toys. Lots of parents banned it at that point for little kids. The grown players were pissed about the changes too and gradually drifted away. It stopped generating as much revenue as the company hoped, so they sold it.

At least, that is how it was explained in class.

Morostide just wasn't laggy. The last 2 days half the site was broken and not working. :(

It was all over the place back then 0_0 I got tired of seeing it and I was still playing the site lol. I got tired of not being able to talk to other adults like adults! In our guild someone got in trouble because she said she was making a chicken breast dish for dinner. Just because of the word breast! They didn't even look at the context of it.

OMG trying to do quests and the pages just sit there with circles spinning. Grr.

Jeez... like... it legit killed the site! 😆 Not sorry I missed that, but since ALL of the morostide stuff from 2021 is hella expensive, I almost wish I was here.

That is why I have some of them on LinkedIn and whatnot... because I got banned like a million times just for being a grown person talking to other grown people. lol

A lot of the morostide stuff especially TOT stuff got so cheap I tossed a lot in my vault because it wasn't worth selling. And they didn't release any achievements at all not even rag dolls even though they had rag dolls this year.

It is sad when you have to basically use code words like we are all children! I never got in trouble or anything mostly because I was always paranoid about saying anything. It was such a relief to find this site!

Yeah weird... I noticed the lack of achvs for candy/dolls/clothing sets. Whatever. I still want the stuff, so I'm buying it. I could wait for trades, since I have holiday stuff piled up from the past 10 years. 😆 Clicking "Buy" is so much easier though.

I got banned for literally anything and everything. Like.. mentioning I had a child. "Pregnancy" and all topics related were banned. Saying "that was stupid"... banned for bullying even though it wasn't aimed at a person. Just... man. I got banned all the time. I think once you had been banned... they watched you or something.
