I never wear dresses. I haven't worn a dress or skirt since I was 12 I think. Not my vibe at all. But I definitely have my own style irl.

My style in rl at the moment is kinda like "did you just roll out of bed?" lmao!

Btw... when I got up this morning, I had two more job offers and two more interview requests. That figures, right?

One of them is super tempting. It is for a top five Fortune 500 (so crazy good benefits). But it is work I've done before (boring) and may be much more physically demanding (management--more running around/juggling lots of things). The salary is about the same but the bonuses will probably be double what the bonuses are at the job I took.

Ugh.

Anyway, the offer to look over your resume still stands. Or help you make one or spruce it up or whatever.

I was interviewing at like 11 places during the peak of this whole job search. I was resume/cover letter writing and interviewing like it WAS my job. Everyone did the same thing... I'd get to the last round of interviews and they just... wouldn't make the decision.

As in... decision pending. Not taking more resumes or more interviews... just NOT making up their damn minds. I was getting super antsy.

When it rains it pours. Two offers, both excellent options. I'm sticking with the first one though. They liked me and made a position for me because they have some higher positions in mind that require bank experience. I can live with that. It's nice to have someone really believe in you.

Those are a lot of interviews. I would be so stressed out! I would have been very antsy too. I hate when they just leave people hanging.

I interview well I think. I just review the job listing, the resume I sent, and think of a strategy prior. I also have lots of examples for common questions: Tell me a time you overcame a challenge. If an employee was struggling to meet his/her goals, what would you do first? A big part of this job is X, can you tell me more about your experience with X?

It's all pretty similar when you get down to it. It helps to think in terms of STAR: Situation, Task, Action, Result. If you can tell a whole story to answer the question, that is most memorable. So in 1 minute or less, I try to explain the situation, the task at hand, the action I took, and the (positive) result. Done.

I taught classes on this and mentored undergrads too, so I ought to be pretty proficient at it. If I wasn't before, I sure am now! 😆

I hate when I have a hard time sleeping!

I am horrible at interviews. I am not good at talking with people at all! I have always been that way. I get all nervous and turn red. I know I am sweating like a sinner in church which makes it even worse. I am just not a people person!

I love decorating for all of the holidays, but Christmas is the only time I decorate the inside of the apartment. Not much. Just cleaning and running some errands. How about you?

I meditate at night to help me sleep, but if I get interrupted somehow or wake up after an hour or two of sleep, I sometimes have trouble getting to sleep again. Still, it's an improvement. I've been an insomniac since I was a little kid.

Same... things will help for a week or so but then it stops helping.

Strangely, people talk about thinking too much and whatnot. That isn't it for me. I won't be thinking about, well... anything important or emotional.

I have tried teas and vitamins and gummies. Spent way too much money!

Same! Sometimes I just think about tv shows I am watching lol. Anything that isn't stressful or personal.

I recite old poetry to myself if all else fails... or do Kakuro puzzles, which are sort of like sudoku... except you have to do actual math. Like... 6 numbers that add up to 39, two numbers that add up to 17, etc. And they go horizontal and vertical like a crossword?

Anyway, doing math and thinking about math is not exactly thrilling. 😆

On a side note... got to submit about 150 items to RB today. I think I've done like 500 or so in the days I've been back.

I love playing Delicous Emily comp games before going to bed. Thankfully I have a few. They are just nice, relaxing repetitive games that I can just shut off my brain and play lol. Math is painful :P I usually don't have anything for him. I don't really keep a bunch of items.

Well, today like 80 of them were bought at midnight. Anything under 2k, I'll just mass buy. So... I did that. The others were just 10-15 stacks of things I keep for quests. Game prizes for Quentin, and that type of thing.

Never heard of those emily games before. I looked them up... cute!

I like math. But then... I got my master's in technology from Purdue. They are big on STEM and one of the best engineering schools in the country. So I had to take the same math classes as their engineering students. You get good fast or fail I guess.

I sell everything lol. Especially this time of year. I need to save up for presents!

I love them! I have 9 Delicious Emily games and 3 Fabulous Angela games (Emily's sister). Angela's games are more about fashion instead of cooking, but just as much fun :)

Oh I would have failed. I tried helping Emily with he "new" math and it just about drove me nuts!

I frag everything that's like 5k or less, regardless of rarity. And I frag everything common and under even if it is over 5k.

And I save bunches of items for achvs and quests... and trades for holidays.

Math is just one of those things that you don't get until it clicks, then it is like... how did I ever NOT get this? 😆
