So, today was hard. It started at 7am with a knock on the door. The plumbing line burts from rain diluge and flooded my complex. The apartments next to mine are flooded inside the apartments. I happen to be below a main drain and next to a secondary drain. So I seem to be the only person with a dry apartment. HUGE PLUS. The downside is that maintenance thus used my apartment as a base. All day they had hoses connected to my plumbing to air flush others. And there's a giant truck they pumped water into that was VERY LOUD. Noise and the strange men going in and out made me a nervous wreck. Plus the water outside kept rising and rising all day and reached my door. And I was like, hm, should I be concerned now? But they finished in time. 10pm and they finally got the lines working and the water drained away. Aside from the creek that has formed in my backyard I got away very lucky.

i got the eye thing from the token shop, cost me all my tokens as i kept getting hexed. The bag i gotten earlier. I am changing my outfit as i go and if i get bored of it.
So tired. The rumbling truck and workers didn't leave until 2AM. I was already anxious and that prevented me from sleeping. But here's another outfit for my character Inks. His coffee run look. I don't think a joyful attitude in the early morning is appropriate. XD Hahaha. I'm usually still dead inside even if I sleep ok.

- i hear yu. i used to love to tot when i was young and then when i took my kids. now, no one tot's in my neighborhood even though there are plenty of kids. people are too mistrusting now plus covid lurks everywhere. i say, enjoy it how you can cause the core of it is to enjoy yourself. :)

Yeah, horror stories of kids being harmed by crazy neighbors started the decline of trick-or treating in neighborhoods. Then Covid came and it seems to have basically killed the tradition.
Trick or treating isn't even a thing in some countries. I watched a Youtube video of someone who lived in the UK, and she & her peers only learned of trick-or treating from watching a classic halloween movie.

- it started when i was 11. the the rumors of razorblades in apples and poisoned candy bars. there were even whispers of homicidal maniacs lurking around every corner and in every alley just waiting to snatch unsuspecting trick-or-treaters... i remember having to get my candy x-rayeed to make sure it was ok. ugh. talk about killing the fun. so from 12 until i had kids i did nothing. when the kids came along it was different. i lived in a rural area as opposed to a urban one previously and the responsse to the holiday was completely different. there were no razorblades or maniacs. everyone had a ball and things were good. now the pandemic has reared it's ugly head and changed it all again. i hop that when it's done things will settle into their groove aaagain and we'll have the real halloween back again. i understand what you're saying about the uk but halloween is a american holiday. it didn't originate here but the amalgum of pieces coalesed here and became what we consider halloween. is from the netherlands and they do not have halloween there as we have here either. she hopes that the holiday takes hold there as she likes it and finds it fun. :)

Ah the old 'razor blades in the candy' rumors. Never happened. One of my favorite trick-or-treating rumors is that people give away weed candy to kids XD
I lived in a neighborhood that didn't have a lot of kids so trick-or-treating wasn't too big of a thing for me growing up. I remember when I was really little I had a pumpkin costume for Halloween.
- i heard that rumor too and wondered why people would put weeds in candy. it didn't register until i was older what it meant.at that point i was hoping to get some of that weed candy lol halloween has gone through so many iterations as a holiday that it wouldn't be recognised by people 100 years ago and it'll keep changing. i just hope it changes for the better as we need a fun holiday in our tense society. i bet you were a cute pumpkin. i had to schlep around in an angel costume. i kept getting the wings caught on stuff. lol

That might have not been true, but I heard a story about a crazy gamer putting needles in a cookie. Yeah, that's crazy.
I didn't understand why some people hated Halloween until my family went to the back of a Party City once. Back there there were decorations that looked....really creepy compared to the cutesy decorations I'd seen up 'till that point.

It was a busy nightshift, loads of calls, weird calls, residents doing weird stuff… full moon hit us hard! Well no er nurse but we had enough weird stuff for 1 night!
Was in bed around 8am awake around 10am, darn cats kept waking me up. Gave up around 11:30am on the couch now and the boys (cats)… fast asleep.. really…?!!

Some 2021 items have really dropped in price; I might be able to buy the items I need for pet TCs pretty soon....
