I hadn't ever heard of this about black pepper. I wonder what's in the black pepper that makes it do that? I'll have to look it up some time!
Pretty sure that most things I make with turmeric have black pepper, but, the banana bread didn't. I'm not sure it'd go with, honestly... maybe a tiny bit wouldn't hurt, though. And I think my Garam Masala mix thing does have black pepper in it, so that seems like it would work... I put that in at least once...
Rough day - feeling a little blue over all of the covid stuff in the world. Plus, my hubs was an ass but he just apologized. :-)
dances around with you Oh wait, I'm supposed to be jealous! :-D I'm happy for you and I know how nice it was when my one went full time.
I'm surprised you didn't know that. My supplements don't have the pepper included but I always make sure I eat some before I take them. My stomach doesn't approve of a ton of pepper. :-P
I looked it up! It seems like there's a theory that since the piperine in the black pepper keeps the cucurmin from the turmeric in your bloodstream longer, it might help more that way. But apparently it's absorbed more through being accompanied by fat.
So maybe you don't need the black pepper as long as you eat the turmeric with something fatty? Or have a fish oil supplement with it or a small amount of oil? There were several different versions.
I had a rough weekend between Covid numbers and finding out that four friends died over the past six months. I'm so tired, you know? It sucks when people lose touch. I'm glad hubs apologized!
Hmmm that's really interesting!! So amazing that we have this great thing called the web to learn more about eating healthy! I often wonder how did I find about stuff years ago. lol :-P
It's so rough and it's beating me down. And I haven't even lost a friend... :-( I'm sorry!! <3 And hubs is being an angel today. But I'm still giving him a bit of a cold shoulder. Kind of nice cause he's been cleaning and even cut up my cantaloupe without me asking. :-D
Thanks. I hope you're gentle with yourself. I'm trying to be gentle with me. Hah, glad you're taking him to task.
LOL xD got all the school shopping done today, yea xP now just to wait for next month to be here

SHELBI!!! Can I seez baba :O
I'd show yall a pic but I forgot how to upload pics on here xD ;0;

I've learned to be a bit more gentle on myself. Hubs is still being so sweet! :-D
That's a good feeling! What grades will they be in?
Hey babe!! Congratulations lil mama!! I agree with the Kat - we need to see your bebe!!
Good! I'm still learning gentleness with myself. And good for that, too! <3 I just came back from physical therapy so my hip is maaaad lol
It's not an easy thing to learn. <3 But will the therapy help at some point?
I know. And I'm trying to remember patience. :) It will. It's just the "you're getting back on the bandwagon so it hurts" exercise hump, basically.
ETA: HEY congrats on new bebe~! I hope you're recovering well and baby's doing well? <3
OMG lack of patience is my biggest fault! Have worked on it my whole life, but it's hard when you don't suffer fools easily. :-P I'm glad it eventually will help. I know when I had physical therapy for my neck it helped a lot. Got a stupid Zoom meeting now so will be off for a while.
FOR SERIOUS. Suffering fools gladly is nothing I learned. lol It's a big deal for me and the hypermobility because I lose strength faster than most folx. Okay. I hope the meeting goes well. <3
Wow! That was only a 20 minute meeting. It was actually a webinar for paid Care Providers and which I am. I have several more coming in the next month as the state transitions to a new system of paying Care Providers. Ugh Reading about hypermobility it seems it could be a cool thing or painful as in your case. I used to do yoga and I can tell you I am the exact opposite of flexible. I'm waiting to find out about as she had to go to emergency care today - it's due to her blood pressure going high. 🙏
Being a caregiver is tough. I know I have a friend whose spouse had a stroke? heart attack? and was basically reverted to toddler status. They do okay but it's really hard on them. They handle it with grace but it's not easy. It's pretty wild, yeah. Oh no!!! I hope she's okay! My best wishes! I hope she sees this and tags me on her status about it or whatever. Scary!!
It's really not that tough since it's my daughter. Although, I wouldn't mind a break once in a while... And since she only likes shopping if it's her doing it, it makes me save money. :-P :-D I'll let you know something the second I find out. She's at emergency care right now. 🙏
