Hey! One of my oldest pets, Iason_Mink won spotlight today!
I remember adopting her when the pet limit (5 for normal users, ten for GA) existed. I thought the name was unique and I'd heard aeanoids were sorta rare/ a special case pet on the site. I think she's the first story I ever finished on the site (barring a story that I later used for HarmonyCharm.)

If anyone still needs Masquerade tokens, I have extra. Have a great day!

They're two different species so they're housed separately. Most tarantulas are solitary outside of mating seasons but there are some that you can keep together, as long as they're all the same species and you've got room for a large enough enclosure!
Hands and arms are terrible to heal. They take forever! I jammed my one pointer finger really badly about 2 years ago now and it's only just started bending properly again.
I have so much yarn and so many projects on my list! I'm not terribly good at it but it's good exercise for my hands and it's sort of a bonding activity in my household. We sit in our living room and I knit while my best friend crochets and her husband plays his video games or messes around on the internet with some documentary we all want to watch playing.
Oh no! The zapper can be so evil.
Congratulations!

: I keep you in my prayers Otter Boy, that you may have relief from pain and that you find joy. I appreciate your updates, thank you . You have my deepest empathy for when you are feeling poorly. However, I do not share your interest in spiders, they are an irrational fear of mine and I slapped the snot out of Weldon once when he leaned in for a kiss once, because he had a tiny little spider on his cheek. Not only did I leave three welts on his cheek from where my claws scratched his fur, but I disappointed him by not giving him a kiss. I wouldn't kiss him for days after that, no matter how many times he washed his face. I did manage to get the spider. I don't know what kind it was, from what I could tell, it had 5-1/2 legs. That you can care for these small creatures i[/i] means you are a very special person with way more patience and tolerance then me. Bless you! And bless you for doing needlecraft. has encouraged me to watch some crochet vids to learn to overcome my irrational fears of crocheting and knitting. (yes yes yes...I'm a little bundle of irrational fears...spiders, needlecraft, boiling water...I'm slowly coming to terms with them all. It's one of the curses of ADHD.)
Anyway, I will keep you in my thoughts dear one.
: Wow! That's fantastic news! Congratulations on your Pet Spotlight Win!
: I'm doing OK with trinkets and tokens too, I got several bags the last evening I danced. I'd also be willing to share.
: did you have the carpel tunnel release on your paws? My Author had that surgery on both paws several years ago and he was so glad he did, all the feeling in his fingers came back nearly 100%. He has noticed that items slip from his grip from time to time, but that is so much better than not feeling his their and fourth fingers. Decorations...humph.
: Still safe, I hope. What news we get here is not a lot, am I right? Of course right.
: I could go on and on about garden-life, I love our gardens. I've spent the last four days inside scraping, washing, and re-whitewashing the four main surgeries of Healer's Hall with our cleaning crew. It's the last of Spring Cleaning and I'm tired of being cooped up. This morning, I was out on the farm on tour with the Master of Agriculture, the Master Vigneron, the Master Orchardist and the Master Herbalist to plan out next year's crops and to check on the health of this year's. Later, I plan to work in my small garden plot and thin out my lettuce and cabbages. There are also radishes and carrots to pick. But for now, Welly and I are having a watercress cream-cheese sandwich and some ale for lunch, maybe a little nap and a canoodle.
Yeah, it's crazy. HUNDREDS of rockets shot at cities all over. I called my friend in Ashkelon when the news was interrupted with a red alert in her city. She was watching 30+ rockets out of her window. She said: "Ooh, one fell and now the forest is on fire. Oh but the sunset behind it is really pretty" and then had to get off the phone so she could call the fire department. Crazy reality.
Hugs. SOOOOOOOO nice to see you here
Congrats for the spotlight!

I was so happy to see you. You may not have seen my post. Just in case.

i[/i] Yes, canoodle. We are wee creatures after all. Canoodleing is what a wee little creature does after a watercress sandwich and an ale or two at noon. i[/i]
Do I really bahbahblala? I just thought I went on and on and on and on...... :)
Ah, poor Weldon. He puts up with so much. (wink) I have always loved bugs and have honestly come to wish that I had studied them in university. I would have enjoyed working as a forensic entomologist and using my love of creepy crawlies to solve crimes. As it is, I simply study them in my own time, take care of my little ones, and humbly accept the titles that I have been given by friends in other circles: the Spider King and Grandpa Mothman. I do understand that most people do not share my love of such things, however, and accept that people have their limits. So long as you do not threaten my babies, all is well. I do also prefer that my friends not go out of their way to kill things that are not actually bothering them but irrational fears cause irrational behaviors and I do not hold that against you. As for needlework, I quite enjoy my knitting, as well as sewing and occasional embroidery. In fact, I'm currently helping my best friend learn how to sew! I hope that you can come to a truce with your fear of crochet and can find some joy in it.
Bestie and her hubs bought this big, old farmhouse almost exactly a year ago and it's been great! I moved in last summer, after the apartment in my grandmother's basement sprung some really bad leaks, and the change has honestly been instrumental in the little improvements that I've experienced with some parts of my health. Bestie is also chronically ill, which sucks but is also very helpful because now I live with people who understand my situation much better.
oh my dearest lil ...nooo never blahblah.i read your dauily adventures with gusto..but should a word like canoodling pass through then my head of course gets all turned aroung and i do think everyone knows that ..haha..canoodling
i am glad your health improved several points with you out of a damp baement. you can be there to help you r friend a bit too. what is your issues with help?

I can't imagine what you all must be going through out there. It must be terrifying. How sad to see that some people are beginning to be so conditioned to this being a normal way of life. "...But the sunset is pretty behind it." ): Stay safe, lady. Shalom.
In other news, guys in a couple months, I will once again be continuing with my educational endeavors (fingers crossed). After receiving my master's degree last year and with everything going on with this cursed virus, finding a job in my field has lead to nothing but dead ends. My boyfriend and I spoke and he is going to put me through nursing school!! That was my original plan a few years ago, but I had to drop out due to lack of transportation, which is why I got my master's online. So now I finally get to follow my dream and I don't have to do it alone this time!

My issues with accepting help or just my issues in general? lol I actually do have trouble accepting help sometimes, mostly because of growing up on a farm. There was always a big deal being made about self-sufficiency and dealing with your own problems. The lessons sort of stuck in my mind from an early age that asking for help made you a burden and accepting help put you in debt, which isn't what my family was trying to teach me at all but that's just how it was. My actual issues are mainly that I've been sick for most of my life. I have an autoimmune disorder and may have a form of Ehlers Danlos so my immune system attacks my joints and bones and causes me a lot of pain instead of properly fighting actual illnesses and all of the stuff that holds my body together is kind of floppy and leads to me dislocating things all the time. Bestie has fibromyalgia and we both have arthritis and nerve damage.
Super happy for you! Also, what a brilliant boyfriend. Good on him for helping you reach for your dreams.
