Thank you!

Glad to hear you are doing better. Hope the cough doesn't take too long to improve.

I've been dealing with a stubborn infection (I'm on my third round of antibiotics). I have an MD appt first thing tomorrow and if my doc doesn't like what he sees he's going to make me go to the hospital for more intensive therapy. If I'm lucky it will simply be stronger antibiotics intravenously, but more likely it will be minor surgery, cutting and draining.

Anyhow, I won't be able to let you know because I'd probably go straight from the doc's office to the hospital. If I do end up in hospital it shouldn't be for more than a few days...hopefully. And if it is longer than that, there is wifi available in some places and hopefully I'll be able to contact you with further info from there.

From my non-medical perspective, this new antibiotic doesn't seem to be doing the job, I can only say there seems to be a tiny bit of improvement, but I'm not sure if that's just wishful thinking on my part. Either way, there should be more improvement than I'm seeing, so I'm thinking there's a moderately high chance of getting sent to the hospital.

hugs I really hope they can get you sorted out without needing even minor surgery but please don't worry about things here, we can sort it out as you need to focus on yourself and resting!

Thanks for your well wishes! I did end up going to the hospital, spent all day there yesterday, and got home near midnight. They did the minor surgery and other than feeling exhausted I'm doing okay. Only a little pain today, but its on my right arm and interfering with typing and mousing, so very limited computer time and I'm also going back tomorrow for more follow-up, maybe more pain, maybe a specialist consult depending on what results they see from yesterday's surgery. At least I don't have to STAY at the hospital, being able to come home and sleep here is so much better.

Got this from lull Subject: RE: sublodge Body: hey honey

could you help me out. I need to reset my password on subetalodge but I tried the reset and sending an email but nothing :(

===================== On the personal front I'm doing okay, but will be having problems on the computer for the foreseeable future. Minimum 2 weeks, but could drag on for months.

gross medical stuff So they cut open the wound and drained out a tonne of pus and "gunk" - LOL it was described as gray and greeen stuff, yummy! So now there's this big hole and they stuff gauze inside it - 1 and a half feet of gauze! The idea is to keep the wound from closing at the surface so it can heal from the inside out. If they just let the skin close up and scab over, the wound would just keep producing pus and infection, so they need to keep it open.

Every two days I have to go back to the hospital and they yank the gauze out of the wound, clean it with iodine and saline and stuff more gauze back inside. While the procedure is not so painful as the original cutting open and squeezing out, its not very pleasant.

They gave me pain killers after that first procedure and asked how many I'd taken when I came in for my first "packing" session. She seemed very surprised when I said I hadn't taken any because I didn't need any. In truth while the procedure was painful, once it was done I felt way less pain than I'd been feeling with the untreated infection. I mean it feels weird and I have trouble moving my arm and doing stuff, but its a limitation in motion more than pain. If it weren't affecting my right arm, I'd probably not be impacted at all. I can feel the strain on my wound when I use the mouse or type, it doesn't hurt much, but I don't want to push it and make the healing take longer.

Anyhow my next packing procedure is tomorrow and I've been ordered to take one of the painkillers before my appointment, which is probably a good idea. They said that as the wound progresses they'll be able to space out the packing a little longer, maybe 3 or 4 days instead of two.

- Wow, that sounds intense. I'm glad you're feeling significantly less pain. Hopefully that trend continues for you. <3

Oh man, that sounds wildly unpleasant but I really hope they can get it completely sorted out this way and that your recovery goes smoothly once you get past this portion of it.

I am unfortunately at work during this release and start of morostide but if everyone is busy, I will get this all added and announced when I get home tonight (about 6 hours or so)!

I'll try entering stuff and see how it goes. I'm doing better, but haven't tested my limits yet.

I'm going to take it slowly.

Thank you both so much! I ended up being quite sick after work unfortunately. I'm okay-ish now though.

There's an edit skins button and I was trying to figure out how to add the three latest skins but sadly I realized there's somewhere I can't see/find that we have to add the images themselves to SL first haha so I cannot.

I do have the image links for you at least:
