I hope Survival starts soon, I'm ready to see what strains they created this year. Is it summer yet?...or at least spring? After this week, any temp about 20 degrees is going to feel warm.
My birthday is March 17th.
We still need to get the rest of the garage emptied out but it's been too dang cold here all week (real feel in the negatives every day). But we've gotten some stuff done inside, instead. The bedroom and living room have now been repainted, the kitchen and dining room have new lights and soon the dining room and hallway will be repainted. Don't feel bad, I never seem to accomplish much while Chris is at work except doing laundry. I'm feeling better now. My neck keeps getting tight and then a migraine follows.
Rehoming the dog was by choice. She kept attacking our other three dogs. I don't know if she was trying to make a power move to become alpha or what. We found someone somewhat local that fosters dogs, so I'm sure she'll find a home that's a better fit for her.
The ankhegs were described to us as cockroach/praying mantis hybrids, something I don't want to come across again. I do, I just have to figure out when and how to enact my plans. Thanks! I'm hoping the next session is really fun. We're meeting in a couple weeks to play again, but the youngest brother-in-law can't come because he has to work later. Right now, I think the plan is for him to be in a video/zoom call with us, but our DM has his character sheet.
I can not fall asleep quickly at all most nights, only if I'm exhausted. Last night I couldn't fall asleep until 2 a.m.

Yeah, it's mind-boggling how some people just don't seem to care about keeping things, esp. from loved ones. I hang on to everything too, but I'm getting better about not keeping every Christmas card. The thing that's really hard for me is getting rid of something that was a gift from someone. I just feel so bad.
Two of mine chew on cardboard boxes and sometimes they'll chew on paper. They have commandeered the dog toys though, I guess they like the crinkly sounds they make. I haven't started on the cabin diamond painting yet (need to clear off the table), but when it's completed I'll take a picture of it. I need to figure out how to keep it safe from the cats when I'm not working on it.
I know. It honestly doesn't feel like we've been here that long. And it's starting to feel like a different house now that we're getting rooms repainted. The living room looks so different now that it's a dark gray. However, I regret looking at the living room carpet with a blacklight. The previous owner's dog obviously had some issues because there are spots everywhere blegh I hate to think what the carpets look like in the other rooms.
It seems like Chris and I are still on the same page. I've been about a week late and Chris said he'd be happy with a positive test as Valentine's gift...except my period started today, so my cycles have been off for two months now (I track them with an app on my phone and they used to start when predicted)

I usually just lay there for way too long before I finally nod off. Some times I just feel like giving up, but I know if I get back up again I wont get any sleep at all.

I haven't gotten a Christmas card in years. Most of the people I know don't even send them out. Yeah I never get rid of gifts. It just feels so rude or soemthing. Now if it is from an ex then that crap can burn lmao!
Oh geeze! I guess if I get a cat I better get it plenty of stuff to chew on. Oh that is going to be a challenge. You might have to shut it up in a closet or something. I can imagine you coming home to find tiny paw prints all over it lol.
I bet it feels so nice to make it your own. Hopefully you will be able to replace the carpet soon. Maybe you should invest in a steam cleaner of some kind until then, or at least rent one.

Hey Hun hugs Added to the list! For some odd reason I always thought it was closer to Christmas lol. Things have been good. I am sick of winter too! It has been freezing this past week so no chance of any of the snow melting. Plus it has been snowing lightly off and on just to add on to it! Come on Spring :D

They just posted that survival is coming soon. They’re struggling with weather related outages and stuff, which I admit that I didn’t even think about for places outside of my state lol. We’ve been in a deep freeze with on and off snow that I forget sometimes that other places have this crap too. There’s ice storms causing outages too so I can see where that could be a struggle. But at least survival is coming! I’m curious to see what types of stuff they have in store for us this year!

Oh I know, we have family and friends in Texas and they’ve been posting snow pictures lol. The natives are probably losing their minds. Kentucky has been having ice storms and snow. They’re not used to it either.
We are supposed to get hit with snow either tonight or tomorrow. I am hoping against hope that they are wrong!!
Feel free to wish the snow to Massachusetts. We are getting a lot more rain than snow this week...

I REALLY need to drag my rear out of the house and go grocery shopping!! Every time I think about going out there my brain just screams "Don't go! It is sooooooo cold out there!!" Then I put it off more and more. I wish I could win the lottery just so I can pay someone else to go the grocery store for me lol!

You’re probably thinking of Alex’s being on Christmas Eve! :) We’ve had storms the last 3 Tuesdays (we had around 19” of snow the last one- gross) and they’re calling for freezing rain, snow and just crap again tomorrow. C’mon spring!

It snowed here yesterday morning but not much. Woke up this morning to the temps being -17 with a real feel of -35. Then discovered that I had no water because the pipe coming into the house froze. It currently has a heat lamp pointed at it and that lamp will stay there until Friday. I wish it was snowing here, instead of just being cold and breezy.
We have gotten a fair amount done, doesn't seem like it some days when boxes are still piled around. We got the dining room and hallway painted yesterday. Now the only yellow room left is the kitchen. If I had managed to get my tree up, it would still be up now...or at least it would have been until we painted the living room.
They were so gross. I moonbeamed two of them for three rounds to slowly damage them. I did a zoom call after Christmas and the connection and audio were terrible. We'll let them try the video call but since the youngest doesn't have his character sheet, our DM will have to look up his stats every time he rolls, which will get old fast. So Chris and I are thinking about suggesting that instead of struggling through that, the character just stays behind at the ship because they need help building something.
I could not get to sleep at all Friday night. I watched D&D on Youtube until 2 a.m. when I was finally tired enough to sleep.

That's our belief as well. After her last attack, we took her out to my parents to be isolated from the other dogs while we looked for a new home for her. The last update we got from the foster was that she was adjusting well and was already house trained. Weird thing is, the foster has a cat and a Border Collie and said our dog was getting along fine with them. I hope things are still going well and that she hasn't started attacking again.
I don't get many Christmas cards, mostly from family. This year I narrowed down my list of who I send cards out too and that list might get narrowed down again. Yeah, I just feel so awful getting rid of something that someone else bought for me....unless it's a person that I don't really like being around. Darn!...I don't have any exes so I have nothing to burn
Mine love crinkly toys and every now and again they'll tear after a jingly ball. The oldest one loves to carry around a small stuffed monkey and one of the younger ones has a thing for feet. It's kinda been trial and error figuring out what they like, def didn't expect them to love the dog toys. I know for sure they love the laser light because they try to steal it when I put it down. I will have to either put it in a closet or cover it with books. I already bought plastic jars for the diamonds because I know one of my cats will steal the bags and then I'll be picking up colored dots for days.
It does and it does feel more like a home now that most of the yellow walls are gone. And now that most of the walls are painted, we can finally start hanging things up. We got a steam cleaner for Christmas and have used it in the living room once already. We went over the carpet three times and the water was still turning brown.
They really do have an app for everything now, but the period tracker apps come in really handy because I can never remember of the top of my head when it started the month prior. The downside to having an app for everything is that people are greedy and decide to tie some features to a subscription.
That could be it :) We just keep getting snow. I love it for Christmas, but then I just want it to go away lol.
I hate the snow more then I do the cold. My car is crap in the snow. The other day I slid right through a 4 way intersection. Thankfully there were no other cars around. We have had to pipes break so far this winter. It is awful to be without water!
I always loved a yellow kitchen :) makes it seem so bright and cheery! I guess it depends on the shade though.
When Emily was playing a FF game online (I can't remember the name) she always made me kill the nasty bug looking monsters. I hated that! I didn't want to look at them either!!

Hopefully she can find a good permanent home. It is always sad to have to give away an animal. I had to do that after Emily was born. I had a cocker spaniel and she hated having Emily around. When I would put her in her swing the dog would nip at her feet. I had to find her a new home. I felt bad about it, but I just too worried that she would hurt Emily.
I don't get/ send any cards. I don't have anyone to send them too, and I would hate to go the post office. I try to avoid going. Lol be thankful you have no cheap crap to burn :P

I can't imagine having the almost the whole house one color unless it is a neutral color like an off white or something. Ugh that carpet sounds like a nightmare! As long as nothing is seeping in underneath it maybe one day you can get all the filth out of it. Unless you are able to replace it first.
I could never remember. i always told myself to mark it on the calendar or something, but I never did. I can never remember for some odd reason. I am getting tired of everything having a subscription and a big fee. One day we are just going to be paying for every little thing in life.
I hope they start survival on Friday afternoon so I will have the weekend to work on whatever they have for it. It's kinda annoying though when I get home from work and find out something started and I'm already 1/2 day or more behind. Hope they have some good skins this year.
